People have been sleeping on seymour duncan pedals for ages, but SD has been making killer pedals for years. You rarely see them on boards, a lot of people don't seem to know that SD makes pedals. SD pedals are very underrated
Good functionality overall. Delay pedals have sure come a long way. Definitely the pitch functions & variants are cool & going to make this sought after. And it's Seymour Duncan!!
I love how Seymour Duncan consistently and quietly release some of the most outstanding pedals, ever. This thing got leaked on r/guitarpedals a few weeks ago and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it ever since! Seems like a real competitor to the DOD Rubberneck... Great demo, mate. 😎👍
I've got a Helix, but I still lust after uber-weird modulation and delay pedals. I've wanted a Rubberneck for ages, and now this. My bank account may never recover.
Used to have a Rubberneck. Didn't care too much for the rubberneck effect, bought it mainly cause it has long delay times, tap tempo and an fx loop. Found out I don't actually ever need analog delays with huge delay time, and that the fx loop on the rubberneck is REALLY finnicky in the way it messes with the tone/level controls when something's plugged into the loop. The presets on the VP Deluxe are sweet too, but it costs about twice as much as a Rubberneck :/
Some of your sounds in the pitch sequence were really cool! Btw, one thing that almost no one covers on these is the use and saving of presets. I find it to be one of the attractive features (analog delay with memory on board) as opposed to having to go through menus or having a controller.
So what would happen of I put a Volume pedal in the FX insert? What would happen if I just put it in alone, and what would happen if I made a sub-daisy-chain on the insert, with maybe three pedals and the volume pedal is the middle one?
Funny my slightly oxidized 6505+ effects loop did the same sometimes, so I sold it and use Nolly exclusively as any bad sounds are on me and not the hardware.
Great demo but where was all the clipping coming from? Wasn’t a pleasing distortion so I’m guessing it was on its way in to your audio interface? Asking because I’m trying to get a sense of this pedals headroom.
Reminds me of the Matthews Astronomer....I like where these pedals are headed lately. BTW, are those 1/4" steel pipes that you're using for frets there on the Tele'? Whew, must feel scalloped! Nice, great job as always Rabea.
I wonder how the Vapor Trail Deluxe compares to the Delay Llama Supreme and Chase Bliss Thermae, not on delay quality or a "which is better?" metric, but in their different approaches to pitch-sequenced analog delay. It seems like a new and exciting realm of delay that I hope becomes a big deal and sees some serious usage in songs; I, for one, love this sound so much.
What I like about that cheap old Fender delay is the dry channel is always 100% dry and the wet channel is always 100% wet. It is usually the first pedal on my board and almost always on. Switching it off cuts out the wet channel -- and its amp --entirely. Meanwhile the dry channel goes straight into my main amp without effects.
Wet out would just be the delay signal without your unaffected guitar and dry would be the unaffected guitar without any delay. It’s useful if you want to split into 2 amps, into a stereo effects chain, or for certain recording setups.
The pitch sequence effect sounds like a Phaser that is tight shifted and the pitch bend effect sounds like a signalling between two UFO's in space I would have loved to get the vapor trail deluxe
I had the original one and sold it for a DOD Rubberneck for functionality but honestly the vapor trail had a slightly better sound when just comparing echos.
Really? They seem to have the same amount of effects, the vapor trail actually seems more intricate. I am thinking about selling me DOD Rubberneck for it 😅
I use to plug an MXR Phase 90 and a Strymon Flint reverb in the TRS insert of the old Vapor Trail. Great recipe to get some Pink Floyd on steroids. Good to see the new one still has this insert. I play this pedal in the loop of my old Mesa Dual Rectifier Rev G heads. Doesn't work in my old Soldano SLO100. Well you know how the loop of the old SLO can be intolerant... Why in these amps? Because the Vapor Trail is made for high gain soloing. It's a master piece for shred of hell. Unfortunately... you just played clean here !!! WTF Rabea ?! Here is your punishment : do another video when playing the Vapor Trail on the high gain chan of the SLO and your LesPaul ! Hurry up. And 1st of all, about this new delay, I'd like to know if we can control the mix knob with the expression pedal, as it is possible to do with the EHX DMM 1100-TT, the Chase Bliss Tonal Recall and the Supro 1313. If we just can control the rate, or the speed or anything else, I don't care. The mix is the most important to be able to engage the delay in a progressive way, without switching. So ?
"We'll just dial in a quick sound" = best thing you ever heard

I'm not familiar with their others but I've want d this one for a while. It sounds great and has some great extras too.
I too have been obsessed with the open D major progression for ambient songs.
I thank you for that. Open D is what I need
Seymour Duncan absolutely crushes the pedal game, seems they've released another prime example of that with this one
Great demo. Great sound! Just ordered one of these. I’m a fan of analog Seymour Duncan pedals. I’ve got the Catalina and Shapeshifter.
I respect your upfront honesty, Rabea. You seem a good dude.
I’m glad they picked you for a demo.
I just about lost it… This is quite possibly the best delay I’ve heard.
Good functionality overall. Delay pedals have sure come a long way. Definitely the pitch functions & variants are cool & going to make this sought after. And it's Seymour Duncan!!
Love that Ride song….I’m sure it’s a lovely pedal too.
I love how Seymour Duncan consistently and quietly release some of the most outstanding pedals, ever.

That's exactly what I was thinking - It's really like their take on the Rubberneck concept.

Have the Seymour Duncan 805 overdrive ...it’s awesome !!
Amazing sounds and video!
Great demo 👌🏻
So what would happen of I put a Volume pedal in the FX insert?
What would happen if I just put it in alone, and what would happen if I made a sub-daisy-chain on the insert, with maybe three pedals and the volume pedal is the middle one?
you can control the volume of the repeats. You can chain anything there
Loving your JP signature model. Another great demo by an incredible guitarist.
Is 5 delay pedals adequate or do I need more?
I think with only 2 more you should be good
You need more!!!
I'm with chris urban on this one. You need more!! 😆🤣
More
I remember when I started out with only 5 delay pedals
I do love a good “wet insert”…
Funny my slightly oxidized 6505+ effects loop did the same sometimes, so I sold it and use Nolly exclusively as any bad sounds are on me and not the hardware.
Omf I need this! I love my Vapor Trail but this is next level!
Still one of my favs re analog delay. This looks like a rubberneck killer.
You really can tell just how much Nuno has influenced Bea's playing especially when he plays clean ..... ridiculously sick AF :)
Great demo but where was all the clipping coming from? Wasn’t a pleasing distortion so I’m guessing it was on its way in to your audio interface? Asking because I’m trying to get a sense of this pedals headroom.
“Hey! Rabea made another pedal demo. Doesn’t matter which one because “Rabea made another pedal demo.””
Reminds me of the Matthews Astronomer....I like where these pedals are headed lately.
BTW, are those 1/4" steel pipes that you're using for frets there on the Tele'? Whew, must feel scalloped! Nice, great job as always Rabea.
Great demo. Nice delay pedal. Love to compare this to the Walrus D1 Mako. Close in cost. Similar vibe and functions. hm

Amazing video review and awesome Delay!!!! Can we use it at 18 volts? What's the difference with 9volts?
Yes and none. It converts to the same voltage
Rabea, reverb into delay or delay into reverb? Your ambient sounds are incredible😩
Rabea what about a quick guitar collection Video? Would love to see it
Friend of mine has a guitar shop in a small Irish town. In walks a local lad asking if they have any ‘Seamus Duncan’ pickups 😂

I really like that pedal mixed with the Fatbee pedal
Great Demo Rabea!!! Hey man what gauge strings you using on that Tele? Jumbo Frets? Cheers Mate!!!
Can the expression control be used for remote tap tempo?
I don't what wet and dry are and how you can incorporate both at the same time can you explain
Deciding between this and the Delay Llama Extreme. Thoughts from anyone who owns the extreme and watched this demo?
I have the llama. Llama might sound a touch better but I don't like the hidden controls on the LLama.
Sounds good.
that's a great sound
That pitch thing on the tap tempo is so cool. It’s a bit like the Memory Man with Hazarai. ✨
Or DOD Rubberneck.
@@HenritheHorse Oh yeah! 🙌🏻 I feel like that pedal sounds like the band “Battles” in a box. Rainbow Machine does similar stuff too. 🌈
Could someone explain the “wet” signal to me if it’s not too complicated for a comment. Thanks.
I had the original one and sold it for a DOD Rubberneck for functionality
but honestly the vapor trail had a slightly better sound when just comparing echos.
Really? They seem to have the same amount of effects, the vapor trail actually seems more intricate. I am thinking about selling me DOD Rubberneck for it 😅
This is the deluxe, the old version was a lot more basic but still sounds great.
I though that the octave shift here is better than the rubberneck effect...
Take my money!!
I use to plug an MXR Phase 90 and a Strymon Flint reverb in the TRS insert of the old Vapor Trail. Great recipe to get some Pink Floyd on steroids. Good to see the new one still has this insert.

So ?
Wet input. Giggity
Great for creating ambient/ textural or spacial layers in a studio application..
Not something I would want on my main board.
Nice sock
A poor man's Hologram
Another delay pedal demo…demo…demo….demo…demo…demo…demo.
