  • Installing 3" Bro-Tek Wheel Spacers on my Kubota B2301 Compact Tractor.
Some tractors are inherently unstable when operating on hilly terrain running sideways along the fall line, especially with weight in the front bucket.
This video shows how to install 3" wide spacers between the rear axle flanges and wheels to increase the rear track by 6" total.
After the installation I added footage of the tractor in operation.
    Thank you:

Thank you for taking the time to do the video. I've been debating on getting extensions after flipping a B2620. I'm 100% Combat Disabled Veteran having 11 broken vertebrae so flipping is infinitely more dangerous for me. This video tipped the scales on the extensions.

I’ve been contemplating putting spacers on mine. You have what I believe is the best video on this subject. Straight to the point. I’m gonna do it.

Excellent video, thank you. Clear explanation, excellent camera work (in-focus, closely cropped), and none of the annoying small-talk that is so typical of TH-cam videos that never get to the point. Much appreciated.

Great video, I just picked up the same tractor and I live on an extremely hilly property, I’ll be adding the front 1.5 also. Thank you for walking me through the process!

Great video... answered all my questions! I've got the B2601 and wheel spacers will be my first mod. Frustrating that Kubota didn't widen the stance from the factory by providing longer axles.
Re. Bro-Tek, I could not agree more. Richard is very responsive to questions and makes excellent quality products. I bought wheel spacers and skid plates for my BX which allowed me go anywhere with it.

Great video, just fyi to others, my rear studs fought me to the very last thread, I had to use a cheater bar for all 12, the entire thread length - man it was frustrating. I honestly thought on the first few that they were cross threaded!

I also have a b2301 and live on a hilly area here in Oregon. Everything still working well with these? Also, like others have said, nice brief video with good info, thanks!

I use my tractor almost every day. No issues with the spacers whatsoever. Thanks!

I'm still trying to figure out why Bro Tek sells these wheel spacers for $280 or why someone would spend that kind of money on them when you can put jeep wheel spacer on for $60 from Amazon. Same bolt pattern same everything.

Very helpful! Did you consider front spacers instead of or in addition to the rear spacers? Thanks!

Thanks Paul, in my research, I determined that I did not need front spacers. The rear ones have provided all the stability I need for now.

Its been a couple years how is that holding up with spacers and fluid filled tires?

    • @KWSHOOTZ

I've put around 180 hrs of use on the tractor after installing the spacers. I use it on hillsides for hauling wood & rocks, and also use it on a steep boat ramp to launch/retrieve a 4000 lb boat. The spacers are holding up well and I've had no issues wit the tractor.

I just got a b2601 basically same as yours but bro tek website does not show 3 inch spacers for b2301 or b2601? Do you have the part#? Great great video by the way great camera angles and clear consiese step by step instruction again good job!

Thank you. I just looked back thru my e-mails and didn't see the part number. If you e-mail Richard directly at Bro-Tea he will know which ones you need and provide pricing.

You stated the tires were fluid filled my understanding is that you either fill the tires with liquid OR put spacers but not both am I way wrong here?

    • @KWSHOOTZ
      @KWSHOOTZ  5 ปีที่แล้ว

Good question here. When I was doing my research I personally never saw any documentation stating that the fluid in the tires should be removed if installing wheel spacers. The hardware supplied with the Bro-Tek Spacers seems strong enough to support the tractor and wheel/tire combo even with the fluid inside. I like having the extra weigh along with the wider stance on hilly terrain. Hope this helps!

My 2 cents...the weight of the fluid is centered on the tire and is what I would consider unsprug weight. I would think the physical location of the rim in relation to the centerline of the axle bearing could do more damage than the fluid filled tires.
Great video, I just picked up a set of the kubota spacers which are only a little over a inch so I have space for a set of chains. While I would have liked the extra width I'm always maxing out my 3 point hitch with a log winch and whatever big log I can get so maybe I'm better off with the narrower design.

Great video. After watching you adding the spacers I think I may do the same to my "older" B2710 tractor. Have a problem getting chains on because of limited clearance the Bro-Tek wheel spacers see to provide the answer I have been looking far. Thanks again for taking the time to share with all of us.
