About 25 years ago while attending a seminar with DH (it was for his work), I sat with a bunch of paper and a ruler and designed a bunch of quilt blocks very similar to this but never got around to actually making them because of the problem with the excess fabric in the corner. My plan was to make them with all solids due to the Amish influence in the area where DH grew up. I think you just solved my problem and I will be making another quilt soon.
That's Awesome❣️ Happy Quilting❣️
What delightful secondary patterns this block makes❣️ THANK YOU so much for sharing it. I'm not sure when but I definitely want to make it.
Beautiful Tracy! Wonderful video
Beautiful block Tracy, just looks complicated when you do the first block but actually straight forward. May I suggest if you do another one that when you put in the small bottom corner piece that you cut away the muslin and ends of block but leave both layers of you accent piece. You have a double layer with the rest of the block and this will give you the same at the bottom. Instead of a single layer , you have the same strength all the way around.
@@christenakavanagh5696 I was wondering about that. You could fold the muslin under and cut off all the little strips and then it would be like the rest! That’s a great idea!
It’s so beautiful! Thank you!
Regardless of how long you have been quilting(me, I have been quilting for about 30 years) you can always learn a new trick, thank you for a new idea and for a very good step by step instruction video. I am now today a jew subscriber. Hope you hit you goal.
Amazingly creative quilt. Appreciate how you turned the units of the blocks to give 3 different looks to use in that quilt design. ❤ it!
It is truly a kaleidoscope! I can't decide which layout I like the best! They are all amazing!
They're all breathtaking! I love them all!💕🌹🦋
I have picked my fabric, understand the first white block is 12.5 x 12.5 but what size should i cut for the red and the white,.
Amazing! You have hit this one out of the park! All 3 layouts are gorgeous! I can’t pick a favorite! Thank you for sharing your pattern.
Yay❣ I'm so glad you love it❣
I LOVE this quilt. Just a reminder: once starch is applied do not use steam when pressing. The steam dissipates the starch. Thank you for sharing.
Sewing this using the freezer paper method, measuring one block and stitching through a stack of freezer paper would speed this process up significantly! I only use the freezer paper method, did one on paper and decided I’d never rip out paper again, lol.
This block is very pretty and reminds me a little of art deco style especially when on point. Glad you are feeling better.😊
Замечательный блок и классные варианты. Спасибо.
This kaleidoscope quilt is absolutely beautiful thank you Tracy for this tutorial
You knocked it out of the park on this one! Congrats on a great looking block with room for variety. Thanks for sharing it with the quilt family.
My pleasure❣️ Thanks for supporting my channel...I appreciate it so much❤️
I love all three layouts! My question is, are you going to have a company print out this quilt block onto a stabilizer so we could buy it? Would be so much easier than having marked every single block before sewing them! I would buy them!!! Thinking about taking one block to a printer to have copies made up for me!
That’s a great idea!
Stunning pattern. You did a fantastic job explaining how you made the block. Number 1 I think is my favorite 😍. But all of them were cool. Thank you
This nice lady needs more subscribers, she gets enough and it will help defray the costs of making the videos! Really enjoyed the tutorial!!! As soon as I have time to breathe I want to try one! Thank you!
Love it a table runner would look lovely in that pattern
Thanks for the pattern, enjoyed watching, I liked all versions.
I could watch you all day, you are such a joy. thank you.
Me too!!!!!!!
Wow what a different quilt block! Beautiful! Another hit!
Thank you so much❣️
Reilly Reilly Beautiful Very dificulte to chose all of them super

Oh my gosh - what an amazing block! I love all the layouts so I’m not gonna pick one - they all are winners! You are so soothing to listen to and learn from.
Spectacular block! Your tutorials are so clear and easy to follow. Thank you so much! I can't wait to make this quilt!

I absolutely love this block! All three patterns are gorgeous, however I like the last setting the best. Thank you for the video, it’s very informative!
👍🌹 Очень красивый блок! Супер! Спасибо.🌸
WOWZA! 😳🎉😳 I LOVE ALL 3 LAYOUTS of this ABSOLUTELY AMAZING QUILT TOP! I can’t believe how many different designs you can actually achieve with this one block! Fantastic job! 🥰❤️😘🎉
Absolutely beautiful! Great tutorial! I’m dizzy!
Love this! I’m wondering how it would work using freezer paper piecing.
I can’t wait to try this block!!!!
these layouts are stunning! You've done a lot of hard work on pattern! Could you give us yardage amounts of each color? I didn't see it on the pattern download. Thank you !
Yes - I would like yardage amount also.
Tracy, glad you're feeling better! I have a tip for you. If you go to a U-Haul store that sells packing materials for packing and moving your house you can buy a box of wrapping paper. It's usually around $30 for 500 sheets. The paper is actually unprinted newspaper and is about the size of a newspaper folded in half vertically - so good sized. If you lower your stitch length, the paper tears away easily. You could make the block you showed us using the paper as foundation. I've also used it as a stabilizer when doing machine applique. I think it would be good to spread around your table when using basting spray, too. Thanks for your hard work! Love your channel!😊
Love your ideas Dana!! Thank you so much❣️
Great tip
Alright!! Here I go again with this fantastic pattern! Thx so very much for the variety of suggestions!
Thank you, Tracy. I'm glad you are feeling better! I always enjoy your videos and so appreciate your clear instructions. This is a beautiful block! Take care. Have a great day! ❤😊
Thank you for such kind feedback❤️ I'm happy to be feeling better too🙃

YOU ARE A VERY GOOD TEACHER! THANK YOU!
It's been years since I've made any kind of quilt because of limited space. Well, I'm in a new house and now have room. I'm currently working on a quilt for my daughter. I came across your video on how to make a kaleidoscope share. I've seen them before and wanted to always make one. Thank you so much for posting this video. This is going to be my next project. My husband even really liked it. I love it ❤. Thanks again.
I needed to see the back! The muslin side.
I have made two blocks so far so easy thank you so much
Love love love the block. It’s like foundation paper piecing with fabric!
YES!!!❤️
Thank you for the free pattern your instructions are good 😊
Stunning! Love the ombre fabric, it adds so much dimension to the block/quilt.
loved it. You explained it great. I'm sure I will be trying this out.
Tracy, I think this is amazing. I guess I'll have to try it and find out what colors I like. Thank you for your tutorials!
Gorgeous block. I loved all of the layouts of it! You are a great teacher. Great tutorial! 💕
Thank you so much Cassie❣️
This looks like a fun block. I can’t wait to try it out.
I am so going to do this. I loved it.
This is just beautiful. A real winner 🎉🎉
I love, love, love this. I cannot say which layout I like best...I loved them all.
Tracy, the one you have pictured on the main page is my favorite. Beautiful quilt! Good job 🎉
It's a bit overwhelming. Love the quilt, its a lot of measuring and back and forth up and down. Beautiful!
What a stunning design!! Thank You!
Thank you Jenn❣️
This is very nice! Definitely saving this. ❤
I love the versatility of the design and the colors you chose were great for your tutorial. Mahalo!!😁

I love to see your totirials. You make it so clear that I believe that I could do it. Thanks
You can do it!🎉
You are an amazing designer! Thank you so much for sharing
from Gerry- You are correct. This is stunning. I like the first one, but all are gorgeous. God bless.
Спасибо большое! ❤
Amazing tutorial and fabulous video thanks for sharing your knowledge and beautiful ideas
Absolutely amazing Tracey! This has got to be your best quilt yet and I already totally love everything you do. You’ve really inspired me to give it a go. I think you’re right - one block a day and take your time x
Oh my!! THIS has me excited to try as my first ever quilt top!! ❤
I love the quilt behind u. Also love colors. What’s the pattern and suggestions on the same color on ur quilt I’m not to great on picking fabric that’s why I usually get kits.
I think this is the fifth time I've watched this. I have a cold, and your soothing voice put me to sleep partway through. I started this time (5:30 am) about 10 minutes in and finally watched it all. This is so complex, but I can see how it would become easier after a few blocks. Lots of prep work with drawing all the lines!
Happy to help❣️ LOL😂
Thank you, beautiful block, not sure i will do it, but i do love it
This is incredible!
I really like this method because you can apply it to any size block with out having to figure out fractions of measurements. My oldest granddaughter is getting married in June and this block is tempting me to make them a Christmas quilt!
Thankyou absolutely really beautiful an stunning might have to try this😊🎉❤
What a beautiful pattern I hope to do it justice thank you very much love it😍
Third layout was my favorite. I'm a beginner.
Gorgeous! Clear, concise teaching. New subscriber!
Beautiful. That fabric really helps with the effect as well.
Beautiful, Tracy! The fabric is absolutely gorgeous, as well!
Thank you❤️ I agree...the fabric really makes it shine❣️
Such a beautiful block! Thank you.
I appreciate the great detailed work you put into your videos, as well as your quilt patterns and other sewing ideas. I love this kaleidescope pattern!
Love the different ways to put it together ❤
my gosh. What a wonderful instructor you are.! Thank you for sharing your talent and time.❤️
Great design, Tracy. If you made the foundation paper piecing it would sell.
Love this tutorial, I do tend to catch your tutorial’s after the fact but I have to say I am excited to make not one but a few of them and change the directions as you showed at the end… WOW… all layouts are stunning
Love this tutorial and you are such a calm and soothing instructor like Bob Ross I think that was the painters name. Thank you
Hey Tracy! WOW! You really outdid yourself with this quilt block tutorial. Makes an amazing quilt pattern regardless which layout you choose. Can't say I have a favorite. The last 2 layouts are really cool. So very, very happy to see that you'll be breaking the 150K subscriber mark within the next day or so. Not sure when I subscribed to your channel, but I believe it was in 2020. Congrats in advance! By the time I hit the "comment" button to post this, you'll probably already be at 150K. Woo-hoo!!! 🎈🎈🥳🍾🎉💃🏻🎊 Hugs to you! 🥰 Dori
Thank you Dori❣️ I love all the layouts.....seems no matter which way the blocks are turned that something new emerges❤️ This is an exciting block for sure❣️Happy New Year Friend🎉
You made that block so much easier than it looked. I think I may want to put it on my list.
Yay🎉 Have fun with it❣️
Ms. Tracy, this is fantastic! I will make templates and do a scrappy version, most likely. I cant wait to get started! Thank you for your patient and clear instructions, and your hard work to share this with others ❤
Awe Thank you Sara❣️ I hope you make it🎉
