Deb from Huckleberry’s Fabrics Inc. demos the very useful 60 Degree Triangle Ruler from Creative Grids. Using different types fabrics and many options for using the ruler.
With Christmas fabrics, you have a perfect Segway for a tree skirt. Simply sew your 3 pieces, but instead of adding all 3 to the other side, simply add one at a time, but don't join the last pieces. Doesn't make much sense without showing it with each piece. Like making a giant table topper, without joining the last seam. Then quilt, bind, and you have a tree skirt. Make it whimsical or over the top elegant by changing fabric. I've used 60° triangles for many different effects.
I just discovered you, and I love this tutorial!! In the tutorial you mention a tutorial using this ruler with sewn strips. I can't find that tutorial. Would you mind sharing the link? Thank you!
The black botanical Fabric was really beautiful. You would have to buy something like that by the bolt to make a quilt. Have you already done the math on yardage for border fabrics and bed sizes? What are the fabric widths?
I was like “ no! Don’t cut!” Wrong side! Lol!
hahaha

the fabric width is 44" . Deb did a tablerunner
Fell in love with these patterns years ago always was afraid to start. where can I get the fabric to start.
I replied to your other comment. My apologies I don't monitor the comments as often as I do for our Social Media
Who make the fabric..what's it called please..I got loads of inspiration from your video..thankyou
It was a Jason Yenter fabric and we no longer have it sorry
Can you please tell me the name And manufacturer of the pastel rainbow stripe that you said would make a cute baby quilt? Thank you!
It was at the 24:00 mark.
My apologies I did not see your question till now. It was made by Hoffman
What is that hanging on the wall holding your pieces?
Sorry did not see your question till now. It's flannel with grid lines
I want some fabric where on your site can I get what you are showing. I have trying to do this pattern for a long time it looks so easy.
We don't have a website. The fabric Deb used is no longer available but any border print works well.
Where do you find your border prints? Do you sell them or you have a favorite site? Please provide your store site.
We had that border print and try to have some in stock
wow! How can I get that fabric?
Which fabric? You can call 1-877-339-4059
Is there a book to go along with the tool I need a book
Creative Grids Rulers do come with Instructions. We don't have a book for this. It was done by experimenting.
A better fix for the cutting mistake would be to shift the focus point on the left side, and recut the left, instead of patching the right side
There is always more than one way to fix a problem :)
Would be nice to hear what they are saying
Sorry Nancy that you have no sound. There is sound
Sound is there, but you aren’t speaking at the camera, sounding mumble
Still a good video
I have my volume as high as it will go & I can't hear you very well at all.
At our end it's ok. I'm not sure what you can change to fix it. Sorry
You need to turn you microphone up as it is hard to hear you. I do hear other TH-cam videos very well, but not yours.
Our microphone is turned up and we always do a test. Sorry it's not working for you :(
