  • I hate Simplex with a burning passion. However, some of you seem to really love their products, so this one is for you! The intro sums it up pretty nicely. Enjoy!

    I like Simplex, but they definitely wouldn’t be my first choice if I needed a system in a building. I don’t really like Honeywell either. Honestly, my favorite is Siemens, but I also like some other smaller brands like Potter and Mircom.
    I think Simplex systems provide pretty good protection, but that’s about all they have going for them.
    Unfortunately, I live in a smaller area where we don’t have a lot of choice over brand (although most of the options aren’t that bad). Currently, the only distributors/ FA companies in my area sell Siemens, Potter, Autocall, or Edwards. Siemens is what you see in almost every new building and almost every school in my area.
    At the end of the day, as long as a system is working, that’s all that matters to protect people and property.
    Sorry about the long comment lol. Keep up the good videos!

      I appreciate the long comment honestly; it's nice when someone cares enough to type one. My issue with Simplex is that their systems are incredibly buggy. I have one system in our contracts that will throw random pull station troubles and require them to be replaced. That same system rejected an address after an isolator test, and upon trying to clear it with a reboot, the system bootlooped. It's to the point where one of our main contracts (a massive one) has a rule that contractors can't install Simplex in their buildings.
      Siemens is really good. Lots of people talk crap about it but I really like their systems. Mircom too.

      Nope. This one's at the opposite end of the city.

      Simplex 4906-9129s (TrueAlerts). My Short titled "TrueAlerts are loud" was filmed in the same building.

    I only prefer Simplex and EST

      I respect your opinion, but if you do end up getting into the field and working on those systems, you'll find that Simplex and Edwards cause a lot of headaches. They're cool systems though, no doubt.

      @@Twentythree33 The systems I would be getting would be a Simplex 4004 and an EST3

    • @Twentythree33
      @Twentythree33  หลายเดือนก่อน

      EST3s are proprietary so you won't be able to do anything with them. The QuickStart is able to be programmed with publicly available software and has most of the EST3's features, so I'd recommend getting one instead.
