Hey man, thanks for this video! You have a new subscriber! :D I didn't even know there were kits out there like Simplistic garage's throttle body kit. Joe, did you enlarge the throat to 75mm on the Plenum? Otherwise it will act as a restriction. What I did was to reshape all the lower plenum horns, widen the nostrils, the 6 down tubes, plenum entrance, and throttle body. I removed plenty of material almost the same as installing a thin plenum spacer. I also follow it up with polishing. Old School, we call it Porting and Polishing. Definitely a seat of the pants improvement. Lots of work well worth it.
The adapter that comes with the kit tapers from 75 to 70 so it doesn’t act as a restriction! I want to do that myself, it would definitely be rewarding to feel the butt dyno improvement haha
@@TheAsheryl My thought is the narrowest part now becomes the restriction. You can have a 80mm throttle body but the throat afterwards is only 65mm, that becomes the restriction point. In a NA Engine preferably you would want an even width throughout without any reducers. I reshaped the plunum throat to ensure that was not a restriction point. You don't want to remove too much material as it can weaken the throat area to the point of failure.

thanks man i appreciate it! an actual dyno tune will be from 500-800 depending on shop and where you live but i HIGHLY recommend doing one, they make sure your car is running safe while gaining extra power from your mods! im not entirely sure how safe the chip you bought is but id be very cautious! also make sure the shop you take it to has a good reputation!
So the 2 ports are in the way of installing it so cutting it the easiest but they’re just pressed in so if you want you could just press them out! Since it’s an oem throttle body for a newer maxima it’s just not made for g35’s. If you want to save the most amount of money this is the best way to go, but there are other kits that remove them so you don’t have to!

That harness is the new one that came with the kit?
Yes!!
@@JoeVazquez do you suggest to get a throttle body kit with a plenum spacer, I’m starting to build my g35 ( sedan ) I just updated my exhaust system. Also I just seen the prices between z1 and CZP and CZP is better priced. But I don’t have the tool to cut those coolants off.
Yeah I’d definitely recommend bro!
I’d honestly buy the cut off wheel at harbor freight for like 20 bucks and now you have a tool you didn’t before!
@@JoeVazquez the tool you used to cut off the coolants off it’s called cut off wheel? Do any auto parts sell em?. I was thinking about ordering the plenum spacer, the throttle body kit, and the air intake.
Hey bro did u cut both of the ports off or just one
Just one
@@JoeVazquez thanks fam
That ebay link doesn't work anymore. Any links for an adapter kit anyone? I can't seem to find one. Thanks
I got you cutie! www.ebay.com/itm/174744187481
@@JoeVazquez it's gone again 🥲
I got you too cutie www.ebay.com/itm/174857056533
Thx. Great video. I ordered one today.
Hell yeah and no problem! 🙏
Have u had any issues with it? Limp mode or lights popping on?
No lights it’ll run just fine, Just make sure to torque to 75 INCH pounds and you’ll be fine!
@@JoeVazquez . Ok. Thanks. Think about subscribing to my channel too. Keep in touch
Let me know how it goes brotha, excited to hear from you!
can i use this throttle body with the stock intake air box?
Yes!
@@JoeVazquez would it work if I purchased a used hitachi throttle body and just buy the adapter kit for it?
Yes!
What a coincidence I just thought about buying this next weekend
Now you can get while saving money or can buy another mod!
Same
@@g37bk let’s goooo
@@JoeVazquez so I would have to order both the concept z and from simplistic garage
Yes you would order them separately so you save the most money!
Is that vq35de?
Yes! Non revup!
@@JoeVazquez yessah!
Nice video. I have a 3 in intake on my 2010 maxima and I've only got a little $100 performance chip. How much would i be spending to get an actual tune on my car. Ive also put a whole new exhaust on the car from the headers back .
thanks man i appreciate it! an actual dyno tune will be from 500-800 depending on shop and where you live but i HIGHLY recommend doing one, they make sure your car is running safe while gaining extra power from your mods! im not entirely sure how safe the chip you bought is but id be very cautious! also make sure the shop you take it to has a good reputation!
Been looking at this mod for sometime now. Thanks for the insight bro. Any alternatives to cutting those coolant lines?
You can bend them, or even remove them. They are pressed in so if you can get them to twist back and forth you can work them out.
Austin is right! I couldn’t get them to twist since I’m a weakling but they’re pressed in so you don’t have to cut them if you really don’t want to!
@@sgmachine do you plug them once they are removed or does it not matter?
@@SalVillegas42097 it doesn't matter either way. Most just leave them open.
Why did u cut it?
Well when you get the cheap stuff you end up having to cut something lol well it’s not cheap but poorly designed.
With the expensive option you have to grind down a nut or it will hit the hood.
The eBay simplistic garage link is no longer active 😮💨
Quick google search should get you to them!!
What intake do u have?
Nismo!!
Will this fit on the i35?!
Great question! I’m not familiar with the i35 chassis but if assuming the wiring is the same and you have the space for it I don’t see why it wouldn’t work!
@@JoeVazquez I'm thinking 🤔 it should cause it's also a vq35 de motor as well

You’re the best 😭
After you cut the coolant lines, do you need to do anything to them? Like fill them or anything like that?
When you cut off the coolant port, did you have to plug it (due to vacuum leak)? or do the ports not cause a vacuum leak
You can’t have a vacuum leak on a coolant port
@@JoeVazquez yeah I thought about it after I commented, that was a dumb question LOL thank you
Is the idle when the car is warm supposed to be 650?
Yes +/- 50 rpm difference
@@JoeVazquez so if it idle like that, but steering wheel and seat vibrates should I be concerned?
Any check engine light issues?
No!
Did you cut off both coolant lines or just the closest hitting the plenum ?
You don’t need them so you can just cut both but you only need to cut the one closet to plenum!
@@JoeVazquez I placed my order already and I'm going exactly with this exact setup thanks bro
