@@ivanronin8209 what is Lucid, some kind of shoe shine paste? Got it! Up to yesterday they reared Camels and today stun the world with an high Tech marvel ? How unlikely. Which only a true Genius so far has shown how it can be done. But that is another story, the only one worth mentioning, probably for decennials, while Tesla is becoming stratospheric, untouchable, under every single parameter of comparison, bar none. While the rest are looking on, still confused and stunned, unable to understand what it takes and how it is done. But you will never understand unless you own and drive a Tesla, an obedient AI software imprint on wheel, safer than your own house, and crazyly fast, that in no time you will fall in long lasting love with. Hard story to portray, that only a personal experience can reveal the true depth. I loved cars for 85 years, had many from every continent and Nation. The cream of the cream were made by the Japanese. My last was a '99 Honda Accord "R" Vtec. But when I drove the Tesla model 3 performance just shocked me, couldn't enjoy the Honda no more. A new automobile era has began powered by Elon Musk magic Oil from the Sun. It doesn't stain, smell, or weigh anything, and it is free for all, just gather what you need. While Porsche and all others had been, shine bonnets and print daisies on them, a sure sign of despair.

I never thought that Porsche would be making sedans, much less electrics! Porsche is evolving, maybe a little slower than others, but clearly they're playing the "long game." They're an example of excellence in German engineering.
I am not sure I would say they are evolving slowly. They are well in the electric game. The taycan surpases a tesla with regards to build quality and finish.
@@Persason Really? Build quality and finish? Plus 100.000 more, not as safe and a lot slower to Plaid S. Get your facts straight and then get back to me, and while you are at it ask Porsche for OTA upgrades ans services for free, and they are going to tell you to go and fly a kite.
@@sat7755 Oh yes the Porche is a bit more expensive but it is also a far more premium car? I never claimed it was cheaper. I dont compare the price of a chevy with a mercedes either.
Either you are biased or haven't driven both cars if you claim the porche isn't better build quality wise... All reviewers even agree that the porche is a far more premium car. Build quality wise Tesla is currently behind the german automakers, which is what is holding it a bit back. It is catching up quickly though. The initial model s and 3 cars were kinda garbage while the newer models are much better, but there is still a long way.
With regards to safety both are 5 star euro-ncap rated.
And who gives a crap about speed when both make 0-100 sub 5 seconds? No one gives a crap if its 1.99 or 2.6 or whatever the figures are....

What a cutting edge modern automotive factory! Porsche is really doing excellently; and due to the solid physics, engineering, and attention to comfort and detail that has distinguished the history of the Porsche firm, it is solidly placed to make needed innovations in car science that are needed to improve safety, performance, and efficiency. Although Porsche, which seems to be on the cutting edge of advancing integrated cars with physics-superior central rear engine placement, eventually as scientific tests are done and it all shakes out, it will become apparent how important this set of innovations are even if only the factor of environmental efficiency were considered(it wastes a lot of energy to operate untold millions of cars in physics-inferior ways;) and Porsche will start collaborating with some other company that offers more of a people's car; and then we will the best product and the popularly available product ready for manufacture, market, and the improvement of human lives.

In my opinion, the production of classy sports cars made in Europe, such as Germany and Italy, apart from the cooler design and stronger quality, is incomparable with car production from anywhere else Any country in the world. From one of the sports car observers in Indonesia 🇮🇩
High end Japanese sports cars are built in similar if not higher built quality because they are built by few very experienced and capable takumis. Examples like lc500, lfa, and gtr

I had one of those horrible contraptions too. It kept stalling at high speed, they never did found out why. So I got a Toyota MR2 and now a Tesla. I never understood Porsche rave. But Tesla belongs to another civilization, and the Smart Germans are lining up for them.

I wanna know how they get all those machines to work in concert like that, so precisely. If any one of them is off just a little bit, you can have a big problem... Knowing how computer programs can mess up, or you can have an electrical outage of even a half second or second or two, that's concerning to me....

The Porsche factory is certainly top notch. However, the new Mercedes fabrik 56 and BMWs Dingolfing plant should be more advanced now and can do electric and combustion vehicles on one assembly line.

There is a 2020 Taycan for sale here in the UK that 4 months ago had the battery pack replaced under warranty. The total cost was £55000. The asking price for the car is £56995. 1 owner and 54000 miles (Porsche Taycan Performance Plus 93.4kWh 4S).

Driving performance is good, however too many errors include bluetooth connections and heater in winter season. Service center is even worse that driver should wait for more than 2 months while heater broken!!! in freezing winter. Can you imagine?? This is so true. I am Taycan owner and getting sick of it. Selling isn't the best way but service. No one listen now but they will face into some trouble sooner or later indeed.
