I really love these type of episodes. Porsche worth every penny . The technology is awesome here . I watched the video & didn't know about the 48min long
The robots that move and attach huge parts and the ones that apply the paint move so smoothly and in so many directions. It looks like a futuristic fantasy movie.
It’s no wonder that this incredible car costs so much, because no expense was spared in this incredible three story factory. Imagine how much money they could’ve saved without those elevators and spinning robots? It is really incredible to watch, German engineering at it’s finest!
Porsche - an innovation and engineering juggernaut; the attention to detail - particularly when the assembly line workers inspect the paint; Porsche employees can't use particular hygiene products because of the interaction with the applied paints ... interesting. Also, the tight tolerances throughout the assembly processes is something that Tesla hasn't mastered to date.

No quality control issues here. It's simply what makes a Porsche what it is. Attention to detail. Like the commercial says here in the US, "finally an ev worth chasing".
I went to test drive this last Saturday, it's dead vault quiet. From zero it launches like an airplane. Stunning design. I query 3 things: the tight back doors, the slanting roof makes it uncomfortable for back seaters. Also, I'm disappointed with the audio quality. Instead of bose, bemeaster should have been used in my opinion. Overall, it's a wonderful piece of engineering.
Been watching how cars are made in their factories since I was 15, like 12 years now, and still haven’t watch a complete one, one that shows further than just assembly, I always want to see how the gears for gearbox are made, how the plastics parts are given form, how headlights and taillights are made, the how the infotainment system is setup and designed, how wiring it’s actually made not just thrown in the car, I’m willing to spent 2 or three hours of watching that much detail. I liked this one, mainly because is the first one I see of the TayCan, but still not 100% satisfied.
All of that happens at suppliers. That's where the real engineering is done for all the parts that go together to make a car. I work for a tier 1 automotive supplier in metro Detroit.
24:05 they forgot the power inverter. This is the box they call commutator 😅 the motor will not run fine if you supply DC to the motor. You also could not control the rotor movement without power electronics.
Been part of a group of mechanics that build the assembly line for the Taycan underbody (unterboden Karosse) in Mühlacker back in 2017/2018, when it was the only production line for that car's underbody.
Love your work. Personally, I think the Taycan is the most beautiful Porcshe because it looked like a balanced shape of the 911. Only it doesn't come with a flat 6😅
Wow! @14:30 "even a lipstick can lead to paint failure so all the substances that the employees use on their bodies are tested accordingly" Astonishing details!

great job on the documentary, it's really nice to see the behind-the-scenes of such an iconic brand. but honestly, while the Taycan Turbo S looks amazing and performs well, i can't help but feel that it misses the mark on the driving experience that true Porsche enthusiasts crave. it's almost like they're focusing too much on tech and not enough on that classic feel. what do you all think?
Painful to constantly hear the family name Porsche (2 syllables) mispronounced. Otherwise it is great to see how far Porsche (say, "Por-shah") has come since the 4 cam air-cooled days. Amazing car!

Superb engineering. KUKA robots (originally German company - now Chinese owned) as well as ABB (Sweden). KUKA used by most German auto manufacturers..VW has about 5 000 robots in its Wolfsburg plant..Colossal

great video, really loved the inside look at the Porsche factory! but honestly, i think the Taycan Turbo S is overrated compared to other EVs. while it's impressive, some rival brands seem to offer better value for similar performance. just my two cents!
