Come on Dougo, don't be too hard on the kid, that was just a "little" fun. Back in the day we had way much more destructive fun but as we get older we also get wiser....... Great video.......👍
I planted my last half section field in Grain Sorghum June 11 after 3/4" rain over the weekend. Here in the real north part of Texas. We had less than 2" since January first. Extreme drought is bad but too much is not good!
Talking about your water flow. Everything north of Browns Valley flows north into Canada and everything south of Browns Valley flows south. Browns Valley is like a dividing line for the water flow.
Wow, the amount of rain you all having been dealing with, just wow ! I keep watching the radar near you guys is mind blowing, hoping y'all wont need to replant , when I see all the lakes in your fields . Dougo you should have a new line of merchandise, The Struggles of rain .
It’s cool you guys take the weekends off unless it’s planting or harvest or whatever, but it’s cool you take the time off one the weekends when things aren’t crazy. The farm I worked in we didn’t get weekends off unless we asked for a day of the weekend.
Thanks Doug for showing the Artichoke lake. I thought your land was draining to the north into the Red River that flows thru Fargo, ND. Your soils seems to be the same as the Red River gumbo in Manitoba. Back in the 50th, many a times had to put the horses in front of the milk truck(with a dozen milk cans on it) during and after rains.
Your perseverance in the face of challenges is truly inspiring. Episode after episode, you showcase resilience and creativity. Keep pushing boundaries and setting new standards. Your dedication is commendable. And I Am Floating Village Life
Dougo, We border Lake Texoma, between Texas and Okla. It is the Red River which is impounded. With our rains the lake level is rising quickly and with higher wind speeds our lake churns into the Gulf of Texoma with 4 to 6 ft rollers.
We live on the Ohio River. N All ours goes to The Mississippi also. N wen she can't handle anymore well you know!! And when she at her breaking point its not a as you know!! Not pleasant. Love youall. N God Bless.! Amy too!!❤🎉😅
Used the super-sacs all the time 6 days a week with never a fail. They are amazing. They were filled in the U.K then shipped by seatainer to us in Oakville.
Well, I reckon this is one of the reasons y'all are called the "Land of 10,000 Lakes" if y'all get much more water Minnesota will be designated as an ocean, The Minnesota Ocean is located between the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans, just a little history lessons for those that didn't know this fact...you guys be careful out there and don't get wet...love the show by the way.
Thanks for another great video Chet and crew. It was interesting and informative and entertaining to watch. Getting ready for black beans. Chet the way you figured how many black bean seeds you needed sounded a bit complicated. Sometime if you can go through that a bit slower. Don’t quite understand how you did that. I know black beans is a good crop production profit but seems they are a lot of extra work handling the black beans and planting and harvesting. Interesting watching your operation doing the black beans!!!!!! Hope the ground is dry enough that you can plant them tomorrow. Hang in there. Nice to get the new planter and the lease tractor all cleaned out of fertilizer and ready for winter storage. Assume the lease tractor will go back to the dealer. Was a nice tractor. Hopefully the rain is going to let up soon so you can finish planting black beans. Go get em. !!!!!!!!! Your tile lines are running full and fast by your video. Thanks to Dougo for explaining how the water flows and where it goes. Jordon and Brody keep busy making sure the pumps are working properly. Nice work guys. Lots of water flowing. Chet don’t spin the tires on dougo’s freshly levered drive way. You are getting in trouble-ha!!!!!!!! About it I guess. You all take care and be safe. Thanks for everything. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Didn't realize that there was a Pomme De Terre river in MN. I grew up near Pomme De Terre river & Pomme De Terre Lake here in Missouri. I was also baptized in the Pomme De Terre River.
Wish they had a time stamp on videos. Anyway the Mississippi is cresting today on the east side of Minnesota.. It never went up this spring, which is weird. Different year
Cheat I can say you’re a lucky kid to have what you do .. with your parents and your friends man .. I’d cherish that I’m not so lucky but I’ve been watching since 2015

Your turtle beans are from my part of the country. Glad to see you using Idaho beans.
I used to help with seed potato virus testing in montana before the seed could be exported to the farmers in idaho

Minnesota finally has a good water table with enough rainfall. Great to see you so possitive with everything. Should try sweetcorn next year

I love it when you plant something that I eat and enjoy.
What do they plant that you eat?

Good stuff guys
Just Dougos luck, the kid that wanted to farm is his antagonist.

Thats the way it should be 😂
I want a black hat like dougo very cool
Thanks for the update 😊
As you pointed out all the outfalls are maxed out. Going to take a bit and then some for sure.
Our family farm is in southwest Iowa!
You should be writing a comic book with the evil villain being the Menace Rain and the hero being Super Dougo and his Trusty Sidekick Brody!!!!
Dougo how many years ago did you fill the planter with 50# bags Chet has it easy with those huge bags
Awesome 😎
Hope you all got.all your seeds in ok. Be safe.

Bologna sandwich? What brand, what bread, and what additional items do you prefer on your sandwich?
God bless.

Takin' care of business

That rain you have received this Spring is more than are 8 inches is are annual rain fall. We have to earagate all are farm ground.
Chet, you know better than what ya done, but you done it anyway. Dougo had to back up and fix them ruts you made lol. G-d bless.
The poor 9rx just gets to be the elephant of the fleet 😂.
Chet, try cutting one of them bulk bags with a sharp knife youll figure out why they can hols 2500lbs.
, Thistles thrive in compacted soils.
The way that they drive the vehicles now I know why everything breaks down so often on your farm.
Sod corn plant grass. Can you imagine the amount of bales.
Chene waders are pricey but the best!!
And I’m not even saying that cause my last name is Cheney!!🤷♂️
We put a 90 on are fertilizer hose where it’s not in that position, it’s works better.

Dougo! You need to buy a surf board for your lake!
Dougo, any thoughts on hooking up your planter to the pontoon boat? Best of Luck.
