I'm a Home Fry through & through, but I have to admit, the Bass Gang have made the video of the Year with Gaston. Home Free's Skull & Bones is my 2nd favorite now.
Watching that last approach to the camera before they spell "Gaston" it suddenly hit me that both Bobby (6' +) and Tomi (6"7") are considerably taller than Peter (5'9"). They must have been practically knee-walking to avoid being taller than Gaston (which would never do!).
This one was super fun to watch. They're doing a really good job of getting Marwan into the videos. I was also a really looking forward to Peter's video because I had hoped he would work a little more of his operatic training into it than he normally does with these. I was NOT disappointed, either. You can hear the operatic quality to most of his singing in this one and it's awesome. The comedy here was gold! I was cracking up the first time I watched it as well. Yes, you do want to watch Peter's analysis of it as well. You'll find he answers most of your questions in it, and adds some really cool context and details about it also. :)
If you haven't done so already, you may want to watch Peter's analysis of this. He gives a great deal of background information. For example, the sword he was holding there at the end was a replica of Aragorn's sword from "Lord of the Rings". I found this cover of Gaston just absolutely delightful. It was fun and the vocals were just so good!
Aragorn´s sword Andúril most people got right away. But the sword Tomi P is carrying behind Gaston didn´t get revealed by Peter so some will miss it. It´s Zireael, Ciri´s blade from The Witcher 3.
I must admit Peter makes Gaston actually attractive. I couldn't stomach the original for all the traditional good look he had. I am so glad it tickle you this much. Bobbie is really good at comedy. I don't think he has been able to shine in this department before.
Unfortunately, there's not much room in the traditionally bass repertoire for comedy (I agree with Mortius's comment from Voctave's Heroes and Villains medley that more hero songs should be written for basses, not just tenors). But over on his solo channel, Bobby has a cover of "You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch" which is pretty humorous.
Over the last year, I have added the Bass Gang to my "Top 3" list -- now the "Top 4" ! The extra energy they've garnered by being together is palatable. Looking forward to seeing how they bring "Friend like me" to the screen! Bobby will have his turn at the magic.
I don’t know which I enjoyed more, the outstanding vocals or the absolutely hysterical acting. This must have been so much fun. I haven’t watched the analysis by Peter yet because I wanted to wait until more reactors reacted to it so I could be surprised when Peter reveals all the little secrets. 🤫
I watched this on a dreary Monday morning in Canberra, Australia. Your side-splitting gleeful laughter was absolute sunshine and it made me love the Bass Gang's video even more. My son keeps requesting it too, which is awesome.
The sword that Peter had in the end was a replica of Aragorn's sword from the Lord of the Rings. It was hanging in the restaurant, so he just took it for the shoot ^^
Later today Bass Gang drops Friend Like Me. Peter was thrilled getting to use the replica of Aragorn's sword. I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction and LAUGHTER which was delightful!
No one "Gastons" like Peter! Peter said he and Bobby actually planned for a "near kiss" moment but decided against it. I really WISH they had done it, hahaha. Hey, some of us ship these two. This whole thing was comedy genius. I'm glad they added Marwan ala "Harry Potter." Peter ending with Anduril, the same sword as his tattoo, was PERFECT.
Definitely the most fun production by The Bass Gang! No one makes fun like Gaston and the Guys!

Sorry for the spelling glitches. ADHD gets my brain rolling so fast I tend to miss the plurals and am onto the next word.

@@leekestner1554Just do like I do and blame auto correct! But don’t try dictation. I believe they think I’m speaking a foreign language!😂
“Everything is breaking, including my brain.” -Mortius, 2023
Can’t remember who said it, but this was their biggest recording professional style. It was at a real tavern in the Czech Republic
Love your laugh Mortius. Peter using his operatic voice is fantastic.I loved this video and I did laugh butt off too. Great reaction as usual :)

All, if you haven't already, please treat yourself to Peter's reaction. He goes so deep into the behind the scenes, it's great.
Yes, so much this. And the coming documentary about these videos!
Watching this reaction video was painful… LITERALLY! I just had surgery and you had me laughing so hard it hurt. But it was worth every bit of it!

Hello Mortius. So glad to see you enjoying such a great week on TH-cam. What riches!
I'm not sure when I laughed more - watching the Bass Gang's release or watching your reaction to it. So much fun!

Most fun Bass Gang song!
Never laughed this hard? I refer you to *that* Geoff moment in Voiceplay's cover of We Don't Talk About Bruno... 😉
That's why I made the title "This much" instead of "this hard" :D
Wait until the latest work from the Bass Gang comes out: Friend Like Me
By Bobby!
The sword that Peter had in the end was a replica of Aragorn's sword from the Lord of the Rings. It was hanging in the restaurant, so he just took it for the shoot ^^
This is so fun watching your reactions to these songs. I learned about alot of the background this viewing.
This video cracks me up. Now listening to Mortius laughing, I am laughing so hard, I am crying and can't type. Thanks for the great reaction/analysis.
Loved your reaction 😂
Wait, is he holding Aragorn's sword Anduril at 12.26?
Not only did the video make me smile, you made me smile. Thank you!
