I have the ATEM and Intensity shuttle that i want to use to stream using OBS.I add intensity shuttle as a source on OBS but i however get the whole interface showing the different cameras,program and preview.How do i set OBS to stream what appears like the MASTER on ATEM i.e the final program

Hi Sir, I am a bit confuse that which BMD Switcher I should go for between BMD Studio HD Pro And BMD Studio pro 4k.I have just started my new set up and heard about the both the awesome mixers...Apart from 4K res what other main benefits the 4K version have as compare to the BMD Pro HD.? .Pls suggest me
A major benefit to the 4k version, aside from the expanded res support, is that each input has up/down converters built in. All previous switchers by Blackmagic required you to pick a program resolution and have your sources match. This allows you greater flexibility when connecting sources.

Great video. How do you get the audio from a audio console used for live mixing into the virtual console in the software?
I really like this product but the audio in is one issue I need to figure out before I consider buying this.
You have a couple options. You can embed the audio onto one of your video sources or you can use the XLR audio inputs on the back of each unit. I send my audio from my mixer into my Blackmagic Studio Camera. Its then embedded onto my SDI output and goes directly into the switcher with the video. The ATEM Software control then allows you to mix these audio signals.
Question. I'm not sure if you answered this already but what are you recording your footage to? Are recording directly to yout Mac or the HyperDeck or other? Thanks in advance!
I generally record to Blackmagic Hyperdecks. They can also be triggered using the ATEM software control
Can we also be able to control the exposure, iris, zooming etc on other camera brands other than blackmagic connected to the blackmagic switcher?
Thanks for this very thorough video! Can you tell me how the fan noise is on the ATEM Television Studio PRO HD as compared to older ATEM rack-mounted switchers? It seems to be a common complaint that the fan noise on rack-mounted models has been enough to prevent producers from being able to use the switcher in the same room as the production, but as far as I can tell from your video, these are pretty darn quiet (unless you did some tricky ADR and foley work in post). :) Thanks!
No magic in post...these units are very quiet. I was recently using the ATEM TV Studio Pro 4k for a show and was set up within feet of the talent. It was no problem! The HD units are the same.
I'm only 2 years late, but my PRO HD is completely silent.
Hi there. Great Video. I use Wirecast and a Mac Laptop. I have two cameras going through BM Ultra Mini Recorders. With those and my ethernet, the Mac is short on power supply. If I get this, essentially I will only have 1 Source going into my Mac as well as 1 source into Wirecast. I should be eliminating power struggles for Mac, yes? Last question, would the ethernet port give my mac wired internet?

The ATEMs don't support internal recording. You would have to output to a Blackmagic hyperdeck.

Hello, can I assign to each OUTPUTS the signal corresponding to the INPUT signal? Basically, can I send the signal from camera 1 to output 1, camera 2 to output 2 ... camera 8 to output 8?

in your opinion, do you really need the computer with the ATEM Television Studio HD?
If I was going to run a live production using the ATEM Television Studio HD, I would definitely use the ATEM Software Control. It's not necessary, but if you want easy access to all of your settings, as well as the media pool, audio mixer, and camera control, using the software is the way to go.

You can definitely stream to multiple locations at once, but the ATEM TV Studio Switchers don't have any streaming capabilities so you would have to use other hardware/software to do so. These switchers also don't support any IP video sources. Thanks for watching!
its possible to put 3 images in the same screen as in news?
I saw a review that mentioned the fact that none of the color correction works with anything other than blackmagic equipment. Is this true? Also does that go for the chroma-keying as well, as that is a very important aspect of this particular switcher for me.
This is correct that the color correction only works for BMD cameras, but this is not the case for chroma keying.

Hi, what is the best way to add a logo which permanently appears on the program for broadcasting without using one of the downstream keys that I need them for the lower thirds.
Unfortunately, to have a logo or bug on the screen for the duration of your program, you will have to use one of your downstream keys. However, you can find some very affordable dedicated graphics systems that you can use to resolve this problem. Check out the video we made for the Lumantek ez-DSK.
Joe D - Does the Aux out allow viewing of any source in the switcher independent of the Program out and can it also output Program, switching back and forth smoothly.
The aux allows you to output all of your video sources, your media players, a clean feed, your program, or a preview source.

I have 5 cameras set to 1080p and they show on the multiview. My 2 computers are set to 1920x1080. However, the computers show on the multiview at that resolution only when the atem tvs hd is set to 1080i. How can I get them all to work together at 1080p?
These switchers require all of your sources to input at identical resolutions and frame rates. I would suggest either changing all your cameras to 1080i or converting your computer sources to 1080p. Blackmagic makes an UpDownCross HD Mini converter that should solve your problems.
Does it have any built in stingers?
how do I reset the switcher, because the multiview display in my switcher is missing, there are eight frame boxes, and 2 preview boxes and PGM but there is no image display from each camera input

Do you mean the program? There is an SDI program output and you can output the program using the SDI aux output as well.
Yes, program output.so, I can use the program and aux to get the same output at the same time or is it best to achieve this using a splitter (using 2 video projectors for a long room). Thanks!

I have the atem pro 4K and 2 black magic cameras. trying to work out why the preview and program (green & red) lights are the same on both cameras. On the desk it’s fine and separated but the send to the cameras is making them match each other. Both either red or both either green. Can anyone help?

Is there a way to make a series of Macros and access them from the Control surface if so how and would you do a TH-cam video on it?
Macros are actually the only thing I didn't really cover in this video, but they are incredibly powerful and vital to running a live production. The Pro HD and the Pro 4k control surfaces have a bank of buttons that can be used to access your macros during a production. They are located right above the program sources. Look out for a new video covering the ATEM Mini in the upcoming weeks. I will definitely go in depth on macros!

Help! Blackmagic Design ATEM Television Studio Pro ! multi view does not work!( that is, works partially!) shows markup red and green square switching between input channels also toggles, but there is no video itself ! that is, on the screen of the remote shows and sends a signal to the screen and sends AUX, everything works as it should, but multi view VIDOS does not send! what could be? who faced??? and still sometimes shows pink color reboot helps return black window!

Yes you can change it in the settings menu.
Is the camera controls at the surface only for Atem cameras or can I use them for any camera ?
You can only control Blackmagic Design URSA Minis and studio cameras.

Superb mixer for the money, but a shame that such a large area of the panel is used by lots of crappy 1990's transitions/effects. I just want cut, or if live sport, fast fade.

You can't input directly into a computer with the Pro. You'll need one of these.

Yes, but you'll need a separate encoder to get the SDI or HDMI video signal into the computer. Blackmagic makes the Ultrastudio Recorder 3G that should work just fine
How do you set default settings so that everytime you boot the device up it doesn't reset settings such as transition timings and fade to black?
In the top menu of the ATEM Software Control, you can "save startup state". You can also save XML files with different configurations as well if you have multiple productions.

Yes, you can use most cameras that output HDMI or SDI signals. You just wouldn't be able to access the camera control features and color correction.

To access the ATEM software control application you must connect the switcher to a PC or Mac....but most of the settings can also be accessed on the LCD display

For text and full screen images, you need to use the downstream keyer. Your media pool can be populated using the ATEM Software Control. The ATEM TV Studio Pro 4k can support motion graphics.
