Your songs give me that sinking feeling in my stomach and chills through my skin. I want to explode because there's just so much confused joy/melancholic emotion inside that wants out.
craigd19 I can see why its your favorite. I learned to play to relax myself. This song would be sooo nice to play. I bet it feels great on the fingers. It's got those pull offs at the end of some of the measures that release tension and let you take your time without having to slow tempo. I don't learn covers but I think I'll give this one a shot. The first thing I thought when I heard your music was this sounds like stuff I come up with - albeit much more skillful and technical. Thanks for doing what you do. You inspire me every time I listen.
Serious props to Craig for playing nearly his whole new album for our viewing pleasure. Thank you Craig and rpoland! And please whoever likes this man's music, buy his new album, you won't be disappointed.
Wish you could come back to New England area. Saw you live at Lewiston Maine about 3-5 years ago when you only had your original album. Saw you Don and Andy... What a show I was sitting in the front row and about 10 feet from the most amazing acoustic guitar playing the world has to offer..... That is something you wont ever forget thank you. PS your new stuff is Amazing!!!
I live in New Hampshire!! Thank you sooo Much man.I Wont ever forget when you walked into the show that night in Lewstion ME. and I shook your hand and it was on of the coolest moments in my life. I am amazed at how cool you and andy and don are. I hope you plan to do something in NE. Let me no thank you buddy.
i'd not listened to your music in a while, i had forgotten how truly wonderful and mesmerizing it was. i do know a couple of your songs but i could never play as well as you :)
Wonderfully done. I especially enjoyed the bridge section. A busy song for the most part...lots of "let's keep this left hand constantly doing something"...can't wait to hear your next tune. :D
You love to use a lot of open tunings and open strings don't you?To me you are the best Candy rat artist out there.Your tunes are very melodious and easy to listen.I love the way you keep it simple(No fancy tricks). The melody is the priority in music and you've got your priorities right. Thanks for the lovely music.
Haha I'm doing the same, and going through all his old songs that I've listened to thousands of times. This one and In With the Purple will always be my favourites I think
Oh yeah? That's awesome! I wish I could learn it somehow but it being a 7-string makes it a challenge haha Of course, thank YOU Craig! I've always been a huge Don Ross/Andy McKee/Tommy Emmanuel fan, but there's something special about your songs, I've learned about 4 of them :) Love your music, please keep writing more :)
What is the scale difference between the first and the seventh strings ? And what is the proper scale of the first string? Have you need an adaptation to be able to play as well as a regular guitar on this multi-scale guitar ? Thanks! And By the way , I really love this song and your playing in general. You're amazing !!!!
Man, you're fantastic!! I've gotta ask though, what type of guitar is that? She looks and sounds similar to a greenfield, and I love that rich sound as well as the fanned frets!
Thanks! There are lots of builders making fan fret guitars. not too many 7 strings out there though. the one in the video is from Marc Beneteau. google him
Are the frets on that guitar as wonky as they appear? on video? I'd love to know more about the intonation theory of that setup. What kind of guitar is this?
@meangreen4321 its a fanned fret model , different scale lengths for each string, so like a piano the higher strings have a smaller scale length giving better intonation all the way across the fretboard. lowden and alot of good luthiers are starting to make them now, hope this helps
This is incredible. It sounds like you emulated rylynn by Andy McKee and your song falling for twelves just in a different key. I don't know if you did that for that reason but I just want to thank for this perfect song! -Mark
"No, I don't have tabs. Why? You probably don't own a seven string guitar." haha! That made me laugh! x) But you're right Craig..I don't own a seven string guitar :(
when you are playing a regular tuned seventh string guitar. The bass string is B or H if you prefere :).. So you get a sh..load of new ways to improve your bassline when playing ! cheers.
Your songs give me that sinking feeling in my stomach and chills through my skin. I want to explode because there's just so much confused joy/melancholic emotion inside that wants out.
this is my favorite if anyone cares. Love to play it and actually enjoy listening back every so often.
Thanks for the support Melissa!

This instrument is heavenly
I only discovered this music very lately, since then it's on my playlist most of the time... Craig you're the man!
Please stop using that instrument.. now we all have to buy a 7-string just to play this song, you're not making it easy for us here.

My favorite thing by Craig D'Andrea! Thank you! (but this moving camera again... static would be much more better)
Man, you're fantastic!! I've gotta ask though, what type of guitar is that? She looks and sounds similar to a greenfield, and I love that rich sound as well as the fanned frets!
Adorável!! Lindo som!
Thanks! There are lots of builders making fan fret guitars. not too many 7 strings out there though. the one in the video is from Marc Beneteau. google him
I am curious of the model and brand - it has the fanned fret system which I have been looking for.
Looks like DAEGDE That would be tuning the B string UP to D, btw. I used to write ideas on that blackboard.
wonderful
Beautiful!! The song is pretty good too bro ;) heheh
From 0:44 to 0:49 , it is out of this world *_*
Love it

Thanks! This is a guitar built by Marc Beneteau. Very nice instruments.
It's that an opening tunning on that blackboard?
Weird but cool sound :D !
i have always thought this song sounds like a conversation.. i dont know if that has anything to do with the name though
i own a seven string guitar. can you please tell me the tuning?
arg nice sound
The action on that guitar might be a bit too low. I hear the strings rattling against the fret board
Roguedome A Thats desirable to some people. Not when it's overwhelming but I like a little buzz.
"No, I don't have tabs. Why? You probably don't own a seven string guitar." haha! That made me laugh! x) But you're right Craig..I don't own a seven string guitar :(
what's strings you used sir?!
whats the tune for this??
Craig why would you want to sell such a beautiful guitar? You make that guitar sing. Although.... I would give my left arm to own it
good song )
when you are playing a regular tuned seventh string guitar. The bass string is B or H if you prefere :).. So you get a sh..load of new ways to improve your bassline when playing ! cheers.
Thanks Kyle!
:L I like how you put different variations of your name in the tags :P
Hey Craig where's the tunning plaese?
@meangreen4321 Its a Beneteau
Scale lengths are treble: 25.5 bass: 28". I didn't need any work to adapt to the scale...just the seventh string. Thanks!
Thanks! I will be in Wales in March. Check my website for details.
If you are serious and want to buy...let me know. I may want to sell it. It will be expensive.
Me waiting for a Craig De'Andrea comeback😭
That makes two of us
NO! WINDOW STAYS OPEN!
