Mr Ramirez, this new style of presentation you've come up with, adds a great deal of enjoyment to your videos in my opinion. I'm referring to the fact that, at certain points, you cut away from the screen display to address the camera in person. This is a huge improvement to content that was already excellent. Addressing the camera personally adds gravity to the point you are making. You don't over-do it. It's done for just that reason I believe, and it works really effectively. Well done. To answer your question about which of your videos lead me to your channel: It was the 'layer modes explained'. It was something that I knew I needed and no one else (at the time) did much of a job explaining it. It's a downside of TH-cam that people who think they are knowledgable, can pass on their (possibly) incorrect ideas, or demonstrate their lack of knowledge depth. And this was the case with this topic. I still have your layers videos bookmarked. I treat them like reference manuals on a bookshelf, and refer back to them when I'm sketchy. They are invaluable to me.
The first of your videos I saw was your fantastic lesson about blending modes, and I became addicted since then. I'm using PS since 1989 when it was Aldus Darkroom, and you are one of the best PS tutors ever!
Wow, I never heard of Aldus Darkroom, but do remember using Aldus Pagemaker. I finally got the concept of layers by version 5. We've come a long way, Harry!

Thanks PTC. First video I watched is called "Color Correction and Color Matching Using Curves." I shoot indoors inside churches a lot and between candles, incandescent, natural light, etc., white balance varies by the second. This helped me to rescue several of those as well as to get a more precise, natural white balance for landscapes.

This video just made a HUGE improvement to one of my images, but in a way you might not expect. It's a night image of the city of Albany NY with reflections in the Hudson River. Unfortunately, the water surface is covered with floating material (leaves & twigs appropriate to the season) that I was trying to remove with the spot removal tool. This was not working well until I switched the tool to 'lighten' mode; this worked perfectly! Thank you!!!!
This is an old video, but I just wanted to say thank you for this! I was about to send off a few portraits for outsourcing to remove some wrinkles for a client and this technique worked great (and saved me some money)! :)
I guess my first PTC video was the nearly 40 minute long about Lightroom CC. That was actually the Adobe software I started with a few weeks ago and later added Photoshop for more complex editing. I fell in love with photo editing and subscribed to the Creative Cloud after the trial. And I really appreciate your videos, Jesús! They are so valuable and I already learned a lot about this complex software. I can’t wait to learn even more!

You teach slow, easy to follow instructions. With you are easy to learn, keep this slow pace and the people learn fast. I watch other tutorial but are too fast, and too confusing. With your video I don't need to watch more than 2 times to learn. But with others I need to watch 7 times with a pen and paper to take notes. Your slow pace make the difference.! Thanks Jesus!! The problem with the other tutorial makers is they lose their target and go off in all kinds of crazy directions. And solme of them don't really know how to teach, so they think 'I can be a Tutorial Personality'. HARUMPH! These people waste my time! Jesús starts with a plan, then he tells you that plan, then he stays on the plan, then says 'let me know'. He is a godsend!

Hi, the first PTC Video I saw was the Photoshop CC 2019 new features. I´m a Photoshop User since version 3 and as Russell Brown said in a interview, we sometimes overlook new stuff and get stuck with our "forever workflow". You showed me the new Content Aware Fill command and I love it. So, congrats, you´re very good and this a very usefull channel. First, Adobe make so many upgrades that is not longer enough time to catuch up sometimes, you know. What new stuff it´s really cool and what it´s just fixing bugs or marketing? I didn´t new about the "regular" undo witch it´s a great thing, really. Thanks again.

I think the first video i watched was the hair masking because i was looking to play with hair color. selecting the hair is often a pain and i was looking for better techniques and subscribed then. love your instructing style. i'm liking editing techniques that improve the look of the subject without looking like it's photoshopped.

Thank you Jesus! I was using the black and white adjustment layer but I wasn't using the sliders to bring out the wrinkles and imperfections so I could see them better until I watched this.

I have just reduced some wrinkles on a client but they are female and I want to reduce the dark rings under her eyes similar to your male client here. Do you have a tutorial on how to do that. When I use spot healing it does not go away but emphasises it with lighter pixels instead. Thank you :)

Yes, Adobe purchased their Darkroom (at that time it was b/w by the way) and renamed it Photoshop v1.0. Later Adobe purchased Page Maker, too. ;)
