I own a 2013 model and I love how basic Jetta's are! from the inside it looks just like the 2013 model. Nothing to fancy and crazy. Just basic and simple, just the way I like it! This is why I love VW.
Great review! This VW is often forgotten about, and I believe it deserves alot more spot light! It is extremely sporty and has a style that will age extremely well over time. The GLI is very spacious and produces so much torque very low in its rpm band. Keep up the great work! -DriveAndBeDriven "The Quest To Record The Best!"
Awesome review ... very thorough from the beginning to the end!!! Luv that it has a Moon Roof, Spoiler & Alloy Wheels. I wished the seats would go up a bit higher (I'm 5"2 very petite) used a chair pillow when I rented the 2016 TSI from Hertz to visit my parents out of state. Extremely fun to drive!!!
I had a manual in my last GTI and got the 2018 with DSG. I miss the clutch pedal but being able to put it into drive at any time is something I was missing all those years.
My husband bought this last friday. I've driven it 4 times and am seriously thinking about stealing it. She punches and you're gone. Rides extremely comfortable at 130. Wayyy too comfortable lol
+heyitsme I can't speak for the CC, however the Jetta is a very nice car, excellent build quality and all. I got to drive this car around from parking lot to parking lot, and the engine has lots and lots of torque down low in the rpm range. Yes both cars have been in their current generation for a while now, but they have aged well. If you want I could do a video on a CC, however I'm not sure the next time I'll be up to any dealership because of this north eastern winter haha! Thanks for the comment.
N&T Auto Reviews That would be great! I'm going to be looking around at different cars for probably the next 3 weeks, so take your time. I want to make sure I make the right decision. I love the styling of the Jetta, however, the body of the CC is what makes me not want it, because it has had the same body since 2009, only thing they've changed to the exterior is the front and rear ends. However, the interior looks really nice on both cars and the cc is a little more roomy. Such a tough decision!
+heyitsme yeah. It's a very tough decision. Hopefully my videos will make it easier for you. I'll try to get up to my VW store in that time frame. If you want, I could take down your email so we could check in every once in a while. If not, just check here, I will keep you updated. I'll plan on going next weekend if the weather allows. Thanks
+heyitsme Absolutely, that's what I'm here for. It looks like my VW dealer has one CC Sport in stock, hopefully I'll be able to take a look at it. You can email me at nandtautoreviews@gmail.com so we don't have to load up the comments haha.
Alex Soto I think VW decided to scale down and delete some features in the wake of "diesel gate" - They dropped SEL premium for 2017 so no HIDs. However, HIDs became an option for the sport trim this year.
I just bought one and the green foot light stays on only during park is that suppose to happne and my car won’t start unless my foot is on the break is this all normal lol
is this US model? i live in Canada, and vw.ca says premium fuel recommended, you mentioned it has 2.0 liter turbo charged, so they are supposed to be same engine but how come it shows unleaded fuel only? i am confused.
+Yongjun Jo This is a US model. That's pretty strange, they might have made a mistake on the website or maybe they might use a different engine for Canada. I'm not too sure, I've came across a few controversial things in my filming so far that really didn't make much sense, but people make mistakes. Thanks for addressing that though!
Hello, I am a viewer living in Korea. I am operating the 2016 vw jetta mk6 facelift 2.0 tdi premium model. I am looking for a genuine spring exclusively for gli, but it is difficult to know the item number of genuine parts because the 2016 vw jetta gli model is not imported to our country. I asked the service center and they said if i check the overseas gli's VIN, they can check the item number of springs, so I need the VIN of the 2015-2016 vw jetta mk6 facelift gli model.. If you don't mind, can I ask you to check the your gli's VIN? Don't worry, I won't use it for anything other than checking the item number. plz, i'm in desperate need of item number of springs..

VW Passat's don't believe in Leather?? All that to look like the Audi 4, yet leatherette? Red Calipers, Leatherette? Audi type rims, leatherette? red stitching, leatherette?.....etc etc
What a downgrade in lighting on the 2017 compared to my 2014 GLI edition 30 which has LED daytime running lights and xenon headlights. The piano gloss black interior trim is also a turnoff. Everyone who has a GTI or GLI should also get a Neuspeed power module, which gives the car another 40 horspower.
2016 was last year you could get GLI or SEL with adaptive xenon HID, had it on my Golf mk6 and it was awesome. The halogens on the Jetta are awful. No idea why they took away that option and got rid of the SEL Premium as well
Well, yeah man; it's an Audi. I got this car full featured for 21300. How much is that Audi? Test drove that and a countryman mini. Maybe I'm cheap or poor but I went with the one I could payoff in 4 years.
I'm going to be honest here and say I found your voice pretty monotone, unexciting, and sleep inducing. Almost like you were reading off a script with no care in the world. At least from my perspective...
N&T Auto Reviews don't listen to that guy. lol just be you. Car salesman are often overly enthusiastic and come across as disingenuous in the process. Big turn off. The best TH-camrs just come across naturally. No BS. .

Fantastic review, on my way to get one with only 25,000 miles!!!
Years later, the simple boxy german style and design is still up to date
this car was actually designed and produced in mexico
@@ciarananything I know that

Nice overview! DSG's are cool, but the standard transmission is where it's at ;)
I had a manual in my last GTI and got the 2018 with DSG. I miss the clutch pedal but being able to put it into drive at any time is something I was missing all those years.
Great review!! Trying to decide between this a Mazda 6, Subaru Legacy and a Honda Civic ... But i Really like this.
This is definitely the enthusiast’s choice. Can’t go wrong with that!

The Canadian version has Bi-Xenon headlights with Adaptive Front-light System (AFS)
An odd omission considering this is the most expensive form of the Jetta. Want to move buyers into the more expensive/premium Golf GTI perhaps?
rd333 they have it here too, but it’s part of a premium lighting package
Very nice review. Thank you.
excellent video
Would you recommend this or the CC Sport? The CC is a really nice car but I feel like both the interior and exterior look really outdated.

No LED lighting? Or bixenon? The 2016 had them. And the 2017 Jetta SEL have them too. Weird.

The interior sort of looks like a ford fusion interior, except for the red stitching. Love this car hopefully it can be my first car.
I also wished that it would have remote start on it
+BellaTorresBruh Yeah, but you can always look into an aftermarket remote start system. Good luck!

Premium is recommended in order to obtain the maximum HP, but all vehicles display the “unleaded fuel only” badge here
NICE!
I dont understand no Xenon Projectors? Reflectors on a GLI MK7??
It is not an SEL - though, not sure if they did away with the trims for 2017. I know that was the case for 2016, though.

Nice car and review though :)
Anyone use premium fuel on their mk6 gli
That's what ur supposed to use lol. Well, 91 is the minimum but 93 is optimal.
Not wheel locks on there man
Ugh the nasty yellow lights.
+king kicks I thought they would offer the LED lighting system for the Jetta, but I guess not haha.
