Multiple doors is what I am doing. I have 8 acres on a very large (12 mile long) fresh water lake. I am starting with 3 to 4 shoreside cabins but eventually I can fit 10 cabins. That would leave enough land around each one for privacy. I pray for 80% occupancy on the cabins and calendar.

The village in which a property I have an offer pending on is forcing short term rentals to utilize a property management company! So I called the local PM, 43% fee!! What happened to a free enterprise system, sounds like a monopoly to me!

Blocking my neighbors right now! Bamboo is cool, what are some other things can you use for a 6’ fence? I got 240’ of solid rock and clay🥵 ✊🏼 I’m up for ideas😁
Privacy screening hedges and plants such as English Laurels. Fencing is good too, but can get expensive. But you can create some really cool ones with TREX decking.
@@KaiAndrew I'd be worried about the bamboo. I considered growing it to block views as well as to eventually create a free source of bamboo to build and decorate with- but- it spreads super fast. At least everything I'm reading is turning me off to the idea. Your neighbors aren't going to be happy if bamboo overtakes their property. Did you find a good way to contain it?
What about cleaning & flipping the unit between checkout/check-in? Do you utilize a cleaning company or employ someone for it? Are there ways to make that easier?

I am landing hacking right now. I’m curious how you write off expenses. My account has told me that since this is currently my primary residence, I cannot write anything off…such as renovations and furniture.
Need to set up a business entity and possibly write it off as in home office/storage area. That's what my accountant does for my other business. Also get a better CPA.

Glad you liked those. Airbnb just recently added those functions (last year or so), but most other management platforms have that capability too.
