This turned out absolutely amazing Dan! Everything you did worked together so well and that Amy grill fits the car so well and actually looks better than the intended kit, I think the clean gap surrounding it really made it work. The chop turned out great and of course I love how the chrome reversed wheels look. You should definitely be a proud man on this one mate and keep up the great work! 🙂

At first glance, it just looks like a nice build. but the more you look, the more you see all the work and craftsmanship you put into this. I feel like I took the easy road by not doing more to mine. I love the exhaust pipes, it reminds me of a certain red white and blue chopper lol
An excellent color choice for sure. Those stripes on top of the cab, nice! Reminds me of something off a brule wood and gold inlay dash. Those AMT '53 kits are a gold mine of parts. The epitome of an Old Skool Kustom! Hard to believe that it started life as an early Ninties Hot Rod. I have used a lot of the Testors Extreme and not had an issue with it from a full can down to the dregs. Even this gold, which I thought I recognized right off the bat.
Don't get me wrong, good paint on a body is my nemesis. It is just I have better luck with both Tamiya and this Testors Line. I wish Testors would offer solid colors and metallics with a smaller flake for factory colors in this line. It covers well and levels nicely.
