USACC ’55 Ford Truck. I’ve finished polishing the turd!

- After making a pretty epic mess cutting, grinding and bashing it was time to turn it into something slick. So here is that result - my contribution to the the 3rd annual USACC Group Build of the Monogram ’55 Ford F100 Pickup.
This was an ambitious project that threw me a few curveballs along the way. Just remember, if you don’t swing at them you’ll never hit one. I hope you enjoyed the series and I also hope this build inspires you to grab some plastic, cut it up and see where the journey takes you.

Man that color….speaks volumes…shows all the curves…great job tim…
Thanks! It's had to be brown!
Your builds are out of this world
Your story behind the build is fascinating as well.
Thanks so much. I try to have fun with them. Glad you enjoyed it.
The B-Turd theme! Who da thunk it! Neato! Can u say winner winner chicken dinner! Very cool colors Tim ! 🏆🏆🏆🫡🫡🇺🇸
I'll just take a chicken dinner, wait I think I've cut up enough birds for a while. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching.

Turned out great Tim!!!!
Thanks! Hope you get to see it sometime soon!
The Lil’ turd🤣🤣🤣. That is absolutely amazing work! Just…..greatness!
Thanks, it was fun! Since I called it a Turd, I felt it should stay a turd, with just a little less stink.
WOW Tim! That is stunning. Great story line as well. Well done!!!!!
Thanks! It was a process that was a fun ride.
Your truck is AWESOME!!!!!!! Very, Very Cool!!!!! Thanks for sharing

Very cool truck!!! Original concept great job!!! Using the T Bird back half roof and windshield was a perfect choice!!!
Thanks! It was fun to make all that work together.
BOOM! Mind blown! You are not a scale model builder, you are a scale model CRAFTSMAN! Love the positive attitude!

It took some extra polish, but it got done. Glad you like and thanks for watching!
You make this look so easy Tim! Just amazed by your design eye.
It's not easy, but it you set your mind to it and go for it, it can happen. Glad you like it and thanks for watching.
Reminds me of Johnny Cash, it's a '55 '56 '58 Square Bird pick-m-up. Love it.
Thanks! It's just a 'lil Turd. Glad you enjoyed it.
The front fender wheel wells.
Huge improvement
Thanks! Its just the stock openings, they were relocated a bit though!

Well, that turd turned out awesome. Color and the stripes suits perfectly with the interior color. I liked the tip with the tape and the console. Please share those tips more in the future. And maybe picture of the burn pile.
LOL, The burn pile doesn't seem very exciting! Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it.
Super cool Tim! I love the turd bird. You have a great imagination. 😎👍
Thanks!
Dude, this thing is wild! You have as much effort and talent involved in the concept and planning as you do in the actual work I think. Really really nice and so different. Thanks man.
Thanks! The plan changed a few times during the process, I believe for the better. You have to stay fluid. Glad you enjoyed it.
Wow!! I really enjoyed the whole process and the end result doesn’t disappoint! Awesome work! 👍
Thanks! It is an evolving process. Glad you followed along.
Cool, a '55 T-Bird Ranchero! 😎👍
Yep, sort of. I really considered if it could have a bed, but decided it would ruin the lines. Glad you enjoyed it.
Just awesome. Love how your vision came forward on this.
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it.
Wow Tim that is amazing your one hell of a scratch builder everything turned out great!! Beautiful colors

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
Amazing Outcome!
ThunderFurd!
4:46 Not a Mercury, Meteor was a separate brand. Ford, Meteor, Mercury and Lincoln. Some models were Mercury Meteors but the Meteor Brand had 4 lives in Canada…for the most part they were Ford bodies with Mercury roofs and unique chrome and interiors.
You are correct! It is an interesting grille design though. Thanks for watching.
It turned out amazing Tim ❤😊
Thanks so much. Glad you enjoyed it.
Having seen this in person at the MDA show, you may feel it's a turd but it really turned out well, and you nailed a cohesive theme. It was great meeting you BTW!
Thanks! It was nice to meet you as well. The turd name is kind of a joke since that is what I called the kit when I first started the project. It felt it was funny to keep the name with the theme. Glad you enjoyed seeing it at the show.
I skipped clicking on this a couple times, wondering why it kept coming up in my usacc searches, cause any fool can see that's not a 55 Ford pick-up. Well I guess I'm the fool! I think everyone has already covered what an awesome job you did here, with every part of the build. About the only thing I can add is that I think you have inspired more of us to try more new things and techniques on our next build. thank you for showing us your skills!
LOL! Yep, it is certainly a Monogram '55 Ford Pickup, just modified a bit. Hope you check out other videos showing the process of how I built it. Good luck on your next build!
I certainly will! I sure I can find lots of inspiration there! @@timkustom
I don’t no what to say,I’m really stun, this is a work of art,I’m really impressed

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
Definitely unique
Thanks for watching.
Honestly Tim, this turned out absolutely beautiful. If this was a real truck from the 60s, which it very well could have been it would definitely be one i probably would have wanted to recreate. I loved that you tried to keep injecting as much ford DNA as possible even down to using the Canadian Mercury grill, and those headlights worked so well with it too. The interior work was simple yet so affective and when i eventually build my orange hailer im definitely going to be using the pinstripe technique for the chrome insets.. just bought those panels to life. The colour, lowered fenders, pancaked hood bed, the list goes on and on has resulted in one of the most stunning ford trucks I've ever seen. Love how you do your videos too mate, really enjoyable from start to finish and always gets me coming back for more. Keep up the inspiring work mate and hopefully speak soon ☺️
Thanks for the thoughtful comment JB! Glad you enjoyed it and looking forward to what you come up with next as well.
