Great video, Dr. Youn. The only issue is that it is expensive where you live overseas (Morocco). I am undergoing PRP treatment and mesotherapy. I am still losing some hair but not as bad as it was, and I am an older woman. What is your opinion?
Great video, however it’s very upsetting that these products are $224, $500 & $1200 which is unaffordable to most especially in this recession. I’m sure there is an enormous profits for all of these products especially if they can offer $400 off.
I saw a dermatologist several months ago for the first time. She diagnosed me with Rosacea and suggested products they can "only be bought through a dermatologist". Long story short a month of product would have been ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS and she got commission. Anyways I fixed my own damn skin doing research for under 50 a month... all of this crap is a racket.
Thank you for including prices. My mom is really self-conscious about how much her hair has thinned over the years and I thought maybe I could use something mentioned in this video, but that's way above my budget right now 😔

Rosemary oil mixed with a carrier oil like coconut oil, olive oil, or jojoba oil works amazingly and doesn't cost $300 to $500 or more per kit or the 30 to 50 dollars for the big pharma old school cream that women shouldn't get anywhere near, especially if they want to have children. Also, if you can eat avocados and tomatoes, mix them together and eat them 2 to 3 times per week. Your hair will grow like crazy, and your skin will thank you as well. It's a powerful combo, yet I rarely hear anyone on the mainland talk about it. Now, if you go to Mexico, Costa Rica, Cuba, Brazil, Hawaii, Africa, Italy, Greece, France, Asia, India, etc., etc. (literally every country and continent in the world), They all have and use their own well-known combinations that are made and used daily by the natives and the true locals. Every country and every culture has their own natural remedies that are absolutely proven to work; plants, herbs, spices, oils, beans, shells, rocks, bugs, salves, and natural tinctures have been on this earth before human beings. None of our ancestors went to Wallgreens or to ye' ol big pharmacy in their neighbourhood grocery stores to get what they needed. Come on! And none of the above would cause your organs to fail eventually or give you Dementia, Alzheimer's, Cancer, birth defects, or the myriad of other issues man-made big-pharm-harm-products do. (I'm not a granola crunchy mom, FYI, but I'm from various native bloodlines; therefore, I'm going by what my ancestors taught us and what we are passing down to our children.) Though, ironically enough, I am eating wildberries, bananas, honey, and yoghurt topped with granola. Sooo, anywho...The above point is still valid! ASIDE, from my delicious snack! May I kindly suggest you go back to the basics? Your hair, mind, body, skin, and overall health will thank you! As for the idea of dermarolling on the scalp, I believe it originated from a little facial tool called microneedling? Seems like the premise is paralleled.
I would think castor oil would probably be a good carrier oil also, since some people claim it also helps with eye lash and eyebrow hair growth. Not that I've tried it. I've been trying prediluted organic rosemary oil on my scalp 1 to 2 x per week, massaged into my scalp, then either washing or just rinsing out, followed by conditioner. Been doing that for a couple of months. I'm not 100% sure it's working, but my thinner spots at the front of hair do appear a bit more filled in to me. I will say I started taking pumpkin seed oil supplement a few months ago, and I have noticed an increase in the growth rate of my hair and nails. My hair is curly and slow to grow, so even my spouse has noticed it growing. And, I'm filing my nails back almost every other week. I used to go a month easily before my nails needed filing back. Mind you, they're not stronger, just longer. Lol
Dermarolling is the same thing as dermastamping/dermaneedling, the tool just looks different. It was made for the same reason dermaneedling was (scar treatments etc), but the scalp is also a place that has skin so it can work there too. I used dermarolling for a scar on my upper arm, and another on my thigh, like a decade ago. It was almost magical how much it improved in only 3 treatments (once every 4-5 weeks, 1 or 2 mm, I forgot which). I also used a 0.5 on the outermost corners of my dark circles around my eyes (not too close to the eyes! Just at the top of the cheeks), and to this day the reduced size has stuck and people no longer are as prone to asking me if I am sick since then. I can't speak well enough about dermaneedling/dermarolling.

To reduce hair fall, eat a balanced diet that is rich in protein. Use a mild shampoo for your scalp. I changed my shampoo and hair conditioner to litlleeextra cocconniioon one year ago, and reduced my hair fall.
I recently tried Cocoonnion Hairfall Control Shampoo, after a recommendation from a friend. When I discussed my hair with her, she told me about this shampoo. To be honest, after only a few washes, I saw visible results. My hair feels healthier, and there's no more hairfall.
I was on the lookout for a hair growth serum and littleetxra reactiivvate growth serum seemed appealing as it had some impressive ingredients. It contains Redensyl, Rosemary and several other beneficial ingredients. These ingredients are recognized for their positive effects on hair growth. I started using it and I think it appears to lessen hair fall. It is lightweight with a non-sticky texture, so it can be applied easily. With consistent use of two and a half months of regular use, I have noticed significant hair growth and new growth of baby hairs.
You could get your yearly & find out what vitamins you're low on & start taking more of them, like I did (I was short on Vitamin B) hair is growing & is getting thicker!!
The cost of these products are absolutely outrageous! We need companies that can manufacture these types of things geared towards " regular " people not people who have just expendable money. This industry is bad enough as it is with weight loss, plastic surgery and everything else that goes along with trying to keep yourself healthy without having the cost being so high that it can send you into a downward spiral. Shame shame shame on all the industry
Step1:check u r blood work and see if u have any deficiencies.. Get supplements for your deficiencies or get them naturally from food Step:2 use rosemary oil diluted with carrier oil once or twice a week..and wash it of with sls free shampoo, i would also suggest using rosemary water every day spray few times on u r thinning and bald spots Step:3 invest in a scalp massager and a bamboo hairbrush... Massage your scalp 5-10min daily Step :4 apply a hair growth serum which has anagin and procapil(u can try ordinary or wishcare both are good) Step 5: handle your hair very gently very cautiously don't tug or pull it while brushing detangle with your fingers first then brush them. Step 6: stay away from heat, bleaching and colouring U will see your hair as you will to see them... Don't invest on stupid stuff... Invest on things that actually work
I've had satisfying success with Rosemary essential oil for my female pattern baldness. I've been using it for about 6 months and I have a lot of regrowth (2-3 inches long) of hair I had previously lost. I know it's all regrowth because the rest of my hair is waist length. I used to loose so much hair, more then in post-partum shedding, like a hand full every time I washed my hair and since I've begun using Rosemary essential oil when I wash my hair, I loose maybe 5 hairs.
@@georgiefarrington6388 2 drops when washing, rinse, 2 drops with conditionner, lets sit while I wash myself, rince. Done. And I only wash my hair once every 6-7 days.
You know what worked for me? Vitamin D supplements. Over the counter, 1000 mg twice a day. Was doing a blood test to check for something else and doc said i was low on vitaD. I took supplements and hello, my hair got thicker and grew back from thinning. I am female, so i was ecstatic!
I'm thinkinga abt doing the same thing too...i think i have a very low level of vit d since i don't really like the sun, I'm planning to take 10000 iu every single day since i notice or feel like my hair is thinning and sheds a lot when i shampoo my hair, btw how long did you take it untill you see the results?
If all of this stuff must increase blood flow and oxygen to the head skin and hair follicles, then the scalp massage is the best to try. It must be done daily for 20-40 min. It’s important to massage every single centimeter of the scalp, moving it until you feel warmth.
Of course, the prices are high enough that only wealthy people can afford these. I'm really getting sick of the rich only being able to afford anything that helps/treats/cures people.
i'm 32 with medium long curly hair. and the top of my head is starting to thin. I've noticed a year ago. now a year later. I can see through my hair and see my scalp =/
If you can see a dermatologist because there are many causes of hairloss. You should get bloodwork too. I'm doing Rogaine . Have a Dermatologist appt this week. I feel your pain.
I have been using Vegamour serum for 6 months and it was growing my hair ! I stopped using it and I wasn’t eating well only like once a day probably or twice… and my hair started shedding again 😢. But while I was using that hair serum it really worked ! Is a little expensive $50 per bottle. The shampoo and conditioner are good too! I will try nutrafol and the iRestore laser in combination with vegamour once I return to USA from my vacation.
I have thinning hair, and it’s not going to stop me from having fun. I don’t care what other people think 😂But, I can see it as a concern for women, because they are “supposed” to have hair.
I've had a "balding" spot since like 4th or 5th grade, it definitely made me feel like less of a real girl (especially because of being bullied for being too much of a tomboy by my own parents). I just usually keep a hat on when I can be arsed, and if there's going to be any photos taken I use makeup on my scalp to make it look more normal. I never got into wigs because of being too poor and prioritizing other hobbies. It really really sucks to not look good bald and having a balding spot. Some women look so badass and cool with shaved hair. I just look like a cancer patient.
I use Mielle Rosemary Peppermint oil & apply a few drops the sparse areas on my head and it works like a charm. Noticed new hair growth/baby hairs within two mos and they are still coming. You have to keep using it though. I also use a HairMax laser comb every other day. Been using it for years. I think that's helped also.
I’ve read that rosemary is the “active ingredient” for that. There’s quite a few oils that supposedly do that. I say supposedly because I haven’t tried it or seen any of it used personally.
By me helped more Selen, Iod, Iron, B-Komplex- more B5 B3 and CBD/CBG, Cystein, DVitamin. And after this I made a treatment and must determinate, that I had trychoid problems with mineral and vitm deficits together. If man has more estrogen, it can come to lost of hair also. But it doesn`t happend, if you have a good balance between progesteron and estrogen. Progesteron helps also by lost.
If you have male pattern baldness, none of the things mentioned here will work. I should know, even the expensive lazer helmet didn't work on me. The only treatments that work are the prescription drugs combined with minoxidil. Unfortunately I'm allergic to minoxIdil.
No they're not only for women... He used these methods for himself and it proved effective for him.... But if ure allergic to minoxidil use Rosemary Oil... and other oils... check out some other videos on hair growth... and read the comments on his earlier video on hair growth... Where he 1st introduced the iRestore helmet... He talks about other things u can do... as do the many comments below thst video... Also. check out videos by Samyuktha, on TH-cam.. and read comments on Youn's earlier video... People talk of the many things like using onion juice on their scalp for 15 mins every day, use different oils made with cold pressed oils, curry leaves, onions, ginger, henna, need leaves... Castor oil with little almond oil, and cloves... curry leaves, neem leaves also can be added.. in coconut oil and sesame oil..
My dermatologist recommended monthly diluted steroid/saline water tiny injections in ares of scalp with hair loss. Also use Finasteride with it. He said not to use Nutrafol because of Vitamin A and how it decreases the effectiveness of Biotin. He also recommended Biotin 1000mg tid but no more than that amount each dose. Does this sound reasonable? For a 60 year old postmenopausal female.
@@PaKLeAdR You can drink the topical liquid it works just the same, I've done this for 5 years and seen good results. It's much cheaper, no prescription and easy to measure from a 1ml dropper as 1ml =50mg
I don't know why doctors promote low level light bulbs for growing hair , but gather your own trials and tribulations.,I guarantee that will be one thing that you'll drop from your hair growth protocol .I never used it or considered it .I find more people promoting to use it than actual people who have gotten noticeable results from using it .on the other hand be cautious with micro needling as part of the reason people don't respond to topicals is because of fibrosis .so if you gained some noticeable results in a couple months than keep it up .I went way longer and nothing was effective til I found something that reverses fibrosis .
Dr. Youn, thanks for the video. I would love to try red light therapy but the irestore helmet is out of my price point. Do you recommend any of the red light combs?
Is there a way to basically temporary way make it feel like your hair is thined out the hair so it’s more comfortable doesn’t feel like it’s consuming me? 🙄🙄🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Just as an aside, it's recommended that biotin supplements be discontinued at least one week prior to any blood work as it is known to skew the test results.
I love your videos, very informative. I was considering ordering nutrafol for men but i have UC and many reviews stated that they started having various gastrointestinal issues so im a little hesistant. I read there another product thays even better than nutrafol called "hair la vie" that is also all natural and has better ingredients. Thiughts on that? And can men use it?
Dr Youn, I've tried to look this up with no luck for so long. Can I use laser treatment for hair growth and facial hair removal, with a coil implanted in my brain after a hemorrhage? 1 beautician said I couldn't have laser hair removal. Hope you can help?

It's like popping all the pimples.
It's also not recommended because the needles are not going straight in and out but at an angle which causes more damage. But yeah, very difficult to get clean. Honestly surprised he recommended it.
Daily Scalp massage for 20-40 min a day. It’s important to massage every part of the scalp, moving the skin and the soft tissues under it as to feel warm. It must be done for at least 6-7 months . it is well known we lack selenium in north american diets, evven organic foods lack it. it is a trace mineral. breeders of show animals have known this a long long time. Anything to have what appeared to be gorgeous manes, tails and coats. short term tho, these animals had premature deaths albit slower than killing a rat. another affect was dehydration that led to insanity. hey...all things are connected..human,animal,plants and stones/minerals . you'd be surprised at how much mineral, good and bad is used in cosmetics, hair dye is one of the worst. that can factor into premature hair loss. do I get a Noble Prize for this? 😂 i sure love sharing and dove tailing what this brilliant, compassionatex Dr. shows us. KUDOS TO YOU DR HUGS TO YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE! 🤗
You'd be a trillionaire if you could come up with a product that would stop hair loss. If any of this shit works, we wouldn't have bald people walking around. For years there have been hundreds of products that made crazy claims giving false hopes to so many desperate men and women. The sad part about this is people are so desperate they are willing to spend money even if you are telling them it doesn't work. As a hairstylist I'm constantly hearing and seeing people telling me they are trying this, and those products and even claim to see some growth. Of course, a year later, NADA! The only product I've witnessed with some results was Propecia, but unfortunately it has many side effects.
Regular. Normal people aren't able to pay big dollars to start new hair growth. I would like you. Dr. Youn to portray yourself with absolutely no cosmetic procedures or surgery. Yes. I watched your other videos. I figure you would look pretty disturbing.
Hey Dr. Youn, just wanted to let you know that I have been getting transphobic advertisements before some of your videos. I’m not sure if you can specifically tell off certain advertising agents or companies, but these were all from a ‘docudrama’. I’m afraid I can’t recall the name but it’s not only distressing, but spreading false medical information on your videos.
While I don't get ads on TH-cam or create content, I don't think the creators have any say on what ads play. There's a TH-camr called one topic at a time, who is a big LGBT ally. Even though his content actively pushes back against hate, there are still instances where those ads will appear which he states he can't do anything to remove them. He could be lying but I don't think he would be. Regardless, I'm really sorry you had to see that. TH-cam itself should really do something to combat these ads as they're absolutely unacceptable. Hope you're doing well though❤
Oh okay, gotcha! Sorry, I know on other platforms you can block certain companies, wasn’t sure if that was the case here. Thank you and the others who responded explaining too! Gotta love the TH-cam advertising algorithm…

I appreciate all your suggestions, as the combo of cooconioon hair shampoo + reactiivate serum worked wonders... My hair is regrowing
You could get your yearly & find out what vitamins you're low on & start taking more of them, like I did (I was short on Vitamin B) hair is growing & is getting thicker!!
That is a very good point. Not all causes are the same so might be a factor for some.
I'm proud of you Dr Anthony Youn your own skincare line and these hair restoration kits pure awesomeness
Vitamin D works too! Don't forget to get it checked at the Dr (through bloodwork)
Step1:check u r blood work and see if u have any deficiencies.. Get supplements for your deficiencies or get them naturally from food
Step:2 use rosemary oil diluted with carrier oil once or twice a week..and wash it of with sls free shampoo, i would also suggest using rosemary water every day spray few times on u r thinning and bald spots
Step:3 invest in a scalp massager and a bamboo hairbrush... Massage your scalp 5-10min daily
Step :4 apply a hair growth serum which has anagin and procapil(u can try ordinary or wishcare both are good)
Step 5: handle your hair very gently very cautiously don't tug or pull it while brushing detangle with your fingers first then brush them.
Step 6: stay away from heat, bleaching and colouring
U will see your hair as you will to see them...
Hey how do you use it? :)
Rosemary is so good! I used to make my own rosemary water and saw so much growth! Helped me better than rice water
@@georgiefarrington6388 2 drops when washing, rinse, 2 drops with conditionner, lets sit while I wash myself, rince. Done. And I only wash my hair once every 6-7 days.
That's awesome! I shared the secret of topical rosemary oil on my last hair video.
@@isabelleblanchet3694 thank you so much !!!
You mean 1000 iu???
Definite food for thought.
If all of this stuff must increase blood flow and oxygen to the head skin and hair follicles, then the scalp massage is the best to try. It must be done daily for 20-40 min. It’s important to massage every single centimeter of the scalp, moving it until you feel warmth.
Dr. Youn, you do not have thinning hair!!!!!!!! You have one of the best heads of hair on the internet!!!!
Of course, the prices are high enough that only wealthy people can afford these. I'm really getting sick of the rich only being able to afford anything that helps/treats/cures people.
Shampoo less, wash with water only in shower, and use aloe vera on scalp and hair also oil treatments

i'm 32 with medium long curly hair. and the top of my head is starting to thin. I've noticed a year ago. now a year later. I can see through my hair and see my scalp =/
Same problem here. 33 year old :( ur not alone
I’m 62 and have had this problem for a few years too. I feel your concern.
If you can see a dermatologist because there are many causes of hairloss. You should get bloodwork too. I'm doing Rogaine . Have a Dermatologist appt this week. I feel your pain.
Have u listened to dermatologist Dr. Usama Syed on YT, on a new (to some) hair loss treatment?
W/Rogaine, u loose more hair b4 or if u grow hair.

Women have hair lose just like men...this is awesome! Thanks again for a very informative video Dr. Youn!!
Yes! But it is more acceptable for men to be bald, while women have to wear wigs and toppers to cover up the thinning.
There is nothing awesome about women losing their hair!
Thank you and losing hair sux.
@@HarmlessCommentso you like bald Dwayne Johnson & hate Zac Efron? 😂
@josephinemiller4780 for the record, I was saying his video was awesome...not the fact that people can lose or have thinning hair!
Plus bald men are sexy
I don’t get why men don’t care they should take more care of there appearance it’s embarrassing
Rosemary is a strong antioxidant. I wonder if that means lycopene also works, it would be hilarious to horrify people with tomato paste hair packs.
@@MsAubrey That is correct re rosemary.
Lol, there’s a lot of lycopene in watermelon too🤷♀️
By me helped more Selen, Iod, Iron, B-Komplex- more B5 B3 and CBD/CBG, Cystein, DVitamin. And after this I made a treatment and must determinate, that I had trychoid problems with mineral and vitm deficits together. If man has more estrogen, it can come to lost of hair also. But it doesn`t happend, if you have a good balance between progesteron and estrogen. Progesteron helps also by lost.
I can't imagine how a woman can even roll that spikey roller along scalp without major entanglement!!!
NOTE 📝...." THIS VIDEO IS FOR THE WEALTHY!"
If you have male pattern baldness, none of the things mentioned here will work. I should know, even the expensive lazer helmet didn't work on me. The only treatments that work are the prescription drugs combined with minoxidil. Unfortunately I'm allergic to minoxIdil.
His videos are mostly for women anyways that’s why.
Mine thins and falls out then grows back. I have hormone issues. So I go through a thinning and falling out to a hair growth cycle.
For a 60 year old postmenopausal female.
gonna show my mom and grandma this, ty ty
I use oral Minoxidil. My hair stopped falling out within a week.
Oral monoxidill?? I've only seen the scalp treatment.
@@rebeccalucas6063Yes ita more effective than the topical. I use it too.
I just heard about it, I believe with oral, you have to get a prescription. 😢
@@PaKLeAdR You can drink the topical liquid it works just the same, I've done this for 5 years and seen good results. It's much cheaper, no prescription and easy to measure from a 1ml dropper as 1ml =50mg

Guilty Gen X here - I had the celestial blanket on my waterbed!!
I always watch your video…they are very informative
Im concerned that the derma roller would cut what little hair i have
I don't know why doctors promote low level light bulbs for growing hair , but gather your own trials and tribulations.,I guarantee that will be one thing that you'll drop from your hair growth protocol .I never used it or considered it .I find more people promoting to use it than actual people who have gotten noticeable results from using it .on the other hand be cautious with micro needling as part of the reason people don't respond to topicals is because of fibrosis .so if you gained some noticeable results in a couple months than keep it up .I went way longer and nothing was effective til I found something that reverses fibrosis .
everything is so expensive.. i stay bold 😂😂😂😂 ppl organic unrefined virgen coconut oil is the best 😊
not beating rosemary oil
Nutrafol really does work! Yay!

Just as an aside, it's recommended that biotin supplements be discontinued at least one week prior to any blood work as it is known to skew the test results.

Aren't dermarollers dangerous? You can easily insert bacteria with their needles from safe surface down to where your body can't easily fight them. And the is no way i can sterilise my skin surface to make these pins acceptable.
They're dangerous if you don't cleanse them properly, but, if you clean the dermaroller with alcohol after each use you should be fine.
@@IrishEyes47 but it gets "dirty"the moment it touches my skin, and the more I roll it around, the dirtier it gets. I agree that for one or two passed it may be ok, but it will be collecting everything and anything which is good on the outside and bad inside. That's elevating the risk.

It’s only free method to try…but it’s more effective as it increases blood flow and oxygen to the hair follicles in natural way.

Ugh sorry I have no control over that
He has no control over the ads that play. Maybe just ignore them, like most of us do with things we don’t like or agree with.
Oh okay, gotcha! Sorry, I know on other platforms you can block certain companies, wasn’t sure if that was the case here. Thank you and the others who responded explaining too! Gotta love the TH-cam advertising algorithm…
Wow your whole channel is based on stealing others content...well done.
