- We are back on BeamNG Drive Multiplayer with an attempt at hunt the survivors. It does quickly descent into just chaotic crashing but that all anyone is here to see anyway right.

I feel like this would be improved by allowing the survivors to have a pool of three vehicles to choose from, and they would be required to swap upon being caught. The way it is now having only one vehicle just leaves some of them hopeless like the poor drag Hopper.
While this would be great, the problem is that in BeamMP, when you choose a different car, a massive lagspike occurs for the whole server, which would be quite annoying. This is not a bad idea, but it just wouldn't work out, I believe.
to be fair, we were allowed to choose our own cars. i chose the hopper, it was horrific but funny. still happy with it
Beam is probably the best platform for this sort of thing, the devs should work on multiplayer. The things people could get up too

Never realized before how good the sense of speed is in BeamNG, 100mph on the main road looks REALLY fast, even in the video, and on the small side roads even just 50mph looks fast...
Which is of course realistic, 50mph in a narrow alley is fast.
But most games really struggle with the sense of speed, making 200mph feel slow.
BeamNG was made for Hunt the survivors, and Hunt the survivors was made for BeanNG. This is incredible!

One possible tweak - Have two or three rounds. In the second round, the survivors all swap cars (most captures with least capture, second most captures with second least captures, etc. If there is a third round, all survivors use one agreed upon car with different colors (if possible).

It might not be the highest-brow entertainment, but watching the cars annihilate each other on impact is very satisfying.
Well done to Amy! This was a wildly entertaining video, mega thanks to all involved for participating. Definitely would be worthwhile turning into a series in the future, so much fun to watch.
This game seems way more fun than forza. Is there a mp limit cause it’s not that many ppl on the lobby
The game is very heavy on computers with many cars spawned in at once, which causes lag, especially with multiplayer. There isn't really a hard cap on players, it probably just causes too much lag with more people.
we've had 10 people in MP before which was just about the upper limit of what most of our pcs could handle

pretty sure a lot of the crew are primarily console players so they don't have powerful enough PCs for it
The mp limit is based on the worst computer of the group. Roughly 1 core for each car.

That was a fun watch. But yeah, your vehicle should probably have a little less power.
Using maps better suited for car chases and a bit more balanced cars would make this truly series worthy.

You could do this gamemode again but maybe have a limit on how many times the hunter can reset. It means you can't just ram into the other cars with no regard to your own. Love the content
This was massively entertaining, and the fact that they could use curbs against you added a bit of nuance I've not seen before. :)
14:56 I love how realistic of a scenario that crash was, a violent T-bone caused by excessive speed and distracted driving.
Actually, it was pretty close to the crash I was involved in when I was in high school. Someone sped through a red light and slammed into my mom's old Subaru, which I was driving.
This has made Hunt the Survivors at least 10x more fun, it's only missing t-boning a mini thinking it's a traffic car only to realise it was a player when it's too late lol
But seriously the BeamMP content has been amazing and a refreshing change of variety for the channel. I wonder if having everyone make Automation cars for this would work, would add another interesting element if it did.
I love the jeep that lost it's head lol. Fantastic! The triple at 10:45 was convienent too!
Would love to see more of this, but with more of a chase aspect instead of destroying your car every time. Maybe a limited number of resets and/or a slightly less OP vehicle could make it a lot more interesting
BeamNG is excellent for these chases! Amy/Leathercap did quite well for herself initially in the PIccolino. Some great dodges from the survivors!

Kinda late to the video, but it was awesome! The crashes are so violent that it's great to watch. I like it even more that the Forza version.

Because it had been faaaar tooo lucky getting away before.
The chase vehicle is almost unfairly quick but being it tends to U turn on it's own from overpower makes up for it. Those Jeeps seem to be able to wheelie at will but to their own determent in this game. It's silly but entertaining nonetheless.

Felt like the gamemode was far too hide-and-seek. Give the survivors sportier rides or tone yours down to allow for more complex interactions.

This was absolutely beautiful. Especially that combo of captures near the end. Who knew that Hunt the Survivors would be such good fun on Beam? The destruction definitely makes it better.
The electric car is probably too strong, it seems like the motor is harder to damage and likely has a higher mass due to having a heavy battery, I agree you need a farther spawn point because it felt like half the tags were on the street leading out of the spawn. But otherwise great video!
I'm just imagining in a nature documentary voice "Here you can see a green electric SPR 4 in it's natural habitat hunting it's prey. In a final desperate attempt to avoid capture the pink jeep will shed it's body to confuse it's hunter, leaving only the necessary wheels, frame, and engine."

Absolutely brilliant as always. This is so much fun. I love Survive the hunt and hunt the survivors. This one is so much fun. All i can hear in my hear is Jeremy Clarkson shouting POWER. Speed is good. You and the team are brilliant. Thank you for this.

This was much better (IMHO) than the previous multiplayer Beam offering. I always like to see these classic games in different games. The two advantages Forza has over Beam is that there are more players in Forza, and there's AI traffic that makes blending in a valid (and often successful) tactic.
I vote everyone uses Jeeps next time! Pinky reacted hilariously in crashes. Top stuff. I really wish more people saw your content.

I also don't comment a whole lot, but this is DEFINITELY a good combo of game mode and game. Way more fun to watch HTS in Beam than Forza.

I love the beamNG multi player action it definitely makes it harder if you drive some thing that is easier to disable. Glad to see more of it.
Also there is a tank mod you could probably use in your bulldog game mode if you wanted that to be a series.
You could do this where you (the hunter) have a list of progressively slower cars which you swap into after every reset (or every other reset maybe) That would maybe make it a bit more tactical and less torpedoes if that's what you wanted. Maybe let the survivors have a back up car as well, in case someone has an absolute nightmare like Joe this time XD

If the torpedo tendency is a problem maybe give the hunter a limited number of respawns, makes it a little more tactical
i think you should make a demolition derby, with more people, with an arena big enough to torpedo people, that would be hilarous to watch, so much potential fun to be had on this game

These multiplayer bash fests on Beam are exactly how any "Hunt the Survivors" should always be - complete wreck-a-nados with the glorious lack of predictability of an open world. Even if the game mode isn't perfect yet, the hijinks certainly make up for it. Perhaps a resetting point central in the city?
A really fun variant of this, considering mods do work on the multiplayer, is to have everyone build a car in Automation, the survivors should be price and perhaps engine limited, Alex can build a ridiculous monster of a car.
Really enjoyed this one. Hope you do more of them!

Hey great video enjoy most of all the videos. Got an idea for this 1 tho. Maybe make a point system on the 1s u take out and make it a point game. It also creates a point system u can rate other hunts and see if u can beat previous hunts

you have a fast car but that doest mean you need to go fast. you catch more just exploring carfully

Pity the city is either indestructible or drive-through. It would be fun if the buildings and stuff got more and more destroyed during the race, adding obstructions and hinders for the cars.
