- I have 20 minutes to catch as may cars as possible in BeamNG Drive multiplayer, with my car being unusual i have to try a different driving style and there is a fair amount of spectacular crashes along the way.

Jo’s “tumbleweed” escape was the car version of a cat jumping and flailing and freaking out all over the place when it gets scared. I love it!

This series is truly super-fun! The fact that there's damage plus a fairly difficult handling make it better than GTA versions where it's mostly about efficiency in spotting, following and choosing the battles. Here it's actually difficult to execute a contact and not get yourself killed in the process :).
The damage makes this so much more fun than hunt on Forza!

Laddo’s stair escape, Jesus. That was seriously entertaining, the big, bad, diesel powered off-roader, is beaten by a wagon purely because it was more ambitious flooring it over some stairs.
this was absolutely brilliant. the drag hopper was definitely form over function but it was great to have it back

The previous map with the coast and Alex using the EV was definitely more suited to the drag Hopper, but this was great entertainment nonetheless! Many thanks for it's return.
This was filmed at the same session as the proper racing video. Of all the cars driven that day, pigeon was by far my favourite and one I done best in.
You are correct, Beam has introduced some steering assists, including countersteer assist. They can be adjusted in the Settings>Gameplay menu (some are turned on by default). The reason the transmission wasn't putting power down was because Beam's dual clutch transmission doesn't engage a forward clutch unless the wheels are stopped or rolling forwards, if they are rolling backwards it doesn't engage the clutches. I think mod transmissions will though, at least iirc.

This was one of the best HTS videos I have seen in a long time. I feel like the balance in this one was perfect, the ability for the survivors to get away (actual chases required, which immensely raises entertainment factor for me), and the nicely balanced penalty for the hunter. I actually liked the limited grip of your car in this. Made every catch and escape much more entertaining. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I HOPED HTS IN BEAM WOULD BE. Can't wait to see more of this!! @FailRace
Amy's one tag was definitely catch of the day, while Laddo's use of stairs gets him escape of the day for sure, I couldn't help but laugh out loud when Alex got wedged xD

HTS is always good fun. With Beams deformations its another dimension added. Drawback is only 6 other players so it can take some time...

Epic catch of the day. Sorry Amy, that had to hurt, but that was epic none-the-less.
So to summarise; best getaway - Laddo, best capture - Amy, most fun vehicle - Jowo and Russkiy is a Pigeon fancier (I'll see myself out). Thanks to everyone involved.

I've been playing this game recently (single player only so far) and discovered that if you "rewind" (up on the directional pad on my controller) a short amount and then keep going, when you do your next full reset, you will reset where you did the "rewind". Not sure if this works with multiplayer

I built a D-series for this mode, slick tyres, 4x4, big power, big front bumper. Great fun!
Amy seemed to be especially good at staying in one piece. The one time Alex tagged her was mostly luck. In the chase, she managed to keep ahead without wiping out.

the beam team did add oversteer and understeer reduction in a recent update, you can turn them off or adjust strength in settings

Definitely have to do more Beam videos now that the game has motion blur. It makes youtube happier and its much more pleasing to the eye. There is no motion blur in this episode though, I guess it was filmed before the update came out. Make sure you have motion blur on for future videos Alex!

BeamNG did indeed add oversteer and understeer assists in recent updates, and they are enabled by default if you drive with keyboard or gamepad. You can adjust the sensitivity or disable them outright in the gameplay settings.

Could be you have clutch assist on (or stall assist or whatever it’s called). So when you’re in 2nd gear spinning around in place and don’t get any forward drive maybe your clutch is engaged. You might be able to find out by adding the UI tool which shows the pedal input. It’s under Gameplay and if you turn it off the engine will stall more easily and get damaged.
Now I want to see Alex do this whole driving a Robin or something.

Yep, in the recent patch auto steer and a few other assets were changed and placed on by default.

It could be cool to see the filming crew run small under powered cars that are nimble like the piccolina, pidgin, and drag hopper against you in a D series built like your "indestructible" build you used in a past video. Just with a high powered engine.
