Ikr? Hive knight was tbh one of my favorite bosses not because of the hilarious bee noises they make, but also because of the theme and design of the fight. The fast pace of the battle really has a fitting theme that doesn't just make it outright frantic, it's great.

How do you even go to city of tears unprepared? That's literally the most obvious and easy place to go after getting the Mantis claw. Even quirrel recommands you to upgrade your nail before the fight with the Mantis lords.
I’ve always wondered if people like TwoSet would appreciate soundtracks like this. Like not just them, but what any classical musician would think of some of the really good osts out there.
I'm a violin player that also arranges music, and I love game OSTs. They tell so much about the world or character that the track is about. For example, the vessel leitmotif (heard in Hollow Knight, Broken Vessel, Sealed Vessel, and Pure Vessel) ties together all of these fights. 8bit music theory has a great series on the topic.
I usually never post comments on TH-cam but I have to now. I know I’m late but I just finished the 112% of the game and my god it’s the absolute best thing I’ve ever played and the music is a great part of the experience. Never heard an OST so good even in the biggest production. Truly amazing job. Thanks Team Cherry and thanks Christopher Larkin.
Hollow knight has this special thing that mostly only happens in indie games. Everything is so intimate, specially the music. A big amount of the tracks use only a few instruments, and it feels very personal for that, really touches your feelings. Even thought, this game can also sound majestic, representing the shine of the divine and the glorious, frightening, as unbelievable creatures face you down, tragic, as the weight of failure and desperation consumes you, and much more. Truly a masterpiece in every aspect.
Hornet: elegant, sounding like a wild chase, capturing her eleagence Mantis lords: cembalo, sounding noble and classical, perfectly capturing theire lordish atmosphere Nosk: sharp and shrieking noises, according on the deadly insect predator The vessel: sad and dark, but still menacing enough, just like the tragic boss himself Radiance: orchestral and chorus, made for a god among insects Grimms theme: like the music in a circus but with orgen, giving it a special vampire-touch Nightmare king: BURN THE FATHER, FEED THE CHILD
when the Mantis Lord’s theme came on during my play though I spent a majority of the fight having Hollow Knight dance instead of fight because of how sick the sound track is and they’re all such bangers
I love how intense False Knight's theme is despite him being one of the easiest bosses in the game. I mean, he's hard compared to vengefly king and gruz mother, but that's not saying much.

Nosk is the most ADORABLE creature in hallownest. I don't know why. But when he's running back and forth across the screen like an excited puppy it's hard not to smile.
Does that mean Grimm has a shade? Did Grimm help us defeat radiance? Would Grimm be able to contain the radiance? What would happen if he came in contact with void? Was he made by the nightmare heart like the pale king did?

I love how in 99% of action based games, there's super epic music that no one in universe is hearing, but in so many calm and relaxing games, the NPCs *are* aware of the music
The music for this game is so good! Thanks for putting the main ost and dlc ost in one video. I love listening while I have things to do, and it all being in one video saves me the time of starting new videos to keep listening.
NKG's music will always give me flashbacks to my attempts of beating him in genereal and attempting the No-Hit, when there's no stakes tho and you fight him again for the sake of re-visiting it's a really fun fight. One of the best ones in the game along with Radiance and Sisters of Battle.
Radiance is a horrible boss. I mean, ok, the introduction, the music, the void slowly going up as she becomes increasingly desperate... That is a well done, but the actual fight itself is bad. Also, Hornet sentinel is my favorite boss.
Most of these tracks still overwhelm me with deep sorrow and nostalgic no matter how many times I've listened to them. HK is definitely at the top of my all time favorite game list.

That magical moment, when you just started the game, knowing nearly nothing, and descending into the crossroads. This music together with the not knowing what happened here was maybe the highlight of my first play through
I love this music so much. Thanks for uploading. My favorite is Truth, Beauty, and Hatred. Even though listening to it gives me Grey Prince Zote PTSD flashbacks but the beat is just so awesome. Both versions of Hornet's and Mantis Lords themes are amazing too. Then you have The Grimm Troupe theme. Never felt so bad ass playing a game while dodging fire balls and flaming bats. Christopher Larkin is one of the best composers I've ever heard. Wish I had talent like that. I can't wait to play Silksong. I must admit that I'm a late fan to the series, because my first impression of the game was "Cartoon bugs? I don't know about that". Then I finally got the game on sale then immediately regretted that I judged book by it's cover. I could've easily missed out on this gem. This is one of the best games I've ever played. Now I look at other indie games with a more open mind. Thank you Hollow Knight creators.
I know this is late but if you like indie platformers Celeste is perhaps the best game you will ever play except maybe this one. It is just a masterpiece.
I just noticed that Sealed Vessel it`s more dramatic version of Enter Hallownest. Our adventure starts with the second one, while the first one is our last fight. This is so beautifull T.T
WOW the Path of Pain theme hits differently when it follows the Sealed Vessel theme after the scream... dang, I got goosebumps all over! Never listened to the full Sealed Vessel OST, I only heard bits here and there through the gameplay. This is SO SAD, it really weighs heavily.

I’ve always wondered if people like TwoSet would appreciate soundtracks like this. Like not just them, but what any classical musician would think of some of the really good osts out there.
I'm a classical musician, and despite a lot of bias against pop, I love every second of this OST, as well as those of the souls saga
I'm a violin player that also arranges music, and I love game OSTs. They tell so much about the world or character that the track is about. For example, the vessel leitmotif (heard in Hollow Knight, Broken Vessel, Sealed Vessel, and Pure Vessel) ties together all of these fights. 8bit music theory has a great series on the topic.

I usually never post comments on TH-cam but I have to now. I know I’m late but I just finished the 112% of the game and my god it’s the absolute best thing I’ve ever played and the music is a great part of the experience. Never heard an OST so good even in the biggest production. Truly amazing job. Thanks Team Cherry and thanks Christopher Larkin.
Hollow knight has this special thing that mostly only happens in indie games. Everything is so intimate, specially the music. A big amount of the tracks use only a few instruments, and it feels very personal for that, really touches your feelings.
Even thought, this game can also sound majestic, representing the shine of the divine and the glorious, frightening, as unbelievable creatures face you down, tragic, as the weight of failure and desperation consumes you, and much more. Truly a masterpiece in every aspect.
The Gods and Glory track genuinely gives me ptsd flashbacks to all those hours spent grinding the pantheons

when the Mantis Lord’s theme came on during my play though I spent a majority of the fight having Hollow Knight dance instead of fight because of how sick the sound track is and they’re all such bangers
I love how intense False Knight's theme is despite him being one of the easiest bosses in the game. I mean, he's hard compared to vengefly king and gruz mother, but that's not saying much.
That's actually also Watcher knight's theme, the third hardest boss in the game, they are intense enough
@@saulmoment4008 well that's disputable. They're hard, but I'd say three hardest are Pure Vessel, Nightmare King Grimm, and Absolute Radiance. Watcher Knights are somewhere in the top 10 probably

Nosk is the most ADORABLE creature in hallownest. I don't know why. But when he's running back and forth across the screen like an excited puppy it's hard not to smile.

I love how in 99% of action based games, there's super epic music that no one in universe is hearing, but in so many calm and relaxing games, the NPCs *are* aware of the music

I've finished this game 3 times and I still struggle to comprehend how beautiful this game is.
The music for this game is so good! Thanks for putting the main ost and dlc ost in one video. I love listening while I have things to do, and it all being in one video saves me the time of starting new videos to keep listening.
NKG's music will always give me flashbacks to my attempts of beating him in genereal and attempting the No-Hit, when there's no stakes tho and you fight him again for the sake of re-visiting it's a really fun fight. One of the best ones in the game along with Radiance and Sisters of Battle.
Radiance is a horrible boss. I mean, ok, the introduction, the music, the void slowly going up as she becomes increasingly desperate... That is a well done, but the actual fight itself is bad.
Also, Hornet sentinel is my favorite boss.

That magical moment, when you just started the game, knowing nearly nothing, and descending into the crossroads. This music together with the not knowing what happened here was maybe the highlight of my first play through
I love this music so much. Thanks for uploading. My favorite is Truth, Beauty, and Hatred. Even though listening to it gives me Grey Prince Zote PTSD flashbacks but the beat is just so awesome. Both versions of Hornet's and Mantis Lords themes are amazing too. Then you have The Grimm Troupe theme. Never felt so bad ass playing a game while dodging fire balls and flaming bats.
Christopher Larkin is one of the best composers I've ever heard. Wish I had talent like that. I can't wait to play Silksong.
I must admit that I'm a late fan to the series, because my first impression of the game was "Cartoon bugs? I don't know about that". Then I finally got the game on sale then immediately regretted that I judged book by it's cover. I could've easily missed out on this gem. This is one of the best games I've ever played. Now I look at other indie games with a more open mind. Thank you Hollow Knight creators.
I know this is late but if you like indie platformers Celeste is perhaps the best game you will ever play except maybe this one. It is just a masterpiece.

WOW the Path of Pain theme hits differently when it follows the Sealed Vessel theme after the scream... dang, I got goosebumps all over! Never listened to the full Sealed Vessel OST, I only heard bits here and there through the gameplay. This is SO SAD, it really weighs heavily.
Every single part of this game is amazing...graphics, ambience, story, fights, bosses...but this OST, my friends...
