  • Basically with this upgrade you lose the common shut off valve issue but also get more air coming into the engine for an upgrade.

Well the carbs that you are talking crap on are knock offs of dellorto carbs and they come in different sizes. I run a 19mm carb on my pocket bike engine that I use to power my moped at over 45MPH. It seems to me like you got one of the 14mm carbs or possibly a 12mm. So of course it will be really close to the same size as stock.

All the carbs are not bad. They all work. The 'race' carbs they sell are not what you are using. Also problem is when you need good tunability, walbro, or walbro clones are the easiest. I have a few well modified CAG reed engines, bored out walbro clone carb to 15mm, I also use the stock carb, taper ported and rejetted. I have found the race or dellorto clones difficult to tune, half of them leak, and the clones they sell are around 12-13mm. Someone has to dig to find the bigger dellorto clones. Just my years of experience.

Here is the one I bought, you need a fuel line kit, or just 2 fuel lines a rubber grommet and filter, you will have to drill a high spot on the gas tank and plug the old lower supply line at the bottom.

Here is the line kit. The stock carb is much cheaper but these pumper carbs have advantages. Also once you have this adaptive intake, a tunable carb like a wt668 can be used for better performance.

Where did you buy this Carb? I have the same bike and the plastic adapter that goes from the carburettor to the motor split in half so I may as well get a whole new carb

I would have to search for it. I forgot about this video. It is a straight bolt on when you have the correct intake. Then a hole in the tank for the new fuel lines. This bike is gone but I do have the engine.

No I haven't, had one on my Blata. Not my favorite carb. With these nonEuro pocket bikes I like a modified stock round slide or a pumper carb, AKA a chainsaw carb. Both work great even on the heavily modified engines.

I do taper bore the front of the carb and rejet, modify the petcock so the fuel flows better and then a new shutoff upstream.
