    • @CarsWithKeav

      The coating itself can last a very long time the benefits of the graphene wear down sooner. They only quote expected duration of the graphene attributes and not the ceramic coating itself. So I don’t know if it’s marketing wording or not. I’m not a chemist even on the easiest level. 🤣

      Graphene itself breaks down quicker which is roughly 3 year mark, not sure how Adams says such a high year of protection. Testing it is tough because it is a waiting game of course lol.

      All in the formulation. To get super gloss over the durable coating you sacrifice longevity, but that is just the the length of super glossy attribute. The base of the coating itself will last longer.

    I purchased the 3 year graphine, do you think I can put this over TW max wax, I polished and decontaminated my paint before hand.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  ปีที่แล้ว

      You mean you have already put down TW Max Wax? Then I would say no, this needs to be the base coating just after polishing as it chemically bonds to the clear coat. The Max Wax would keep this from happening properly. TW Max Wax would be a topper coat you can put on after it cures to make it last even longer.

    Are you not concerned with introducing swirls by applying the coating in a circular motion? I've never seen it done that way before.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Swirls are not always caused by circular motion. They are tons of micro scratches and the round nature of lighting such as the sun creates an effect that looks like they are circular. Not concerned about scratches from applying a ceramic coating due it is a lubricant before it flashes and the applicator material is designed for it. The surface is very clean before as well. So no dirt or debris between the pad and paint. Now the chances of scratching are greater when using circular motion due to it being more aggressive than a straight line. I trust Yvan from DIY as he is all about scratch prevention.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I will be doing a one year update in a few months, but so far they are working out great. I wash them quite often every time I wash my cars and they also get overspray from every chemical known to man whenever I am washing my cars. Beading like day 1 still. I do maintenance washes on them every 3 months or so as well. Have the 8 year installed on one of my cars and the 3 year on another and they are doing great. I would say so far on par with the Gtechniq CSL and EXO combo I have used in the past, but I don't have any long term experience with these yet to say which is more durable over several years.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@michaeljaramillo3285 Beading is great and less water spotting because of the Graphene. Also remember if taken care of properly this will last much longer than 3 years just the graphene attribute would wear off by then. The base ceramic will still be going strong. Best advice make sure to keep shaking the bottle every few panels to get that graphene mixed in real good.

All I can say is I have expendable income and can do all of this without the TH-cam Channel I just enjoy the creation process and to let other people know about good products so they don’t have to take as much of a risk.
