      Awesome to hear, thanks for your comment! This wrap works great for up to 10mn or 12mm stones too. If you use a larger stone than 12 mm this wrap still works but you need to consider perhaps adding a 3rd wire. All of the motions would be the same otherwise. Once we are fully moved into our new place, I will try to do a variation of this wire wrap using a larger stone for you.

      @@PerfectlyTwistedJewelry just pulled out my caliper and the rounds are 18 mm. I will watch the tutorial again, maybe my aching brain can think bigger. Thank you for your response, I appreciate your thoughts 💭. ✌️❤️

      @@tbilly6201 in the beginning, I use 2 base frame wires and weave them together to start the frame... weave together 3 base frame wires. Use the same motions as the rest of the tutorial from there and just make sure that you cover your stone with the wires decoratively .. I hope this might help you visualize until I get my studio back up. Have fun!

      You are so welcome! If you're familiar with weaving, you can add a third wire. If you're not, then I'll be making another video soon.... this is my continuous flow frame I've been building jewelry for years with. I'm sharing it... one wire at a time ;) Here is a link to my Processus frame, one wire mini ;) th-cam.com/video/nZI44xWHTdw/w-d-xo.html

      Michelle, the other thing I thought you can do is weave a bit longer if your stone is oval, wrap the bare wires more than once around maybe... I'll build another video soon using a larger stone and I've got earrings on the board too ;)

      @@michellebloom705 Hey again... sorry I have a new puppy in the house, so my brain is only working in spurts! lol... the other thing I forgot to say is that this wrap, as is, should hold a cab up to about 10mm if your stones are round but just a bit larger. Again, extend the bare wire more over the stone to hold it, but it should work up to 10mm. Thanks again!

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used to teach so I have a ton of stones, you can get them at local rock shops, you can also order them online from jewelry supply sites. Google 'buy 8mm cabochon' ... you can also buy them from Etsy from various sellers... my stones come from all over the place. Mostly Etsy sellers if I order online and mostly at rock shows. I hope that helps!
