The catcher got traded the minute before the game to the team they playing. So they couldn’t give him a New Jersey so he had to wore the other teams jersey
What are you even talking about? You see him snap it off before the 2:00 mark. He throws it off the index finger. It's not a special grip honestly, curveballs can be thrown off the index or middle finger depending on the slot you release it from and the velocity.
He's referring to the actual pitch being thrown in an angle where we can see the movement of the ball from the pitcher's mound to the catcher at home base. The cameraman would film from behind the pitcher in a sort of POV style. Same view that we'd see when watching baseball on TV.
I love seeing a video like this where someone has a pretty bad issue/dissabiltiy who finds a work around to still do something they love. The issue being mental or physical. Stella Young, a disabled woman who has passed away, pushed to say that just because someone is disabled and can remember their name they shouldn't be inspirations. I agree! The inspiration I find from this teen is how he simply overcomes the setbacks he has to achieve a certain goal. It makes me think my goals are that more plausible and importantly reachable.
This video touched me, more than the other ones here. And I think that's because I share the same story as Dylan. When I was born, I was born with my hips turned *Extremely* inwards, it was so bad that the doctors had told my parents I'd never run correctly, if at all. But I grew up knowing this, and ironically I fell in love with soccer of all sports. To this day, the strongest part of my body is my legs. And I'm DAMN proud of it! You guys just keep working, nobody can truly stop you!
Update to the Story. Dylan is now in college and is part of his University's baseball team. He is continuing his dream and seems to continue to beat the odds.
This is where my middle school is. Also the shirt that he is wearing is from John champe, which is mostly like the high school in am going after middle school.
His determination and attitude is what really sets him apart - thanks for sharing his story!

nateboard_p you're exactly right. This is the view you want to see. Not some blurry slow motion pitch cut from 3 different angles.
