Turkmenistan produces roughly 70 billion cubic metres of natural gas each year and about two-thirds of its exports go to Russia's Gazprom gas monopoly.

Great video bro. Just a few facts from my end. The name Turkmenbashy actually means "Father of all Turkmens" in Local language. This guy, Saparmurat Niyazov ince commissioned an ice palace in the desert country. Also, the book ruhnama means "book of the soul". He once ordered the book to be taught on all schools and mosques alongside, the holy Quran and even locked up and later exiled an imam who refused to treat the book on par with Quran. The crater you referred to is called "Darwaze" meaning "the door" in local language. The Soviet engineers were digging a tunnel in the area in 1971 when they discovered gas leak thru the crater. So they intentionally set the opening on fire so that it consumes the releasing gas rather than allowing it to spread to nearby villages. (Some mechanism as our kitchen stove).But the fire still burns..
