This one was a slow burn for me. I listened to it a number of times before the 'bouncy' synth that starts with the "Lets get it popping, hot rocking" bit hit me in the right place in the right mood. Now I really, really enjoy it. Certainly no Slaughterhouse - that one's absolutely hogging my Ren listens at the moment, too! 🙌

That’s probably going to be a bit of a problem with Ren as an artist because like…when your catalogue is so all over the place style wise and you’ve made songs that have in some people’s cases literally changed their lives, nobody can have that be the case for every single song.
I'm with you on this one. We can appreciate the art and talent but we don't have to love the sound. I feel the same but still love his genius lines. But what stood out for me on this reaction was you haven't watched Stranger Things 😬 come on girl you got to get to it it's amazing ❤
He said that a drug user friend of his took him to the warehouse and as they were filming there were junkies stealing their stuff and a genuine threat that everything would kick off. Ren thought the tension was helpful. 😂 There's a few bts clips on ig and in one they were getting some of the shots by pulling the cameraman around on a skateboard by his belt. 😂 The beat is based on the old videogame Streets of Rage apparently.
Yes to the Tales, if you feel able. Illest was the first release after Hi Ren blew up, and when he gets emotional on the stream when he sees the reactions rolling in, so people remember it fondly. You're not the only reactor who's not keen though - TheBlackSpeed really didn't like it. Maybe watch his reaction to help pin down what you didn't enjoy? The all-white is part of the role he's playing in the video - someone did a breakdown that he becomes the leader then gets betrayed, so he's on his own at the end.
