more importantly if you play this yourself look out the back window of the elevator the traffic simulation is pretty good the cover system in this is great there are tons of breakables, great graphics, a good health system also, and this might be the most important part SNAKE FIST!!! in all seriousness though this is by far the best game out of the 3

Why is it that "next gen" games nowadays require ridiculous amounts of graphical processing power, but only look marginally better? This only needed 256mb graphics card to play, and now modern shooters want like 2GB graphics cards. Now, they look somewhat better, but not EIGHT FUCKING TIMES better, not even twice as good. Like 1.5 times as good only.
Because we've hit a point where there are so many polygons that we don't notice how many there are relative to older games. Plus newer games have way better animations and tend to look better due to lighting and particle effects, which require more processing power compared to raw poly count. Little stuff that doesn't leave as much of an impact visually. And on a more cynical note, everything has to be open world nowadays and because most devs just don't optimize their games very well :/

Through the bloody door at 27:53 is one of the most unsettling pieces of F.E.A.R. there is. I waited the whole time for it. But no. You passed it. What a shame.

Honestly, as a F.E.A.R. fan, I refuse to acknowledge that when people say "the F.E.A.R. games" they mean 1, 2, and 3. The original F.E.A.R., Perseus Mandate, and Extraction Point are the only real F.E.A.R. games.
I agree. While people praise FEAR 1 and 2, FEAR 2 is actually a lot like 3, it is just more exciting to play than 3. FEAR 2 is still a huge difference from the first game in atmosphere.
Even though the whole story of F.E.A.R. is kinda all fucked up, 2 and 3 kinda fucked it up more so. But I do like 2 allot more than 3, but I totally prefer the original and the two expansions.
I enjoyed 3 as a co-op game. It was fun with my friend, but it should have been a completely different game. It wasn't scary, which really disappointed me. I couldn't imagine playing the 3rd by myself though, it would be pretty dreadful,

I think my favorite part AND simultaneously the most frustrating aspect of all of the 2BF's is when they talk over the dialogue (or don't read the objectives), and then complain that the game didn't tell them what to do, or that they weren't paying attention.

A lot of places that should usually be crowded but aren't make pretty good horror areas, because you immediately think something is wrong. Places like schools, hospitals, and office building work well because there SHOULD be people there, but there isn't, so you are put on edge. Also, narrow and confined places work as well, because they play on natural claustrophobia (i.e. no place to run).
This month should have been called, Shitstorm of Flashlights. Almost every game has Matt and Pat talking about if a game has good or bad flashlight mechanics.

It's indeed one of the greatest games ever =) It has a good story, subtle symbolism (everywhere), an awesome soundtrack, awesome atmosphere and of course the original Pyramid Head who's appearance made actual sense in context to the game.
