Huskies sometimes rum like that; because in this formation, if one falls down a hole in the ice, the rest don't fall with it. I doubt you guys care but I just thought I'd share.
Many of the shitstorm games i'd like to see finished because games like this only really start around an hour in and just escalate from there... I mean they revisit stuff like rule of rose or call of cuthulu but cryostasis is just like 'heres a sneak peak, annnnnd we're never playing it on the channel again, hope you enjoyed it cuz you'll never see our reactions to the rest of the game' (which is quite considerable)
Today was my birthday. After having an excellent day, I go to youtube to unwind, and see another great video from Matt and Pat. Best birthday ever :3 thanks guys.
Here's a Russian horror myth for you guys (or maybe it's Ukrainian I can't remember, somewhere in that alcoholic evil-eye gypsy reign): If a baby dies in childbirth it becomes an empty vessel for demons to posses. To kill the demon-possessed baby and to stop evil spirits from inhabiting the dead baby a nail is driven the skull of the baby. Grieving mothers who can't bring themselves to stick a nail in their heads drive up to a forest and then bury the baby's corpse there. It gets worse, if you do something to wrong one of the villagers (like sleep with their daughter or something) they'll take out to the forest and dump you in the middle of it with only a hammer and a SINGLE nail.
Baba Yaga is creepy, probably the oldest origin of the european/eurasian Witch in folklore. They also have that creepy santa claus too, not Krampus tho(he's germanic).
That game looks great! The water effects on the walls looked realistic, I really did feel cold in those environments, and that icy filter over the screen warped the image in a really cool way without it being distracting.
I did notice a lot of your folk lore actually intertwines, it's one of the reasons why I like it so much. Most of the stuff I grew up with were all confined to their own stories and were rarely every told to have met another character. Baba Yaga and Koschei are my favourites by far though :P They show up everywhere and have really fleshed out stories. Also, that does make sense, if you harness something for long enough it eventually loses something.
They do joke about everything though. They've made jokes about like children getting raped and killed before. and the way they laughed at it furiously was a little much in terms of taste, but that's just how they are. You don't get angry at the guys from southpark for that shit because they've made fun of literally everything real or otherwise, accurate or not, truth or lie. In terms of comedy you should be allowed to joke about everything
I remember hearing something about it once in a Koiramäki kirja, and only now remembered it when you mentioned it, but i've never heard of it elsewhere.
This was actually really entertaining, quite a unique concept for a survival horror game. Gotta hand it to Russia. Also, Pat sounds like he needs a hug. *HUGS*
I wish matt and pat were next to me when im waiting for a loading screen to load every time because they say the most random things it would keep me entertained
the ancient russian legend of a faceless man in a suit. "this will be wery scary in about a thousand years but for now it is just confusing" says wizened old lorekeeper
This game actually looks pretty awesome. The echo ability is rarely done to enhance a story like that. People might give me examples stating otherwise, but to me this is pretty cool.
Pathologic has to be one of the most bizarre yet compelling games I have ever played. I imagine Matt and Pat would just rage non-stop at it for a half-hour...which would be pretty amusing, to say the least =P
A few suggestions: Scp-087-B, SCP-173, Labyrinth, Vampire Rain, Penumbra: Overture, Evil Dead, Cold Fear, Ib, Splatterhouse, The Calling, MAZE, Inquietude, and Paranormal. Lovin' this little series!
I'm going to be that guy. Yes, sometimes you do only use 4 or 5 dogs for a team. And the reason why they are running in a straight line is because that's proper procedure for unstable ice areas. It allows you to spread out the weight of the dog team more evenly, and if one dog falls through the ice the others don't get dragged down with it.
This game looks so sweet! The ice looks and sounds so authentic! And the atmosphere... let me tell you guys: I'm sitting here, covered up, and I'm still getting shivers! Sw1tcher should post links so ee can check out these games!
I knew about the Mara, but I just thought they were a name for the standard succubus/incubus. I didn't know about the Nightmare part, though. Thanks for that!
It's actually interesting you say that. See, there's a theory that Baba Yaga herself is an imported -Siberian- monster or witch legend. The Siberians used to have this kick-ass funeral ritual where they would build a shrine or a tomb and then plant trees underneath to elevate it above ground. It's thought that this is the origins for Baba Yaga's 'chicken-leg' house. It's one of the reasons I liked Baba Yaga in Lords of Shadow, aside from her level just being fun.
This game shows that studio has alot of potential. Not much polish but good concepts and can see they can execute them. Wouldn't mind seeing a AAA by them
Aw. This looks like another one I would vote for, if all the shitstorms were put up to a vote. There's like... two or three of them I'd like to see Matt 'n Patt do.

When they explained a "nuclear ice breaker" I nearly choked on my rice. Holy s*** that was funny
Yeeeeeeaaaaaah!! met another person that eats rice perhaps regularly, ha Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaawuyah!

Holy fuck
Man, Eastern Europe is metal as fuck.
Lie
You illiterate fuck.
***** who pissed in your cheerios this morning? chill.
I wish "Press to sit down" would have gained traction.

This video right here is undeniable proof, if it were needed, that Matt and Pat don't live in the USA.
They can pronounce 'nuclear' correctly.
It's way too late of an answer, but an icicle totally fuckin' owns the pervert from Lovely Bones.

When pat jumped an ad instantly played. I've felt this much tension before!
27:07
"It's called 'theming'"
"You think you're so- you're not Ego-"

the only russian myth monster i know of is the baba yaga, which is actually pretty creepy
my god I love how they upload at least 2-3 videos per day. I can hardly keep up this shit is great
Baba Yaga?
Fallout Kat The Baba Yaga is a witch that steals your baby in Russia if you leave the window open.
This would be a pretty cool let's play. Bu then again anything you guys play ends up being super entertaining.
that moment where matt says windagos and they appear in until dawn years later... mind blown
22:08 "cause im a man, a big tough man" as he quicksaves.
Tricorder? More like Perestroi-corder! ....I'm so very sorry.

Does ANYONE else think that the voice actress for the intro is the same as in Dark Souls?
The storybook opening in this game really brings to mind RE Village
They do joke about everything though. They've made jokes about like children getting raped and killed before.

miss you guys
I was literally screaming WARM YOUR HANDS, PAT when he was trying to figure out the jumping puzzle.
gonna miss this series when its over..love seeing daily videos
Yea, I think we're all expecting a full Two Best Friends Play out of this.
This is just hilarious. When I watch these videos and then play the games afterwards the games scare me less.
Urban dictionary now has the term "Nuclear Icebreaker" because of this video.... Thanks for helping me prove my friends wrong :D
Thanks for reminding me, it seems i had forgotten these, and maybe for a reason.
I remember hearing something about it once in a Koiramäki kirja, and only now remembered it when you mentioned it, but i've never heard of it elsewhere.
Oh my god, you are my favorite person right now.
This was actually really entertaining, quite a unique concept for a survival horror game. Gotta hand it to Russia.
Also, Pat sounds like he needs a hug. *HUGS*
That's like being pissed at Santa because your parents never explained the reason for his omniscience.
This frustration is half the fun with some of these videos.
Nuclear Icebreaker should be a god damn shirt...jesus that would be amazing.
I know what he's talking about: For every outcome an offshoot of reality is made! I loved that in bioshock!
Its quantum leap! Going back to save someone from dying with a little cool 80's flash.
Love that show.
I legitimately wish there would be a season of "shitstorm of scariness" this year.. That would be friggin awesome.
best series of the year
i love how Woolie is mentioned in almost every Shitstorm vid
13:03 I caught that AVGN reference Matt. Well played.
I wish matt and pat were next to me when im waiting for a loading screen to load every time because they say the most random things it would keep me entertained
out of all the games so.far;.this is the one I want to see a playthrough of.
Great part. Love this series.
Matt throwing that fire axe is the oragmi killer.
the ancient russian legend of a faceless man in a suit. "this will be wery scary in about a thousand years but for now it is just confusing" says wizened old lorekeeper
Today is my birthday and this just made it better!!
I know they don't usually get scared by horror games but the jump scares in THIS one actually scared them?
Hm. Now i have to watch it :)
Thanks.
***** I thought Pat was in a constant state of anger.
Best definition of 'nuclear icebreaker' ever.
nice "snatch" reference Matt, "As bent as a soviet sickle and as hard as the hammer that crosses it."
"Vision is fogging up!"
Sounds like home to me.
best episode so far, i love this game
I know right? It became an essential part of my day
Happy Birthday all the way from London
That flashlight looks really similar to the old German ones from WW1 and WW2. Pretty nifty looking!
This game actually looks pretty awesome. The echo ability is rarely done to enhance a story like that. People might give me examples stating otherwise, but to me this is pretty cool.
I dunnoooo... Shadow Moses seemed pretty damn cold! Thank god for the Sneaking suit!
Wish every month was October! I love watching shitstorm of scariness series!
Wow, this one is my favourite shitstorm yet. You should do a full playthrough!
This is one of the few games they played for shitstorm that actually looks really good.
The game actually looks pretty neat. I hope it becomes a candidate for full playthrough sometime!
Wow.
You are a master storyteller.
Pathologic has to be one of the most bizarre yet compelling games I have ever played. I imagine Matt and Pat would just rage non-stop at it for a half-hour...which would be pretty amusing, to say the least =P

Every time they dive into someone's memories, it looks like Dovakiin absorbing a dragon soul.
Awww. I was hoping to see more. Now I'm just left unsatisfied.
"Oh fuck off, oh fuck right off"
who knew that Pat can be such a poet.
I'm going to be that guy.

"You got to get him Rocky. You got to give him that left than the right!"
This was a great ep.
The part about the trees in intro were the best :D
For 1 month a year, I have to unlock my fear, and crap my pants at anything pretending to be scary.
They'll probably do a full play of one or two after this series ends at the end of the month.
I think out of all the shitstorm's, this is the one I want to see a full playthrough by them.
Still one of my favorites and hoping for a full playthrough
This game looks so sweet! The ice looks and sounds so authentic! And the atmosphere... let me tell you guys: I'm sitting here, covered up, and I'm still getting shivers! Sw1tcher should post links so ee can check out these games!
xD I love you Matt and Pat!!!!!
YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!!!!
awww this game actually looks cool hope they play more of it at somepoint
I would have loved to see these two play through this whole game, mainly to see their reactions to the increasingly creepy and disturbing enemies.
Guys, you seriously need to do a full playthrough of this!
And also that story in the beginning is actually meaningful.
"I like string theory a little bit"
That tears it! You guys are okay my book!
This looks pretty cool, didn't even know it existed before!
This should be a full play through. (I'd love to hear all the Russia jokes.)
I'd really like to see them play this one. it seems very interesting and I have yet to find someone on TH-cam who plays like Matt and Pat do.
The husky whisper.....Hail to the King...
I knew about the Mara, but I just thought they were a name for the standard succubus/incubus. I didn't know about the Nightmare part, though. Thanks for that!
Thanks for the snatch references i don't know anybody who has seen that movie

We just need a shirt with Pat on it and a quote going "Who dares wins....Right?"
I was expecting a Ghost Trick reference when they went back to fix that guy's fatal mistake :P
they mentioned Balto, oh man that movie made my childhood.
This game shows that studio has alot of potential. Not much polish but good concepts and can see they can execute them. Wouldn't mind seeing a AAA by them
I'm back here because Jacksepticeye mentioned Cryostasis in his Still Wakes the Deep video. Never forget.
Swinging an axe? That's more then Matt could do.
Aw. This looks like another one I would vote for, if all the shitstorms were put up to a vote. There's like... two or three of them I'd like to see Matt 'n Patt do.
This is a good game with interesting story, I was kinda amazed by it.
MAKE A FULL WALKTHROUGH!
