I’m 47, and run my own small business crafting different things I love. I am always ‘busy’. Your video is something I really needed to see, and I need to rewatch frequently to remind myself to let go of things. Since leaving a stressful part time job 10 months ago, I learned I put all that stress on myself. I still haven’t found how to ‘take care of myself’ and hope your tips can help me with that. I have stopped purchasing things I don’t ‘need’, aiming towards decluttering. I eat much better and recently went from a cocktail 6 nights a week to 2 and feel SO much better. Thank you I look forward to exploring more of your videos!

I absolutely love your video. It gave me much to consider. I’m developing my “quit” list immediately.
P.S. - Please don’t change your style. It is so authentic, honest and relatable. I feel like we’re having a conversation. 💜

I can relate so much to the do-it-all part. I've been a caregiver all my personal life and an engineer/teacher in my professional career. Even after I retired, I took care of my elderly mother for a couple of years, then of my baby granddaughter for another couple of years, and then of my ill husband for about a year. 2024 is probably my first year in a long long time when I can focus on myself, on finding my true self. I gave up things I like to call "vanity calling" such are using foundation, dyeing my hair, high heels, power dressing, etc. I must admit I am envious of you for finding a place where you don't need to drive. I am the only one driving these days and it's becoming dicier and dicier out on the road.

What a thoughtful insightful and thoroughly enjoyable video. Your backdrop is also simply lovely. You have given me so much to think about how I spend my time. I’m 75 yrs old, on my second marriage after being a widow for 5 years. My life transitions have forced me to change my personal life and for me, I need to examine them more closely in order to appreciate my changes. Thank you so much. From Calgary Alberta Canada.

I have quit having to remodel or redesign my home. I used to spend a lot of time making Pinterest boards on this topic. Now I want to enjoy what I have, not focus on what to redo next. Thank you for your video!

Kerry Ann, thank you! I’ve been retired for over 7 years and it’s taken me this long to slow down. I love your points and plan to adopt a couple of these for myself. ❤

Dearest Kerry Ann: I am so glad to have found your channel and the niche that you are focusing on that crosses over with my own 54 yo early retirement personal journey. So excited to have someone of your depth and perspective to fill this gap. As a former public speaker and owner of a speaker's bureau, I must submit for your consideration a couple of suggestions that I think are important to attracting and keeping subscribers. I wish I could reach out directly rather than post publicly here, but there are a couple of verbal habits that make it very hard for me to watch your videos for long. First, the "ums" "ahs" and the long guttural "ah" (with vocal fry) are very distracting and quite frequent and repetitive. Second, particularly in your last video, there is a lip smack or "tsk" sound from behind your front teeth after you say ah. While I know you want these to be stream-of-consciousness, unedited, and maybe off the cuff, I would humbly ask if you could work on tightening up the presentation so that the listening of a one-take video is easier to follow and complete. Shared with love and great excitement for all your wise goodness!

I LOVE saying no. I’ve quit saying “yes” to dumb stuff. It gives me joy to not have the standard American answer to “how are you?” I don’t say, “oh you know, sooo busy!” I get to say “I’m sooo not busy and I’m getting very little done these days, it’s great!”
