@@VIPPoolsandSpas I took another look and mine is definitely seized. I inherited the tub and just got the heater working again, luckily the working pump does the circulation so I do have a working hot tub now! I appreciate you answering my question, can you tell me where to look for a decent insulated hot tub cover that will last? I just found out they can cost north of $500 so that was a surprise...
Hey boss i bought a used one trusted a sketchy dude and basically have to fix myself , its a 110 and takes forever to heat up he said it did get to 104 but who knows so when i plugged in no power , so connected the black hot wire , and powered on but cant get above 75 its cold outside now ,so gave it a day ,so could i put the black hot into red hot ? Since someone said thats the high , and maybe it heat faster and how he get it to hit 102 , please help dont have many tools or idea what im dojng just figuring this of common sensse or could i adjust the tabs like the 1-9 switches make it run better
I'm assuming your talking about the pump when you say red wire. If so, don't change the wiring. It heats on low because of low amps being used plus the amps for the element. The heater shuts off when on high speed because the higher amp draw.
@@VIPPoolsandSpas but if pump working, jets blowinf , filter and board are moving with no errors , just not heating up and barely most likely is the heating element rite ,? Only makes sense ,
I have a new heater and it seems to be working but the heating doesn't go beyond 27 C and it doesnt drop below 26.5 C. There are no errors indicators on the control panel. What might be the cause?
The heat from the pump is heating the water. Test the element. if its a Balboa spa pack and you get no volts or amps, it will be the board. If you get volts, make sure to test the amps also. If you get no volts or amps, its the relay on the board, most likely.
@@VIPPoolsandSpas thank You for your help. I have four wires: neutral, live, earth and a black wire. The black wire is jointly connected with the live wire on the PCB board…is this right? I have a port on the PCB board which says heater out. Is that where the black wire is meant to connect?
I have connected the black wire to the heater out and it still doesn’t heat up. The four wires (excluding the green earth) can be connected in different combinations to change the amount of watts output in the heater (from 5.5kW to 2kW).

@@VIPPoolsandSpas Ahh Ok I see. Basically I could unbolt one of the copper legs to the element and lid it up so it doesn’t touch the element. Then alligator clip my leads to the copper and element. Thank you!!! 👍👍👍
That humming pump, was that really just an air lock? I have a jet pump that's humming like that.
That pump in the video was just an air lock. Sounds different when it's a seized pump and it hums.

That price for a hot tub is average.

@VIPPoolsandSpas so if the heating element is warm or hot to the touch its working rite
@@Theundisputedtruth no. You have to test for volts. Touching the heat tube doesn't mean anything.

But mine dont go up and down. U think a temp sensor can do that or the thermostat
How can you test AMPs if you only have a multimeter and not one with an amp clamp?
