Thanks for the video - really helped me understand more about the system. I have the same exact model and my problem is (after removing the filter and installing a brand new heater) , the 240 volts would last for about 1-2 minutes and then goes back to 000 . Any thoughts would help . Thanks

    Hi hoping you read this…
What if it calls for heat with no error code and I still get 0 volts across the heater?
Checked house input get 240 coming to the board
Get 120v across each heater input tab to ground.
    Checked fuses they are good.
Checked resistance across the heater got proper 16 ohms.
Could the pressure sensor fail while not reporting an error? I’ve screwed the adjustment in and out all the way and it never clicks into 240 across the heater. I’ve shorted directly across the pressure sensor tabs as well and still won’t go on. Disconnecting either if the wires on the sensor and the error code immediately goes on.
Everything appears to be working is it an internal circuit problem? There is no evidence of failure, no burning no discoloring nothing.
    Any advice?
I’ll pray you have an answer I’d hate to face the possibility that the circuit board is broke and not fixable.

@@VIPPoolsandSpas I've read a diagnostic flow chart that reads if I am not getting 240V across the element when it is calling for heat the problem is in the circuit board, not the heater element. The same diagnostic reads that if I do get 240 and no heat, then the element is bad.
Since I am not getting 240, are you sure the element is the problem? I am hesitant because it is a $180 replacement and I'd hate to be back at square 1 $180 less. Unless I just get the element which looks to be about $40 I suppose....
I very much appreciate your help, if you insist I will order a new element.
Also, it appears that I may have damaged the high limit sensor last night, as now I am constantly getting the three dots. Is the high limit sensor simply a continuity switch that breaks the continuity above a certain temp? Meaning for diagnostics, could I just jump the connection pins to rule out this as a problem and replace the sensor later?

Set temp to 100F, then when it hits the 100....also test the temp of the water. SO, FIRST....test the volts and stuff, SECOND. set temp to 100 and test the temp of the water. See what the temp difference is. See our video on testing volts and amps. Let me know after you do those tests.

@@opiejr97 when you changed the Element, did you change the pressure switch? See video on adjusting the pressure switch. Test element and when you don't have volts....pull the filter and listen for the click of the heater relay. See if that works.

I think it's something from the filter to the spa pack/circ. Pump

so I had a FLO CODE & BYPASSED THE SENSOR & CODE DISAPPEARED & HEAT LIGHT WENT ON. sO I CHANGED & PUT IN A NEW SENSOR & FLO CODE DISAPPEARED & HERE A CLICK & RED HEAT LIGHT COMES ON. THE LOW & HIGH PUMP ALWAYS WORKED FINE & STILL DOES. & THE FUSES ARE GOOD. THE HEAT ON THE OTHER HAND IS ONLY UP TO 72 F. & THE WATER IS COOL. WHEN I TEST THE ELEMENT I DON'T GET A READING OF 120 AT ALL. I GET NOTHING . SO I GUESS ITS THE ELEMENT OR DO I NEED TO CHECK OR CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE. EVERYTHING SEAMS TO BE WORKING FINE....

if you have the Gecko spa pack the pressure switch turns on the element. Make sure the pressure switch is working (any error codes?) If theres no codes or issues, its the element.
