Thanks for this. I would be happy with this level of fix too as the bottom snub is also sticking on mine and cannot get it to release with the lever so going to try taking it out and see if I can get a few more trips out of it 🙏

If you were to take the whole handle apart, you'd probably find the button bit that you pulled out was at one time attached to a spring loaded blade thing that pushed into the tubing on initial assembly at the factory. That button thing has snapped off the internal spring causing it to jam. But a good "near enough is good enough" fix. Thank you.
No doubt you are right there, but I fiugured it would have been a MUCH longer video, and as you say, the button had snapped off so not much I would have been able to do there.
It's still working perfectly and I use it quite regularly! :-)
Congratulations, Mr. Bean! (sorry for the comparison, but in some scenes it just reminded me...). Had the same problem at the airport (could not push it in) and therefore it had to be especially wrapped, etc., grrrrr

Sorry you didn't find it helpful. It's one reason I make a point of saying these are for entertainment purposes. Also I want to be honest about what I show, rather than just some edited fakery. (I suspect the button was already broken for what it's worth, and that is what was causing the jam)

@@hailingfrequencies1701 I taped over all the holes with duct tape and it seems to have fixed the problem - the handle opens and closes now! Much easier that trying to dismantle the whole thing! :-)
I appreciate the thoughts, however as the tab was stuck out and wouldn't go back in, taping over wouldn't have helped in this instance.
