How to fix stuck luggage handle!

- The date was Thursday April 0, 2019. I had just arrived in San Francisco and was on the Bart Simpson train to meet a buddyroo. As the doors closed and I settled in my seat, I went to lower my handle. It was stuck halfway. I furiously jimmy jangled the handle to no avail. It just wouldn't go down. Eventually I reached into the bag and felt around the lining. To my disbelief, a rhino lizard horn was impeding the progress of the handle. I put that lil lizard in its place and now we can all talk about it.

I fell on the way to meet Mrs. CheapAssReviews for lunch last Thursday. It was on a crowded street in a thick group of people. One girl laughed and ushered her friend away, that didn't hurt so bad, not like the guy. That one stung. He gave me a real dirty look and he kept on giving me that look for two whole blocks. Looking back over the collar of his hounds tooth jack like I was some sort of low life degenerate. Well jokes on him--I know how to fix the handle on carry-on luggage.

I was already getting embarrassed by holding up a line because i couldnt put my luggage up the cabin! I placed it there with the handles still up 😅😂 so as not to hold the line. But tried to fix the issue with like this and it did.

This worked. I cut a piece of square from an old credit card and used it to block the hole. You saved me $80!
This happened to my friend when we checked in our luggage. Took him time of jamming it up and down till it works again. The people waiting behind looked surprised 😂

Took me 2 hours at the waiting lounge trying to fix this. After watching this video, I was able to fix it in 20 seconds! Thank you very much!
To fix, I pressed the button on the handle, and sprayed WD40 into the holes along the length of the handle. I quickly opened and closed it, so the WD40 could spread around in the interior. Now, it works!
First time I saw. Was amazed that you had a way to temporary fix. I’m going to try it out but have to ask my daughter first. It was hers. Thank you. If I try this I hope it lasts a long time. Otherwise if under warranty might be something to consider first.

Love the comments, all of whom seem to have rhino clips meant to hold open @ 25kg plus apparently weaker than a piece of folded duct tape, so good luck with that.
What if there is no zipper on the inside to expose handle ??

I didn’t even think about how my stuff inside the suitcase might have been jamming it which I think was my problem. Loosening the items a tad let me fully open the handle! 😊

Nice but I have is a SEARS Craftsmen Sit/Stand/Tote Truck, not a luggage but it has a handle. Now, I only could pull up half way up, yours is to push it down. I can push it down but it wont go all the way up. It is quite complicated. Can you help or anyone can? I do not see an screws at all. I do not know how they built like that without screwing things together. Well?

No protruding prongs, no bent tubes, button at top clicks to work - handle still won't go down and we leave at 3a :((
