Thank you Stephen for creating an excellent and informative video. I took 2 1/2 pages of notes, by using an outline format. I now have a reference point. You spoke clearly and explained things well. I will use your video as a future reference as I set out to create my first PowerPoint video for my TH-cam channel: Path of Prophecy. Thank you again!!!
Thanks for the presentation. Please what version of PowerPoint did you use? My 2013 version of PowerPoint is not giving me exactly what you have on your own version.
Thank you for great insights, I made one video after watching this. I am yet to learn more like, how do I get my own TH-cam Channel and start getting Paid
Well, I did many PP presentations for my classes & I wish I had seen your video. I learned so much here. I will be recording my class presentations so they can be more polished to upload on my youtube channel. I am hoping to find from your videos on doing youtube videos. I wish I know how to get comfortable in front of the camera :). Half the time I don't know where to look, & I get nervous in my brain the details get crossed wired so I need my notes to do a 'good' presentation, which is a problem because I don't know where the heck to have them to see them clearly & not having to move the paper around. ahhhhhhh :). Thank you for this video. I am now a fan.
Very helpful (as usual)! I've been thinking about creating some TH-cam videos and never would have considered creating one like this. I love the simplicity. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for this clear ,concise and informative video. I am looking forward to creating my very first you tube video with PowerPoint. I am a total beginner literally a novice, and would like to know how to start a you tube channel. I have Laptop with microsoft windows 10, running on 64 bit system
You may need to use an advanced tool like Camtasia or Loom. I prefer Camtasia, you can get a fully-functional free trial here: techsmith.z6rjha.net/c/1424981/489271/5161
Thanks for the great information Stephen. I'm considering converting a website to PPT to use for creating a TH-cam video, adding narration while advancing through the web pages, converted to PPT slides. Is it possible to scroll down the PPT slide during the narration before advancing to the next slide, or must the entire slide fit on the screen? I want to save the slide scrolling along with the narration as part of the presentation. Can I do that?
Awesome vid looking to make my first ever vid this weekend using power points. Only question is if I mess up or slip up taking can I go back and edit it? Or do I have to start all over?
Powerpoint may let you do this (to a degree), though I used a simple video editor (TechSmith Camtasia) to create that effect. Definitely worth it, very easy to use. If you're curious, try a trial (the paid version removes the watermark in the final video): stephenkwiecinski.com/camtasia
Thank you for the video, Maybe also interesting,I simply convert and mirror-flip existing PPT Slides using PPT Mirror tool and display them in a teleprompter and I can advance the slides with bluetooth remote, which leveled up the quality of my videos, especially talking heads.
Hey,great video.I have a querry, instead of our own voice how to we add any music if we need to play in the background. Please specify the format for the music and any sources providing free music ...Thanks.Mansi.
Thanks! Follow this process for adding audio into your slides: support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/play-music-across-multiple-slides-in-your-slide-show-b01ded6a-28c8-473a-971a-6dfa92cc9367 Use an MP3 or WAV file to get the best result. For free music, you can check out the TH-cam Studio Audio Library (go to studio.youtube.com and select Audio Library from the menu on the left). You can also try FreeMusicArchive.org and FreeSound.org for more music & sound effects.
This is very helpful, however after I created my PP, in the file section, it only gave me the regular options, eg -save, save as, print, etc. Is there some other place I should be looking to export? Also how can I add this to the end of an already published video that has a few views? I'm new to a lot of this stuff but enjoy the creativity of technology. Thanks
thanks man! this is really helpful. exactly what I need. But, do you have better tips to convert PDF into a video format? Like I'm trying to turn a book into a TH-cam videos etc. Thanks!
Hi Stephen, Thanks for your easy-to-follow video and recommendations. I gave it a try and it all worked out except for two things: 1) When I play the video, the audio is very soft even though all of my computer volume settings are on high. I am thinking that this might be because I did not use a USB microphone and so have ordered the Yeti that you recommended. Do you think that this will resolve my low audio volume playback problem? 2) When I play the video, there is a strange sound when the video transitions from one slide to the next. Is there a way to eliminate this so that my audio flows without the obvious transitions? If you can point me in the right direction, I will be most grateful. Thanks, MJ
Excellent content and guidance here! I am already much better with PP from watching this video! One issue I have is that my first PP video I did for YT is very watchable on a desktop screen but there are a significant percentage of viewers who watch YT exclusively on their smartphones. On the smartphone screen there writing is so small it is difficult to watch. If the screen is changed to landscape, the PP video is easier to read BUT it cuts off the top and sides of the video. Is there something I am doing wrong or is there a setting on smartphones to increase the screen size? Thank you.
The recorded audio is very quite during the slide transition and the interruption is clearly audible. Is there a way to make the recorded audio sound like continuous and interruptions free? I have PowerPoint 2013. Thanks!
My powerpoint slide don't want to transition automatically. I have clicked Advance Slide after two seconds and apply to all. I also have clicked automatic on set up slideshow. Any suggestions?
Thank you Stephen for this handheld guide to creating TH-cam videos on ppt. I have been wanting to start my channel for sometime now and now it seems so much easier. Bless you my friend. Cheers!
My pleasure. You should be able to add your picture to your PowerPoint slides, then present the slides and record the presentation with www.screencast-o-matic.com. Keep in mind, you're limited to 15 minutes for recording (if you want to record longer, you'll have to record separate videos OR reduce the amount of content in your presentation).
Thank you Stephen for the review why not converting and inverting PowerPoint text for iPad/smartphone and use it in a teleprompter? and switching slides using remote or pageflip pedal?
Hi Stephen, Thanks, I found this tool th-cam.com/video/wknjNwuNLkY/w-d-xo.html to mirror-flip PPT presentation slides for iPad and Immediately use in a teleprompter to lead me while speaking when I record online sales Videos, to help me keep my speech natural and Authentic on video, what do you think of this option?
Great video! Problem is I have the older version of PPT software. What version are you using? Will "Google Slide" have the same or similar function? Appreciate advice from host or anyone. Just subscribed. Thanks.
Hey D Lemon- yep, this will work with an older version of PowerPoint or with Google Slides (Slides is easier to use, IMO). Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for subscribing!
