Thanks for putting this up. Did my first upload earlier today as part of a project. Got the bright idea to look for how-to's this evening and came across your video which answered why the audio was clippy. Thanks. Another issue was that the video was showing in standard def. I'll shoot you a link privately since it's currently unlisted. Any and all feedback is welcome. Keep up the good work.
TH-cam will first process the video in SD, and then it will work to process it in HD. It could take some time. And of course the recording need to be high definition. I don't know if TH-cam considers 720 to be HD, but I know 1080 is, so if you record full screen on most monitors it will render as such on TH-cam.
The PPT screen recoded video which I have uploaded on TH-cam only shows 360p, 720p and 1080p when using smartphone but for PC/laptop its showing all the resolution. how to fix that it will show all the resolution for smartphone
Smartphones typically stream 1080 and to be honest the screens are so small that I imagine the difference between 1080 and 4k is probably imperceivably unless you're mirroring it to a bigger monitor or projector - in which case you'd probably want to do that from a computer and not a phone.
This would be perfect for people who do not have Camtasia, Zoom, or Canvas Studio! Do you think the PP to TH-cam method has benefits, even if you do have Camtasia, Zoom, or Canvas Studio?
Camtasia is how I edit my tutorials. It gives me a timeline and editing features. Canvas Studio uses the screencast-o-matic platform, which has some editing functionality but more limited. And it’s hard to edit after it has been rendered. Zoom is good for capturing a webinar or meeting in its entirety. Using PP straight to TH-cam is great for presenting a polished presentation that doesn’t need any special video edits or if you don’t specifically need an editing timeline. The advantage to Studio is that you can host the videos in a Canvas repository.
Also, it might be reasonable for someone to start in PowerPoint, modify it in Camtasia, upload it to TH-cam, and embed it into Canvas via Studio. Each tool has its unique purpose, but they can also work together. #EdTechFTW
The default widescreen size is fine. The dimensions are 16:9. TH-cam will adjust if it's a different dimension, such as 5:4, but 16:9 (i.e. 13.33" by 7.5") will look the best on monitors, phone/tablet screens, and TVs.
When you upload your video to TH-cam, you can determine if it gets monetized during the publication process. You'll need to set up AdSense through google first.
That's unfortunate. I do think the 365 version of PowerPoint is a great product, if purchasing it is ever an option. I don't eagerly give money for ed tech, but PPT is swell.
I loaded my ppt with narration but when I loaded it to youtube, I lost my audio. It's there in ppt but not when loaded. I use a MAC in google chrome. Any ideas?
It might be an issue you want to bring up on the Microsoft forums: answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/powerpoint-to-mp4-sound-missing/d594a7d7-6ea2-4309-8f95-f81829042da8. I did read on that form that Mac users were having trouble with audio, but I would hope this is something they resolved by now.

Hey i wanted to ask you one doubt and i want to clear that. I wanted to ask that how do i upload my TH-cam video with voice recording? Please clear my doubt and btw the video was great thank you for the information.
If I understand, you want to upload PowerPoint slides that have voice narration? You can record voice right onto your slides and export as an mp4 file. Or you can add voiceover using another platform such as camtasia, final cut, adobe premiere, etc., and then upload that to TH-cam. The simplest thing would be to just record the voice into PowerPoint before exporting as a video.

@@HowToCanvas filming with a logitech 1080p webcam.I look great on zoom work calls😂. Guess I just need to learn some patience. Thanks for the help.
Brilliant. I have wondered how to do this but finally took time to find out. Wow that was easy based on your instruction.
Glad it was helpful!
Which version power point software is this.. Because in my version I am not getting save option in mp4.
Please resolve it
I use the Office365 version, but any version since PowerPoint 2013 can save as mp4. A wmv file will also work.

So glad!
I came across your video . Just wanted to ask do we need any licensing to upload PowerPoint. Videos on TH-cam.
The PowerPoint platform is intended to be used professionally. You can use it for personal, educational, and business purposes.
Hello I love your videos What Screen Recorder You Recording Please Tell me
I use Camtasia mostly to record my screen. Sometimes screencast-o-magic or a Canvas Studio.

The video is good. But you have not said the size of the slide needs to be optimized for YT.

Very good clip without any razzmatazz. Thnx.

I have the free version of power point that came with my computer. It doesn't have all these options that are on your screen.

But how do you do it on mobile?
Are you able to save slides as video on a phone? That's not something I've explored but I would be surprised if it's not a feature.
