+Johnny G Its because Tim Cain the original creator of the Fallout series was involved in making this game. I wish the poor guy would have been supported by larger companies to make more games. I dont know why he was not hired to help to make Fall out 3....Seems the business didnt give him due respect.
do people actually min/max in these games, i usually just pick whatever is appealing to me as i usually role-play in rpgs

ViralInfekT You can add in custom portraits. There's a huge amount of them available, look for Pillars of Eternity portraits on google.

This game is getting amazing reviews from RPG fans. If you're gunna judge negatively from one little vid then you don't deserve to play it anyway.

AsterSea Divinity was an excellent game, it took it's world and narrative in a self-aware, humorous manner, and the combat was all about the way elements combined.
Pillars is a lot more serious in tone. The world is a LOT more fleshed out with lore oozing out of every crevice. The writing is frankly leagues better than in Divinity, in terms of world development, lore, characters and narrative. The combat mechanics are also a lot deeper. This is basically a spiritual successor to BG2. Divinity is no such thing, and was never trying to be.

Everything I read from the devs says, there's no min/max (thought)needed. Just "hit random" and have fun. babies first crpg
gaurd3 That's not really the case. They've made a system that creates an array of viable builds by limiting things like dump stats in other games. The challenge and the fun comes in creating and maximizing all these builds. You still have to play to the strengths of your build, or you won't succeed.
Of course, I was just being a little facetious. Just that for me, true cRPGs is min/maxing and owning the result of what you create. I know the temperature for those games have changed. Sill going to check this out when its on sale.

i Granot It is the complete opposite of unoriginal or uninspired. This game's world is something I haven't seen the likes off since Planescape: Torment. It's rich with lore, it dishes up some great set piece combat, addicting narrative. It really does leave behind just about any other RPG I've played in the past decade.
