for my budget I can buy a new DJI RS3 mini with a smallrig underslung handle or a Weebill 3s Basic Edition (yeah it's weird that the price for both option is same here in Indonesia)

Should I buy this Gimbal or the DJI RS3?
when you have it on pov mode for examble , can you push the trigger button to switch to lock mode for the time that you pushing it ,
and when releasing it, the trigger button ,can came back at pov mode again autocaticaly ??
You know , for use lock mode just for some seconds and going back at main selected mode instantly ,like Dji s gimbals ...
Weebill s doent doing that and i sold it for that !

I’ve watched almost every comparison videos between dji&zhiyun and this is the most objective&trustable one that I came up to! Idk why but somehow every other gimbal review videos seemed like sponsored but not this one. Thank you!

What are your thoughts on getting the weebill 3s or getting the Weebill 2 combo while it's still on sale for $299 for my first gimbal?
It dosen't really matter which one of the two you would chose. You wont get anything better in the weebill 3s. I personlay like the Weebill 2 better. i have a recent video about chocing gimbals.
Great review as always. Will stick to my RSC 2 that is still serving me well. The only thing I don’t like about it is that the controls are not fully compatible and that they don’t work together with face autofocus, which is probably more a Sony issue. Other than that it is still great.

lets say the gimbal isnt compatible with your camera, can it still stabilize my footage and can i still move it left and right and up and down on the joystick on the gimbal? bc i dont really need the record button on the gimbal i just need it to stabilize my video and if i can move it left and right and up and down
Great video! Is there a way to mount a Ninja V to the 3S gimbal? I don’t see any mounting points built into the frame.
No you can not mount a monitor on the gimbal only on the handle. In my oppinoin is it a deal breaker.

I bought the 1st gen weebill, and it is wobbling like crazy. 😂
Still using my legendary zhiyun crane 2 until now.
Best stable gimbal ever.
The crane 2 is legendary, but i sold it to buy this Weebil 3s, for the vertical bonus and the side/back handle and, less but still, the tiny light that can help on some jobs.
I also thinks that Crane 2 has some positions that he just cant handle well and shake a little on this positions
Is it possible to balance sony a6400 with the 16-50mm kitlens or it will be too light for the 3s?

Love your videos, always enjoy watching and learning. However, zhiyun couldn't PAY ME to use one of there gimbal ever again. Between build quality, lack of customer service and frustration with my weebill s and a7iv. I went with DJI rs3 pro combo, the experience could be summarized by saying.....never again.
nice review! I don't understand why the weebill 3s start to be a powerbank to my camera when battery is low... how can i change this setting?

Weebill3S compatible with more cameras and support with Bluetooth Shutter control for some item cameras. And it also bulit in the fill light. But Weebill3S not support directly replace the battery like weebills, you can base on your actual need to choose.
Hi Peter, your reviews are amazing. I was recently about to buy the DJI RS3, but the Weebill 3S came out. Would you advise saving some money or buying the DJI directly? Is it really worth spending that extra money?

Sorry I do not know why.. I don't have the GH5 any more so I can't test it for you
I loved the first Weebill because it was compact and performed really well. Then DJI did their homework and took it to a whole new level. Now seeing ZhiYun's variations with it's flaws (and a beach bag?? loll), and their marketing of pushing to sell old models when two new new models are out, they need to do more research and creator feedback. Glad you're back Peter, refreshing to see a review that's not teeter tottering between more good and less bad to maintain future sponsorships.
Which DJI model are you referring to when you say they took the compact design to a new level?
In my opinion Weebill evolution timeline looks like this Weebill (poor as hell) Weebill S (tiny and very good) Weebill 2 (stronger motors better build quality,worse battery lifetime, but overall very nice and reliable gimbal) I went through 3 generations of this equipment and stopped at Weebill 2 i think it is a best from whole Weebill family.
It's too early though. Wait another 12 more months and let's see what problems pop up just like the Weebil S
