This is my first gimbal and this is hands down one of the best tutorials I've ever watched. Super clear but easy explained. Was able to set it up in a couple of minutes!
I unboxed my Weebill and as soon as I saw how small the instruction book was printed, I immediately looked up a tutorial. Thanks for this, it was very easy to follow.
Okay, here's a story: so this is my first gimbal, and I'm really struggling with balancing. I watched EVERY tutorial out there, and I couldn't get it right. I was going crazy, getting SO frustrated ripping my hair out. And then I found your tutorial. Your little words of encouragement at 5:58 were honestly so helpful - I took your advice, set it down and walked away for a bit. Anyways, now I have a perfectly balanced gimbal, and I can't wait to start shooting. Thank you so much for this helpful tutorial!! I will definitely be returning to watch when I need to balance my other cameras. Cheers x
Jessi Quinlan Same thing happened to me lol I got mine last night and was so frustrated. I had to put it down and watch some more videos until one made sense. How has your shooting been so far? I’m thinking I may ride to the beach to test it out.
True story, got my first gimbal (Weebill Lab S) yesterday as well and I was highly frustrated as I struggled to balance my Sony A7III. Watched several videos until I found this excellent one. So I also took his advice and let the gimbal rest... When I came back from lunch and a walk, my gimbal was set up perfectly right! Thanks brownies! 😉 Excellent video thank you!
This was the simplest & easiest to follow tutorial for this. I love how you explained WHY you’re doing what you’re doing. Thanks a lot! You’re a good teacher.
im a stills guy, my friend bought me this as a thank you for photographing his wedding. I need to take some video soon and your tutorial was a great help. Thank you
Nice man! I've been struggling to get this balanced for an hour. I decided to just bite the bullet and watch your 12 minute tutorial, and I'm so glad I did haha.
Great video, dude. This is by far the best quick set up video out there on how to get started with the Weebill S. Thank you for saving me a bunch of time and hassle.
Thank you so much! By far the most helpful setup on this gimble I’ve seen so far. I even watched all the ads in full, just to show appreciation for your time and effort in putting this together :). Cheers mate
finally someone who showed how it works with the plate.. and i really had fun "banalcing" with you, it was really helpful and helped me with frustration
I came here as a last result. Other videos moved through too fast or missed setup steps and your video was/is A plus. You saved me a trip to Bestbuy to swap this gimbal for a different brand. Great video and nicely articulated.
I first watched your video of the Crane 2 a couple years ago, and once again I’m back for the Weebill S. Both videos are excellent. Thanks for the tutorial 👍
Honestly when I first watched this I thought it wasn’t good. Now I find myself coming back to it all of the time, thank you for this great video- ur awesome!
Thank you so much for creating a video that simply made sense... for the 1st time ever I was able to successfully balance my gimbal on the first go around. And believe me I've tried many times following other videos and your video just clicked with me and was easy to understand. Thank you!!!
It's the best tutorial, even way better than the official Zhiyun one. Question: i have just unboxed my Weebill S and I have a Z6ii with F mount lenses (paired through FTZII), do I need to buy the focus motor? Thanks
Hello, Masher. For Nikon Z6ii, we suggest that you can buy a zoom/focus motor. This is our zoom/focus motor description, you can click here: store.zhiyun-tech.com/collections/accessories-for-weebill-s/products/transmount-focus-zoom-control-motor-2-0
this tutorial is much better than the official version. zhiyun should be ashamed lol. thanks man you explained it so well i didnt even need to rewatch as a first time user
Great advice on taking a break. I swear right when you said that, I felt like throwing my gimble out the window. Lol. This video is excellent. Thank you for being so thorough.
Can I tell you that I clicked on 3 other gimbal balance videos before coming across this one? Thank you for walking us through the setup, it really helped. My m6 is rocking and ready!
This looks like it's going to be a nice easy to follow tutorial but I'm going to pause you right there at 2:42 as I'm starving and have to go make my dinner. Then I'm going to have a few drinks to celebrate getting my gimbal today, yay! I'll hit play and follow the tutorial tomorrow when I'm sober if that's ok lol :-)
Just got one yesterday for my G85. I put an entire soft top replacement on my Jeep quicker than I got this thing fully assembled and set up. It was frustrating lol Good to know it is easier with time.
When i got this gimbal for the first time i was so tired to balance it cause it already seems like so difficult but now i can say that with practice i can balance it in 10 seconds without problems. So if you are angry about this, that's totaly normal you're not stupid, you have to practice to be more comfortable and don't forget watching more setup videos to get the thing fastly.
This is the best tutorial to balance your camera on the weebil s😭😭 thank you so much. I skipped the flipping the camera upwards part. But this video helped
I keep getting axis lock. Are you supposed to lock the axis when you calibrate? I've tried both ways. I have a sony a6400 using the kit lens. Could it be the camera is too light?
When the gimbal is on, you need to turn off all of axis locks to make sure every axis is removable state. If yes, I think you need to check whether you manually balance the gimbal well before you turn on it.
Thanks for this tutorial. I've had this gimbal for 2 months and thought I was balancing it correctly. Apparently not. My batteries would last closer to 3-4 hours rather than 10-12, assuming the motors were working overtime for my poorly balanced set-up. Eager to try this out now with everything perfect.
Great video! Very informative. 2 things tho. It’s Zhiyun Labs Weebil S and that plate that you’re sliding back and forth to take your camera off has a quick release plate that comes off so you don’t have to rip it all the way out. Happy filming 👍🏻
These is my second gimbal I've had a moza air for about three or four years, but just not giving me what I want and I believe this little one will give me a better work load and easier.
If the gimbal isn’t staying in place at the end how do you suggest we fix it? My camera lens is facing front and it looks balanced but when I move it into different positions it doesn’t stick like how yours is staying in place. Please help 🥹
Hey I just bought this gimbal today and with your help I managed to perfectly balance it. Thanks for explaining it so good. I am looking forward to try it outside in the nature for my projects😊
Solid video - I had put my Weebil down for a little bit and needed to break it out again and needed to figure out how to get it working again. You got me there. Minor suggestion is that you go a little slower as you rotate the gimbal around. Had to rewatch a few times to figure out what knob you were turning, but got there!.
Really helped. I got the arrrrrr **** gimbals! then like magic after a break finally got the pan axis balanced. Thought it was impossible!?! Thank you for making this vid!!
Well done. A couple of bits I'd add are: The table knife wasn't adequate to tighten the screw, so the camera twisted on the mount during setup. I know you were trying to keep the demo quick, but a new user should make sure the mount is firmly tightened. Configure your camera as you will use it, meaning remove the lens cap, install the hood, install filters, and mount any accessories you plan to use. And related to that, if you change your lens or camera's configuration, you need to re-balance. Zooming (and focusing on some lenses) will throw off balance. If you plan to zoom while using the gimbal, balance to the midpoint in your zoom's extension. The gimbal can handle some change of CG during use, but try to keep changes in lens extension minimal.
Just earned yourself a sub. I've just bought this as my first gimbal. Bit nervous about putting it together. Very reassuring and friendly video. Thanks man. I'll look forward to checking out more from your channel.
great! i just get weebill s...i came from ronin sc and i have a question... if i shoot at pov or go mode and i want instantly to lock on a subject for some seconds and then pov again, how i do that? i mean , at the ronin i was just pushing the trigger and locks, here trigger is to follow... how i do that??
Wow. what a useful video. i watch lots of videos about balancing the weebill s, but nobody telling like you. Now i balanced my gimbal perfectly. Thanks for all.
So I revered back to using my weebill s. I've had the ronin, rs2, rs3. They're all great but too heavy for traveling. I just like the underslung mode and ergo on the Weebill S. I wish Zhiyun would make a Weebill S2 with the same frame or smaller but can handle more payload so I can put a my basecamp mattebox. Might have to give the RS2 mini a shot though and see how it handles
Great tutorial. I got it balanced so that it doesn’t move when I tilt it in every direction but when I turn it on it spins out of control… not sure what to do
Fantastic tutorial. Thank you very much. You assume no prior knowledge of gimbles, which is extremely helpful and your delivery is completely ego (bullsh*t) free. Magic..
You can purchase the Weebill Lab S on Amazon: amzn.to/374Ev8I
good video bro

Not going to lie, I skipped this tutorial, went around, only to realize this is by far the best one. Thanks a lot!

Agreed!

Excellent video thank you!
I was about to post this exact same comment at this time stamp, glad that I am not the only one who was going through this!
actually after 4 years this video really helped me and i could balance my weebill s, thanks for amazing video 😊
Please help me it says axis lock and I don’t know it but I balanced like this
Thank you. Great video. You saved me from throwing that thing against the wall! Frustrating doesn't t cut it
This was the simplest & easiest to follow tutorial for this. I love how you explained WHY you’re doing what you’re doing. Thanks a lot! You’re a good teacher.
I came here for the instructions on the Crane M2, now back for the Weebill. Thanks for the videos
This is by far the BEST balancing video I've ever seen on the Weebil S. Great job!!
I’ve had this Gimbal for about 2 years and never messed with it because I got so frustrated. This tutorial was so simple, thanks for the upload!
im a stills guy, my friend bought me this as a thank you for photographing his wedding. I need to take some video soon and your tutorial was a great help. Thank you
Best tutorial I have ever watched amazing
This tutorial is way better than the Zhiyun sponsored one. Thank you!

Probably the best tutorial for a weebill s, follow this exactly, and you cannot go wrong, got my gh5 with 25 mm prime setup perfectly!!!
This video helped a lot!! Thank you from New Zealand. I did it years ago and came back to this video because I forgot and it helped me!
I bought this today and watched this tutorial. Thank you so much for saving me a whole lot of trouble!
I came here as a last result. Other videos moved through too fast or missed setup steps and your video was/is A plus. You saved me a trip to Bestbuy to swap this gimbal for a different brand. Great video and nicely articulated.

Dude your tutorial is much much better than the sponsored and provided by the Zhiyun itself! Greetings from Indonesia!
terima kasih!
WOWOWOW Finally someone that explains it like a PRO!!! Thanks Man!!!
Thank you so much!! You are the only one to explain the center of gravity part, which is CRUCIAL!!
The only tutorial on weebill s that has worked for me after skimming through dozens
I know this is probably an old gimbal by now, but it’s now my first, and this video has been great to get me setup quickly and going. Cheers 👍
It's the best tutorial, even way better than the official Zhiyun one.

Nicely explained the basic setup which almost every TH-camr misses. Thanks a lot for this video.
this tutorial is much better than the official version. zhiyun should be ashamed lol.
thanks man you explained it so well i didnt even need to rewatch as a first time user
This was hands down the most detailed setup video - I've watched so many trying to set up my gimbal and this won! Thank you!!!
Great advice on taking a break. I swear right when you said that, I felt like throwing my gimble out the window. Lol. This video is excellent. Thank you for being so thorough.
Finally someone who speaks slowly and clearly. Great communication mate, thank you 🙏🙏😊💪
you have done the best job so far of anyone explaining the setup of the Weebill S.
Can I tell you that I clicked on 3 other gimbal balance videos before coming across this one? Thank you for walking us through the setup, it really helped. My m6 is rocking and ready!

How this 100^100 times better than Zhiyun's Official tut?
Amazing job.
I've watched a lot of videos on balancing this particular gimble, and this is the BEST!
Great to hear!
This is the best tutorial to balance your camera on the weebil s😭😭 thank you so much. I skipped the flipping the camera upwards part. But this video helped
First time gimball user here. You are a godsend.
Perfectly explained and demonstrated👍🏻 Thanks!
I am always having trouble with the first set up because I did not know abou CENTER GRAVITY and now you show it to me. Amazing to see this vudeo
You made it so much easier than trying to follow the manual, thanks!
Great video! Esp the part about getting frustrated in the middle, definitely related to that. This video is way better than that Zhiyun put out
Thanks for this tutorial. I've had this gimbal for 2 months and thought I was balancing it correctly. Apparently not. Thank you, you made getting our Weebill S and Sony 6600 going in 12 minutes! Great video dude!
Thank you for taking the time to make this video and help us all gimbal-newbies out there. Much love from Brazil.
I followed many videos and i end up with a red face , i followed your steps i finished it in no time , thanks man 🙌🏻
Liked , subscribed ♥️🙌🏻
thank you for watching :)
Thank you :) I just purchased this gimbal. You made the set up and balance easy. Much appreciated
This was life saving, thank you so much. You saved me hours of struggle!
It's crazy how normal it is to get frustrated with a gimble you're first time. Good to know you're not alone with the ish!
Thanks a lot for this video, i tried mine some minutes ago here from Russia and almost decided to sell but your video has made me think others.
Thanks a lot! Your video is the best. I didn't find as clear video in russian as your's)) No one explane's so clear. 1 hour and gimlble is ready.
Excellent. Almost gave up. You saved a return. Thank You.
Thank you so much for explaining it easily. I have watched several videos and this one was the best
Thanks for this, much clearer than Zhiyun’s instruction video!

Hey I just bought this gimbal today and with your help I managed to perfectly balance it. Thanks for explaining it so good. I am looking forward to try it outside in the nature for my projects😊
What is everything that the little cable that connects to your camera do? It doesn’t fit mine so I would have to buy another one but what dose it do?
Solid video - I had put my Weebil down for a little bit and needed to break it out again and needed to figure out how to get it working again. You got me there. Minor suggestion is that you go a little slower as you rotate the gimbal around. Had to rewatch a few times to figure out what knob you were turning, but got there!.
this is factually the best video on this
Thanks, man. That's a great video. Better than the video on the Zhiyun channel!
i fell in love with it before hand but even more so after this set up! goated lasting video
Came back to setup after forgetting... Weebill was close to being thrown
This video really helps me a lot in understanding to setup gimbal in overall youtube.
thanks for watching :)
SO helpful! Very detailed step-by-step. Thank you!!!
You are amazing, thank you so much !
Really helped. I got the arrrrrr **** gimbals! then like magic after a break finally got the pan axis balanced. Thought it was impossible!?! Thank you for making this vid!!
Excellent tutorial. I learned much more from this one than any other on TH-cam. Thanks much, Evan. Great job!

thank you for the tips!
That’s the beauty of electronic zoom where the lens does not extend when using a gimbal.
Entirely too many ads for a 12 minute video but super helpful! Thank you.
This is the definition of a good video
Evan YOU ARE AWESOME....
THANK YOU FOR THIS VALUABLE LESSON
.........................................................SUBSCRIBED
Any reason why my camera does not charge through the gimbal?
it might be the make of your camera
cant get the balance to sit right on the camera facing upwards step bc the videomic pro on top is too big! haha
Just earned yourself a sub. I've just bought this as my first gimbal. Bit nervous about putting it together. Very reassuring and friendly video. Thanks man. I'll look forward to checking out more from your channel.
at 6:45 "now when I put the gimbal back down" I have no idea what you did, but other people seem to have gotten so I must be slow
great! i just get weebill s...i came from ronin sc and i have a question...
if i shoot at pov or go mode and i want instantly to lock on a subject for some seconds and then pov again, how i do that?
i mean , at the ronin i was just pushing the trigger and locks, here trigger is to follow...
how i do that??
I almost threw mine away bro… this video helped me out so much i appreciate you
Best weebill S setup video I've watched thank you!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Defenitely the best explanations ! Thanks a lot !! 🙏🏿🙏🏿👌🏿👌🏿
Great tutorial. I watched three, this being my third. This was the best one 👍. Ty
Wow. what a useful video. i watch lots of videos about balancing the weebill s, but nobody telling like you. Now i balanced my gimbal perfectly. Thanks for all.
You are welcome!
I find the lens support helps secure the whole camera/lens system by being a second point of contact. Useful even with a small lens.
Great tutorial! Better than the others ones I’ve watched. Actually learned something
thanks for watching Sage!
I concur...thank you..
#Heavensent
My Weebill S is vibrating like crazy.
I've balanced my camera perfectly.
My camera is a Panasonic Lumix G7. Is that too light perhaps?
Go into customs and lower the strength. Unfortunately the system doesn't save the settings and you have to do it every single time.
@@dashcarproductions901 Yeah, I figured that out after a while. Annoying, but other than that the Weebill is great.
Protect this mans life at any cost!
Great explanation, thank you. I have had this for a while but haven't gotten into it because of the learning curve. Thanks again.
So I revered back to using my weebill s. I've had the ronin, rs2, rs3. They're all great but too heavy for traveling. I just like the underslung mode and ergo on the Weebill S. Very, very helpful. I'm totally new to working with a gimbal, this made it easy. Thanks a lot.
Magic..
