The new Mountfield model has a fabric bag instead of a solid box which i preferred being more hard wearing. The problem I found was the roller kept splitting apart on my bumpy lawn, a common problem reading reviews. Also there is a weakspot in the design with the handle bars where they join onto the chasis. They attach to a piece of plastic that is screwed onto the chasis which could come lose when lifting, where most other lawn mowers use a bolt that threads through the body & tightened with wing nuts. The 34" corded lawnmower i bought is the Gardena Powermax 34 / 1400w with a 40litre plastic grass box. No mulching plug but its a good budget model for small lawns.
Hi, thanks for your feedback. What Mountfield mower are you referring to? Yes there are several manufactures that use the grub screw to secure the bars to the chassis. I will take a look at the Gardena Powermax 34. Thanks Mark
@@EasyLawnMowing The new Mountfield Princess range, same power / motor design as far as i know but comes with a fabric grass box instead of a solid plastic box. It may have been a bit fiddly to put together but at least it's more hard wearing than fabric which is the common trend for most brands unfortunately. If you look up on A/z > 'Mountfield Princess 38 Electric Lawnmower, 38cm cutting width, 1600W' you will see images of the mower pulled apart showing the weakness point where the handles join.
@@EasyLawnMowing No, the review should be completely impartial (no steering towards any affiliate links or sponsors), must be a brand available in the UK, but looking for something with 1) 20mm minimum cutting height 2) lowest weight 3) build quality 4) Must be corded. LOL, so not asking much
Take a look at the Cobra GTRM40 electric mower. easylawnmowing.co.uk/cobra-gtrm40-review/ Stock is low or out everywhere of the range of Cobra mowers. Thanks Mark
Apologies, here is my video review of the LawnMaster 34cm. Has the 20mm low cut height and is lightweight. What is the size of your lawn? For larger lawns perhaps the larger 40cm deck would be better. Hi. Have you ever used the Black + Decker 42cm Corded Rotary Lawnmower - 1800W and if yes, what do you think of it?
No I haven't - I will try to get hold of a used model so I can do a review. I have not heard anything negative about B+D mowers though. Thanks Mark
Hi Mark have you come across any McGregor cordless lawnmowers I’ve got my eye on the 37cm cut at £160 at Argos
No, I have not tested one so can't really comment on performance and build quality.
Thanks
@@EasyLawnMowing thanks for the reply. I’ve settled on a Greenworks 24V 33cm Cordless Lawnmower & 25cm Line Trimmer bundle while it’s on offer 👍
Can you do a video on the Lightest Corded 20mm Cutting height Lawnmower?
Did you have any particular mower brand in mind?
