      I got the Project Scorpio Edition of the Xbox One X and I gotta say, Adam is totally correct all my old games that are backwards compatible look and run way better than ever before! And all the multiplats look the best on here on my 75 inch 4K TV! Love it! I've ALWAYS supported Xbox since the beginning! I don't care that PS4 is winning and Xbox is losing because I never got a PS4 even though I have the other consoles predecessors. I like that Xbox is trying to get all these niche groups by rolling out all these different features that Playstation isn't even caring about! Thanks for another great video Adam, keep up the great work, and BTW it was great to meet you this past E3 in LA!!!

    The great thing MS has done is the backwards compatibility program. And now they are doing it with the OG Xbox games as well. Because it's X86 architecture, the Xbox Scarlet will more than likely have all these games from 3 generations of hardware instantly backwards compatible on that new system as well. And by that time the game library will be huge!

    • @doomstasche5768
      @doomstasche5768 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Instant library of OVER 4000 GAMES!!! YEAH, I looked on Wikipedia and I didn't even include the XBLA games.

    • @NiGHTS1980
      @NiGHTS1980 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, I think MS know that backwards compatibility is important for gamers and each generation has hundreds, sometimes thousands of games that many people miss out on. A lot of these gamers have since sold their old consoles to get the new ones. To be able to continue to play those legacy games on current gen hardware is a big positive. Not only that, MS has gone the extra mile and have increased the performance on a lot of the titles.

    • @TheKeithvidz

      Backwards compatibility is useful to some but personally I feel like I've played all those games if I wanted to play them again it would have to be a current gen remaster I get that some people like it and has its uses I just don't see it as a huge selling point

  • @thecarrotmonster8827
    @thecarrotmonster8827 5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Have to admit, I've held off on Red Dead 2 purely because I'm gunning for a 4k tv and a Xbox 1 X on Black Friday and want to play it in 4k on a bigger screen. This is from a die hard PlayStation guy who loves his ps4 and who's first ever console was the ps1. I just can't justify the ps4 Pro, it doesn't do enough over the OG ps4. It's a slightly sharper picture, and that's about it. Playstation took a step forward but Xbox took a leap, probably because they had to

  • @theprfesssor

    I bought the PS4 first this generation then I got a xb1 about a year later, now a all these years later I can say the PS4 was by far the better for me
    Xbox UI is windows based and still doesn't run great and is much more complex then the PS4's UI the Dualshock 4 is the best controller I've ever used has the best d-pad and front bumpers ever and doesn't have AA batteries nonsense
    Xbox's largest problem though is it now shares all it's exclusives with Windows PC's, I bought it for it's exclusives Halo,Gears, and Forza bought a launch model xb1 then a couple months later they announced the S,X and sharing games with PC's at E3 2016......real bummer and most of Microsoft's IP this generation have been subpar especially compared to what PlayStation has been offering
    Overall the Xbox is a decent console they really turned it around quite a bit, just when it's compared to its main competition it looks really lacking let's hope they can make it competitive again next-gen

      Microsoft making the decision to bring Xbox games over to PC was a big decision and it's good because they had the consumer in mind. They knew that it would make Xbox more inferior because now it won't have any true exclusives, but they did it mainly because they want to improve the overall public and consumer view of the Xbox brand itself. They even brought Halo to PC, Halo practically made the Xbox brand, that was a big move by Microsoft and it really shows what their intentions are.

  • @dravenlee4473
    @dravenlee4473 5 ปีที่แล้ว +52

    The Xbox One X is an excellent console but it's problem as has always been the case with Microsoft is exclusives. If you have a gaming PC or even if you don't, there's just not a reason to own both a PS4 or an Xbox unless you really care about Gears or Halo. I look at my PS4 collection and I have 20+ excellent exclusive titles that I can't play anywhere else. I look at my Xbox and I have...none.
    I try to get multi-plats on Xbox and exclusives on PS4 just to give it a purpose other than being a 4K UHD player. Still, I wish Microsoft would invest in some serious exclusives as Sony is destroying them in that department. Hardware wise, they've nailed it.

      the thing is though Microsoft is not just Xbox they are also Windows and People have been going after them for years for not backing pc for real
      but in the 360 days some games never came to pc gears 2 and beyond halo 2 and beyond fable 2 and so on never came to pc i have to disagree With another thing you said as well even if you do not own a pc there is no reasont to get an Xbox one there you totally do i feel because then you got loads of stuff not found on the other consoles and With ps now from sony is getting the abillity to download games some ps4 i might add its getting kinda Muddy on both sides

    • @ThePreciseClimber
      @ThePreciseClimber 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It's a shame because this wasn't always the case. The Original Xbox & Xbox 360 (during the first few years) had plenty of neat exclusives.
      They really should've stuck to their OG Xbox strategy. Aka just invest in proper exclusives.

    • @dravenlee4473
      @dravenlee4473 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      One thing that would really help is if they made EVERY Xbox game that you buy compatible with both PC and the Xbox One. Games like Assassin's Creed, I have to pick and choose if I want to play them on PC or console. I almost always default to PC because I can get better performance. If I can buy the game on Xbox and get to play it on both PC or the console itself, that eliminates that problem and almost makes Microsoft a valid competitor to Steam.

    • @whiteknight5100
      @whiteknight5100 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it's important to point out that while an Xbox One isn't necessary to play Microsoft's games, it is still a valid option particularly for those who prefer the console ecosystem. The idea here is that Microsoft is giving options. And while exclusives are important for PS4 and Switch, I think Microsoft only needs console exclusives because the Windows player base is entirely too big to ignore. Sony and Nintendo (other than the aging 3ds) don't have a secondary platform that they need to support.

    x360 was succesful because sony dropped the ball AND because of piracy.
    most of the world is not the first world where buying original games is not a problem. in places like latin america the console that wins is the one that has the cheapest games.
    ps1, ps2 and x360 were big because you could buy pirated copies on the streets for a few bucks while the original legal ones at the store were too expensive, like "if I buy this I won't be able to pay the rent", and that's IF you could find a store that sold original games.
    edit: by the way, I wouldn't support EVER a console with no phisical media. I HATE DIGITAL ONLY STUFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

      looks that this gen the switch gonna be the piracy choice

    • @bonfingertip
      @bonfingertip 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I wouldn't actually call even big time sales in piracy-only countries a success. Sure, the devices sell well. But the main income source for a console manufacturer is games sold. And the systems themselves often cost not more than their production costs, or even less. In any case, not profitable at all, if people don't buy games either.

  • @Supersayainpikmin
    @Supersayainpikmin 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    It's amazing how well they turned this system around. Before it's release and a couple months in, it was gearing up to be one of the worst major home consoles of all time. Now, it's actually a really good console. I personally don't own one still, but looking in from the outside, it looks pretty good now. It has virtually no exclusives, and you have to buy the updated one to get the better multi platform games, but other than that, it's competent and Microsoft deserves a shit ton of credit for turning it around.

    MS under the leadership of Satella, Spencer, and Booty will continue to have a "comical" exclusive problem due to their insistence on releasing every one of their "exclusives" under the UWP umbrella. They have absolutely no faith that their software will be console sellers and this UWP nonsense is the band-aid to that. I disagree that this will be fixed with the Scarlett.

  • @josephskelton772

    Have always been a PlayStation guy since the PS2 days... got PS3 so missed on Xbox 360... and was almost going to get PS4 way back in 2014 until they announced the Master Chief Collection on Xbox One and I was like I have to get it! It's been 4 years on my Old Xbox One and it still got it! Plays Forza Horizon 4, a game which came out like last month without any hiccups! For a system came out in 2013 to run a 2018 game... and trust my PS4 (2015 model) struggles to run most of the latest games without any flaws!

    Sony sold the most consoles this gen, had some truly great exclusives, but I have to say I prefer the XBox One X over any PS4 or Pro. Game Pass, Backwards Compatibility, and better performing/looking cross platform games. Handful of great Sony exclusives or a metric ton of good games on the cheap? xBox One X with Game Pass is the best value in gaming right now, its awesome.

    Both mid-console upgrades are pointless. If it’s too powerful, it defeats the purpose due to the other models, if not enough power, what’s the point? Even for newcomers, it would suck to have a more powerful console just to have it bottlenecked by the other models.
    With the XBOX games, I say they came out with casual games like “sea of thieves” which should have been advertised differently to be on the same page.

  • @thepoliticalstartrek

    I think a big difference with the latest announcements is S and above will be able to play X series games. I have a friend who is a production manager for MS. According to him on the back end they have been tweaking Direct X so that a game developed for X series will be able to downgrade to S or X levels. So developers only have to develop one version of the game and let the console do the downgrade. This is the only major advantage X Box has over PS4.

  • @Hobojo153

    All digital is possible considering they're releasing a cheaper Xbox One that is. Plus it makes more sense now, considering you want to buy Xbox games digitally so you get the PC version too.

    Adam you talk a LOT about exclusives. Do you really play all those exclusives on PS4? Even the obscure Japanese hentai stuff ? Cause when you look the list of most selling PS4 games there a lot of Call of duty and FIFA games. Exclusives on the other hand... Not that much.... I mean if you don't really play all/most of the exclusives why demand for it ? My friends say they love Sony exclusives but their PSN ID is full of Cod, NBA and Fortine trophies. They don't even bought Spider man besides they say is a great game

  • @bonesjackson81
    @bonesjackson81 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    A simple thing would be to make a MLB game. I believe the exclusivity prohibits 3rd paty games not keeping Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo from making their own. Its a small thing but I do know people that went ps4 simply because of baseball. They had a good thing going with XSN but quit on it years ago. Bring it back. Cater to sports gamers. Clearly they can't make original games so sports is a way into exclusives in a different way.

    There's two franchises that, if they went exclusive, I would have to buy an Xbox, very much against my will. Cyberpunk 2077 and Hitman. The latter is supposedly a possibility, since IOI isn't in the greatest of health as an independent studio and Hitman 2 sales have been low, so MS could theoretically just buy them outright.
    I actually expect 2019 to be really uneventful for gaming, save for PS5 and XboxTwo being announced around a year from now. This generation's winding down, but the next isn't yet ready to begin.

    It's going to be a lot harder for Microsoft to get another "360" advantage since Sony is now using off the shelf tech unlike the PS3's GPU. What Microsoft needs to focus on is dev tools that makes it so easy for devs to make or port games while still keeping backwards compatibility. Most importantly, have a bunch of exclusive games ready and say 3 "Halo" Marys before going to bed.

    More a Sony Fan to be honest but recently I enjoy playing Third party games on it. The 4k upcscale feature of the One S is really a nice thing. The only problem MS has at the moment that they have not enough exclusive titles in their sleeves. I do not think that the last year of the Xbox one S will change that. But maybe the Xbox scarlett will have more exlusive titles that are not a Halo or a Gears of War.

  • @renovatedmars3555
    @renovatedmars3555 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    As cool as Project Scarlett releasing next year would be, I don’t see it happening with the rumor that’s been floating around for about a week. Supposedly an all-digital $150 or cheaper Xbox One will release next year with a program that lets people trade in their discs for digital codes. If this is the case, I think Xbox is trying to get people ready for Project Scarlett having a digital focus. They could also use this console as a test to see how much people do care about physical media. Then, when the Scarlett comes out 2020, they release a digital-only version of it that is much cheaper than the PS5. If there are two versions coming out like you said, maybe they’ll also have a disc drive in the second version of the console for collectors and the used game crowd. I think they realize they need that physical media version of the Scarlett to “win” against PS5 because many people like to sell their games, and they don’t want a repeat of the Xbox One where people were very angry that they couldn’t sell their games at first.

    I bought Xbox One S on black Friday as a media player since I don't have a smart TV yet not as a gaming console. But I am disappointed my 4TB Expansion Seagate External HDD read only once and failed to read again as a media device. I have tons of movies to watch there but I can't get it to open, I should have bought an NVIDIA Shield but it didn't have a DVD player. I hope they fix this because I have no use for it.

    Xbox two won't release without a great launch line up from Microsoft's new studio acquisitions and those games are still at least a year to 18 months away. I think both ps5 and Xbox will release in 2020 with Xbox being first and cheaper. I think Microsoft will absorb a loss on its new console and they can afford to where as Sony can't.
    One worrying rumour I heard about ps5 was a new Sony patent for a touchscreen controller which will drive up units costs considerably and could be Sony's kinect moment. Force bundling an expensive gimmick gamers neither want or desire which impacts battery life.

    Sony not trying to rock the boat? They're doing the very definition of that with their new censorship policy brought about this year, ruffling a ton of feathers. I have no doubt the PS5 is gonna be dead in the water in Japan (along with japanophiles elsewhere) from this, seeing as Sony is no longer a Japanese company. Microsoft and Nintendo are very much gonna be my platforms of choice next gen, if I even end up participating in next gen.

    Honestly, the moment both parties decide to bow out of the Hardware game (if ever) I hope they release, lastly, the "PlayStation" and the "Xbox". Give us access to the Stores to access our Digital Games/DLC (plus Patches of course which we'd need for PS3/360 Games Onwards) and it has FULL Backwards Compatability with all the Generations... Basically an up to date, all in one Machine as a final hoorah... Though at that point they may as well (and most likely) will just be selling these "Pre-Built Computers" which they've started to do from the PS4/X1 on 🤷‍♂️

    4K BluRays and Couch Multiplayer work well on the S. I still play Singleplayer and Online Games on PC. The Xbox Controllers are cheaper than a set of joycons or the Pro Controllers. And I expect a 2nd Switch, like 3DS - new 3DS, DS-DSi, GB - GBC. Microsoft studio aquisitions have potential, but their service side has to improve on the PC side.

    🔮Xbox is now a streaming service for people who buy the device. All save data will be through a cloud hence the name XBOX CLOUD. It will have an adapter that allows you to read original xbox, xbox360 and xbox1 games. It also has a touch screen adapter for the device if you want to play on the go as well as wireless controllers sold separately or all together in the XBOX CLOUD BUNDLE. They will sell cloud games and rerelease updates online but from 2019 to 2025. In 2026 they will release the XBOX TABLET which is a handheld computer that has the Xbox cloud game service but will eventually lose to Sony with its superior competition and so Microsoft slowly bows out of the console world around 2040 to focus strictly on Microsoft software but will continue to sell Xbox controllers to pc gamers as the last product bearing the Xbox name.
    -----------
    Playstation 5, launched late 2020 will be the longest lived and final era of traditional home consoles until 2030. In 2030 after the rise and fall of XBOX CLOUD, Sony enters with the PlayStation Center having a focus on streaming games and even exclusive movies and series from Sony picture studios. Then in around 2040 Sony launches the PlayStation TV that can read any PlayStation 1-5 game disc in Sony’s history and runs at 8k which becomes the standard in affordable 8k gaming TVs with classic styled wireless PlayStation controllers instead of traditional remotes as well as a Sony vr headset leaving Sony with the Sony VR and the PLAYSTATION TV as it’s final and flagship products.
    -----
    Nintendo perfects their portable line of handhelds by offering a dock and a handheld calling it the New Switch that has an adapter sold separately that reads any game disc or cartridge in Nintendo history. Eventually the product is called the Nintendo System with an online store mainly being game focused but has standard streaming service access and an emphasis on battery life, portability, cellphone integration and augmented reality eventually becoming the sole game focused device. But with the advent of new age cellphones eyeglasses of the 2050’s Nintendo releases the affordable NINTENDO VISION only to lose against the giants of Samsung and apple eventually focusing on the gaming gloves themselves which have replaced controllers and branding them the Nintendo Gloves. They will continue to be the main source of video game creation only rivaled to the realistic graphics of Sony as the last major game studios.
    That was my vision.
    Eventually the Xbox brand becomes a retro controller for pc gamers and a game streaming app. The PlayStation brand becomes a 8k smart tv with controllers as the remote instead with a gaming app and Nintendo stays a handheld forever as a gaming glove that wirelessly connects to the eyeglass computers of the future..... 🧠 💥

    Watch ReviewTechUSA and he was talking about how Valve STEAM fucked up with the Steam Machines, selling different kinds that make Casual Consumer confused. But I commented that this is what Microsoft will do with the Xbox Consoles, Microsoft will use the Xbox Consoles as Steam Machines and they will still let you buy Physical Media if you want to, Microsoft knows we already live in this Digital World and they know that the Huge Majority Owners of PS4, PS4 Pro consoles will still buy the PS5 because of their Exclusive Games, PlayStation VR Headsets and will be able to play all the PS4 games that they bought digitally and Physical Discs. This is the reason Phil Spencer in his interview was saying that they want their games to come Xbox Consoles, PC, Tablets, Smart Phones. Microsoft knows that in the Console Market SONY will dominate with the PS5 and future PlayStation Consoles. But Microsoft will never leave the Console Market and giving Gamer's option to buy a Xbox Console with or without Bluray Drive, in my opinion is smart, as long as Microsoft gives the Consumer two options, they will be OK. The way the Internet Services here the United States is, it is a fucking JOKE, a lot and I mean a lot of places here in the United States, companies do not provide Unlimited High Speed Internet Services. My Prediction is it will take around 100 years for the United States to have Unlimited High Speed Internet Services everywhere, just because how Politics is here and also there is a Huge Majority that don't really care about Unlimited High Speed Internet Services. Hopefully in 15 years when I pay my Mortgage, I will run here in the State of Washington of USA and try to get any person who is Liberal, Conservative, Independent to back me up and try to explain Voters why they should vote for me and why it is important Unlimited High Speed Internet Services to be everywhere. Can't do nothing now, which just sucks.

    In regards to backwards compatibility, that is pretty much my sole reason for buying an Xbox One. Everything else they have to offer I can get, and get better performance from, the PC versions - and with my PS4 I can get pretty much all the same multiplats that aren't on PC, but also tons of Japanese games which Microsoft simply doesn't have. The one thing that's lacking from a PC/PS4 combo - is 360 and Xbox Original emulation. Xenia is coming along, but it'll be a while before it's anywhere close to comparable with what MS has to offer - and original Xbox Emulation? Even the Xbox One's anemic support is better than what's available to emulate. So, with my 360 Elite on it's last legs - getting an Xbox One S was an easy decision to make.
    Granted, I've been playing a bit more Xbox One games for it as of late - mostly because of the free months of GamePass and Xbox Live I want to make the most out of since I don't plan to renew them. My first game purchase for it was... well it was Sunset Overdrive, but the second one was Ninja Gaiden Black because fuck me - I only had Ninja Gaiden's first release for the Xbox One and that's not BC. And the third purchase will be Conker Live and Reloaded. I have a LOT of Xbox Original games I'd like them to make BC.
    Even if I were the kind of person who didn't go back and play classic games (and I am, my Steam Library is chock full of mostly classic games that I play quite often - not to mention my PSVita with over 100GB of roms and psp/psx eboots) - I'd still want that backwards compatibility because hardware is fragile and only getting rarer as time and use slowly erodes the original hardware. To say nothing of the utility of condensing 30 years worth of hardware into a single HDMI port. I may not play old games all of the time - but when I do want to play one, I want that capability to do so to be there. Going forward, with consoles pretty much settling on x86 standards - making them more PC like than ever and digital libraries replacing physical collections, backwards compatibility is going to be non-negotiable. Thankfully, forward compatibility pretty much guarantees that now you only have to write a single emulator core to act as a wrapper, tweak the emulation for each individual game - and then port that emulator forward to the next generation hardware. No more writing unique emulation solutions for each new generation of unique hardware - or having to include previous generation hardware in the box for native playback. Xbox One's BC should be almost as easy to run on Xbox Next - as PCSX2 is to run on a Windows 10 PC. Sony would be smart to start working on a BC solution for PSP/PS3 and previous generations of games now, so they can hit the ground running next gen and build a base they can carry forward in perpetuity.

    Sir I’ve been watching your videos for years. I discovered your videos why searching for Sega videos (I’m a Sega Fanboy) like your self. I have the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro and the Switch. I play the Xbox One X most and the PS4 Pro for exclusive games and Switch for Zelda/Mario games. I always enjoy hearing your input so I have a question for you. I assume your aware of the new Intellivision and SNK console. I have to say it’s a shocker but do you believe there is ever a chance of Sega releasing a new console? Second question is do you believe Sony will release the PS5 at $400 or realistically closer to $500 considering the new Xbox is supposed to be more powerful. Thanks and love your videos.

    Damn, the "Universal Disc Reader" would be HUGE for the Next-Gen Xbox. O_O
    I mean, they've got the emulation software which they invested thousands if not millions of dollars into, why just let it stay on the old hardware? And I'm sure they're gonna make its architecture be similar to that of the Xbox One X, for easy porting.
    And the developers who want to continue selling their old titles digitally get the option do so, just like on the Xbox One consoles.
    It'd be a win-win. ^^

    I posted a comment here yesterday, but it seems to have disappeared. Glitch or censorship, who knows. Anyway, I believe that Microsoft would aggravate a lot of Xbox One X owners if their new console was already obsolete by 2020. There are rumours of an all digital machine and that might well be the case, but if so, the Xbox One X might serve as a sort of 'template' for that machine, in whatever shape or form, and possibly even in its current form. It's powerful enough since it surpasses all of the machines of the current generation in terms of power ; what's more, I believe that they're only getting to grips with the 'X' and have only scratched the surface of what it can really do. Speculation, of course, but I know that I would be pretty pissed off if the $500 console I bought a couple of months ago will be replaced by something else in less than two years...
    That being said, I have a PS4 Pro, and I love the games on it, but the Xbox One, the whole 'eco system' that surrounds it, has something really appealing. Microsoft obviously care about their customers and it shows in what they've been doing for the last two years. The XBox One S and X are both better consoles than Sony's offerings in terms of build quality, and this is backed by a rock solid XBox Live network. If only they had some more exclusive games, they would be unbeatable, even without some zany Japanese exclusive PS4 titles. Personally, I think Microsoft has some big surprises in store for us @E3 2019. Don't take my word for it, I'm just a guy who watches TH-cam, after all, but I believe that the Xbox One X might have a few more tricks up its sleeve...

    The Xbox returned to be the Xbox. Like it was in the past against the PS2 the most performing hardware for multiplatform games, it is the same now. The problem is that the exclusive titles, aka "the games", are way more important than the hardware capability of a console. Not only those three exclusive are not so great, but also there are some wonderful games on PC and PS4 that I could not play on Xbox, I am thinking of DQ11, Ni no Kuni 2, Persona 5, Yakuza games.. for a JRPG fanatic there is still much left to desire on the Microsoft console.

    I think an xbox that could read 360 and OG xbox games will never happen for 1 reason; no xbox one x enhancements. Especially with FF13’s replaced CGI cutscenes. There’s also the possibility that title updates wouldn’t be available since that would require separate support.

    I own an Xbox one. It is the first console I have ever owned that I regret buying (NES, SNES, Genesis, PS 1 2 3). There are no exclusives that I am even remotely excited about. Scalebound was a finished AAA exclusive game and it got canceled. I am buying PS 4 after waiting for 3 years for a good exclusive. I am done with Microsoft and their crappy xbox. I am going back to PlayStation and staying there. If Microsoft wants me to even give a shit anymore they need to finish scalebound and release it for free on Xbox gold and say sorry to the fans for lying to them.

    I don't think Xbox One is a good console if you like physical games. There's literally no way to create an offline profile so once they drop xbl connection, all disc based games will be worthless and unplayable.... unless xbox 2 has backward compatability. Also achievements won't pop unless you're online.... I feel that since the 360, Microsoft have forgotten how to make a versatile console. It's pathetic.

    I have watched your Xbox videos for quite a while. In the end I caved in and bought and xb1 s. I don't have a 4k tv so I didn't think the x was worth the investment at the mo. I wasn't actually going to bother with this generation but Shenmue 3 on ps4.. Kinda had to get one. Actually your views on the xb1 changed my mind. I had bought the past 2 Xbox's without question. I love those consoles. But then all that DRM stuff just turned me off. I actually use the xb1 for exclusives and Game Pass. Not a big fan of digital gaming but the idea of actually using it to try out these games before purchasing them for a small fee is actually really good value. I can play some of my og xbox and 360 games on it as well. It got me hyped. I've actually really enjoyed the ps4 which is my fave of this gen but if Phil Spencer keeps up what he is doing with the next xbox, I may consider getting it earlier in it's lifespan than I did this one.

    The Xbox division is very valuable for Microsoft in many different ways. Numbers dont tell the whole story. They dont actually even have to "beat" PlayStation necessarily, that only matters to kids on internet forums. Microsoft without the Xbox division would be a much more boring company and very disconnected from the everyday consumer. I think numbers wise they have "lost" every generation including the 360 generation and probably never turned a profit as a business division but it does not matter. Xbox isnt going anywhere.

    I think that if they wanted to beat Sony to the PS5, they shouldn't have brought the Xbox One X last year. If you come up with a new console next year, you are basically giving Xbox One X just 2 years, that would be an insult to the people that bought it. They would be doing a kind of Sega 32X thing, even if it's forwards and backwards compatible I think we are still not ready for a new console every 2 years. On the other hand, Sony can do it because PS4 Pro will have been out 3 years in the market by that time. I agree Microsoft is doing great things, but somehow can't just get it fully together since the red ring of death. Again, they are in a position to lose on the next generation. I think this time they need to come late, but a lot better than their competition somehow.

  • @ceasarsalad119
    @ceasarsalad119 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I feel that since the Xbox 360, Microsoft have forgotten how to make a versatile console. Without an internet connection you can't even create a profile or earn achievements. Both of which prolong the consoles lifespan long after they've shut down the servers. Since there's no profile creation after shutdown, the games playable life would in my opinion be limited. I think physical copies would then only be playable for existing xbox users thus making them all worthless.
