    Hi again James after looking at your video again I can only see 4 screws holding your brackets on and should be a simple task with a pair of extra hands or just extend the one you have onto the young bird section. birds are creatures of habit. once (you) get them into a routine and stick to it. you will see a big difference. I don’t know what intentions you have with your birds. if you need any information about racing pigeons I have at least 25 yrs experience if you need any info. all the best James good going 🍺

    Hello sir looking to get into racingn flying birds, should i get a pair of breeders or should i just buy 4 youngsters to start with??

    • @RFRP
      @RFRP  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a great question!! I would recommend starting with 4-10 youngsters that you can train to fly. Then next year you could breed from them. Good luck!

    Do you have HOA in your neighborhood? if yes what they said about the pigeons.

    • @RFRP
      @RFRP  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I do not have an HOA. I specifically bought this house for that reason.

    Thank you Sir,
    What about the city?
    Would that technique be effective for those that live in the city

    • @RFRP
      @RFRP  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't see why it wouldn't work in the city. But remember that this is a temporary fix just to slow them down for a couple of hours.

    Hi dipping them in soapy water or shampoo.. will it not poision them while they clean the feathers.. I'm a new subscriber 😊

    • @RFRP
      @RFRP  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question. Unless the soap has unusual, harmful chemicals in it then it will be fine. Normal dish soap or animal shampoo will not harm the birds. Good luck!!

    I got 2 pigeons and i didn’t have them at the same time. Will they attack each other’s or pigeons don’t do that?

    • @RFRP
      @RFRP  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There may be a little fighting but that’s normal. If it is two cocks they will fight especially if they are confined to a small space. Every time I introduce a new bird to the flock there is a little fighting that happens as they establish and re-establish their territory

    How many times will this process, before the birds are settle?

    • @RFRP
      @RFRP  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This method assumes that you have first had them out sitting on the landing board several times for an hour or two each time. Once or twice is sufficient

  • @SherieSchmitt
    @SherieSchmitt 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Will it hurt the bird if the soap drys?

    • @RFRP
      @RFRP  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not at all. In fact, after a couple hours you'd never know you had soaked the bird in soapy water because the bloom produced on the feathers is replaced quite quickly.

    Will this work for older birds like prisoners

    • @RFRP
      @RFRP  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If they have been in the new location for a long time and have been able to be out in a fly pen then this will definitely help the first time you let them out. Most of the time prisoners are your breeders and are too valuable to risk letting out ever. But if you want to rehome an older bird to fly at your loft get in on some youngsters and then try this the first time you let it out. Chúc may mắn, bạn!!
