Good little video with some sound advice. I think the fella advising getting them going early offered the soundest advice. Holding them back too long seems to be detrimental and results in flyaways.
@@kerbyjackson88 I’m have fallen prey to that very scenario multiple times ending in lost early rounds.
@RFRP I believe that has been a component of my settling issues the last few years. I think we can get away with it in Rollers, but the Racers are too strong even at 35 or so days. It usually seems like "my picks" for structure, type and feather are more prone to be flyaways in that scenario. It could be that they are already prone to be too strong at that age. Going into this season, I've had to promise myself to be especially attentive to getting them going early.

Thank you for this. We free range our chickens and hate keeping them in the run. Unfortunately, this has been a couple weeks of loss for us. After ordering the mirror wind vein and the mirror plates that hang from trees i realized i needed a new tactic. I hung a speaker from a tree and play this in the morning, knock on wood, so far this has helped. Again, Thank you!
