    I had a coworker who made me misserable. My acid reflux would go nuts when I realized I had to work with her. She bullied me relentlessly, and I turned her into our supervisor who basically called me a liar over the whole ordeal. It got to a point where I finally gave my two weeks notice. I was free of her. She started bullying two lesbian co-workers and the sh hit the fan. She lied and said it didn't happen. She was warned not to do it again. She came back into the kitchen and started calling her lesbian co-workers all sorts of gay slurs in ear shot of the administrator and she was fired before the end of the day was over. Sorry but that's not how that works. ESPECIALLY if your partner's family member or friend is the one telling you. If it's their friends or family they're almost always going to be telling the truth cause they have more of a reason to cover for them than to lie. Smart people ALWAYS consider that such an accusation might be true and then have to decide how trustworthy they think the source is. I once had an ex tell me the guy I was dating was cheating after I didn't really believe the same news from a mutual friend. Not only was he telling the truth, he also eventually got the guy to basically admit to it in front of me. Trusting blindly is STUPID.

    • @purelysmetalnightcore
      @purelysmetalnightcore 3 ปีที่แล้ว +44

      As someone with an HR degree, this is very true. But sometimes HR can be put into very sticky situations because of how important it is to document everything, lest the company is accused of discrimination or otherwise wrongful termination. So if you're being treated unfairly at work, it's your responsibility to prove it, otherwise the accused party can simply say they didn't do it or accuse you or the company of being the harasser. I love the company I work for a lot but it took so long to fire an incompetent trainee because she used her mental illnesses as an excuse for her poor performance and therefore HR was required by law to accommodate her as much as possible. Currently having that issue with another horrible employee in my department that has a lot of health issues so doesn't do her work because she "doesn't feel well" so HR has to go through extra hoops to accommodate her and be able to approve that she was accommodated for as much as possible should she be terminated.

      @@jamesonweimann4720 actually, HR came about because of unions. The departments started forming to help companies comply with the labor laws that labor unions were helping pass. There have been studies done that because of the rise of HR and what they do for employees and employers the need for unions and union membership has diminished. While everyone says HR is only out to protect the company, remember that employees ARE the company. And as much as HR wishes they could be omniscient, they aren’t. So yes, you need to document things for yourself because otherwise people can’t help you.
      And a side note, I call shenanigans on the story because to have a 2 person HR team with a 45 person company is crazy, 3 people is absurd. And they suggested it was more than 3. Also, if she truly expressed concern about the 1 HR person being bias, she wouldn’t have been involved in that meeting, per her contract alone.

      Depends on where they lived. In some places, it's illegal to create a recording of a private conversation without consent of both involved parties. In the US, states that allow recording of private conversations with consent of only one involved party are called "one-party consent" states, while states that require consent of both parties are called "two-party consent" states. (this is why many companies have recordings tell you that "this call may be recorded", BTW; as a safeguard against legal issues.)
      If OP lived in a one-party consent state (or international equivalent), she would be fine. However, if she lived in a two-party consent state (or international equivalent), she could potentially have gotten in legal trouble.
      As a side note: in the US, the legality of creating a recording of a conversation with consent of only one involved party is determined by where the recording is created. So, if you record a phone call with someone in a two-party consent state, but you happen to be in a one-party consent state during the call, you won't get in legal trouble, even if you don't inform them of said recording.

He also would have to prove the recording happened, which he can't, if the ex doesn't help him, which after hearing the recording he would be a lot less likely to do.
      But most important: grow some balls. Being an adult means to take responsibility for ones own actions. If you feel something needs to be set right, break the law and deal with the consequences. The law essentially is a very special menu with some very special prices. Not more, not less. The risk in such a situation is minimal. Most likely nothing happens, worst case you pay a fine.

I have cried over it feeling like I wouldn't feel like a woman if they were removed but could probably be alright with implants ( even though I never would want them unless my breasts were removed). I also probably would have tried to avoid Jill when she started as well because I wouldn't want even more attention put on me that what Jill was already doing but after asking her to stop a couple of times I would have went to HR even if it was her friend to make sure it was documented and in hopes it would stop but as far as it went with OP Idk how Id feel but I think I might want to consider sueing considering when Jill found out the reason for them she didn't have empathy or cared how her words hurt OP but instead tried to get her fired?!? That doesn't make much sense to me why she would do that but the fact Jill took it that far would be the only reason why Id considered a lawsuit.
    I hope OP doesn't have to deal with Jill's friend in HR coming after her bc Jill was fired. Nobody should have to work at a place where people can treat you that way and get away with it. Poor OP she went through enough without having to deal with a Jill and her HR buddy.

    Me, I'm transgender. I cant wait to get the top surgery done and I would be able to look at the scarring while it's there with pride. But I feel so bad for op for the fact hers cause her mental pain, and I understand the feeling thanks to the fact I am trans. Losing a piece of you, that you know you're meant to have (same for the trans people who knew they were meant to have it but never had it) and just getting depressed because it's like it isnt your body. That this cant be real and that it's wrong to be missing it. That's some of the reasons why I can come up for why she was depressed like that. Why it mentally pained her so much h to see those scars. I never wish any pain like that on anyone. Never. Hell, if it was possible, she could have my chest. I don't want it. But sadly it isn't possible and it could be very dangerous for the person receiving. (Look at a video of this doctor reacting to someone demanding to be ejected in the butt with their friends fat that they just got surgically removed)
    All I can say, if i see anyone who went through surgery like that and feels like that, I'd show them love, tell them they are gorgeous and beautiful all the time. They need comments like that. NEED IT to help keep going and feel normal again. Make sure that they know, that scar isnt shown with lost, but to show you won a battle. A battle that you snuffed out before it got the chance to take you and over power you. You did it and beat it. And that you should be proud for your smart and fast thinking. And remind her every day of that.

    Her brother inadvertently confessed to the lie when begging her to reveal hers, she could show that to her ex and finally get closure
