I love the look and feel of this mouse but the batteries drain FAST. If you forget to turn it off, the battery will be drained within a week. I mentioned this to the creator and he told me to address it by using rechargeable batteries. It's a great novelty, but avoid this if you want to use it day-to-day unless he addresses the battery life.
I haven't used it much as a daily driver. I know Mike over at Retro Tech or Die has been using it as one for his laptop and loving it. I'm mostly just using it for my C128, and I'll be trying out the Atari mode coming up soon.
@@realchef_tom I don't use my amiga daily so I'm ok with it for now. I really wish he fixed the battery issue though, it's clearly a huge problem. I'd use it more often if it wasn't an issue, and probably weigh it down a bit too
@@realchef_tom that is quite true actually.I have to revise my previous “hot take”. I just received mine this week and it is indeed much lighter than original, even with batteries. It would feel much more “premium” and like the original if there was some added weight
I wouldn't have expected this to arrive if I hadn't seen RToD's video this morning. 😂😂
That LED is SOOOOO much brighter with the white DB9 case!
It really is.
I missed the kickstarter but got in when the web store opened. Hopefully it comes soon.
Awesome!
I got mine this week and I'm loving it with my A500mini 🤘🏻

Makes sense to assess the weight with the batteries installed, as that’s how it would be used.
Yeah. Even with the batteries, they don't make up the weight of having a real steel ball in there.

Yeah. I was talking about this with Mike from RetroTechorDie this weekend, and we are now both considering cracking it open and adding a few washers.
Awesome video, mine came without a user manual, can you post it somewhere? Its nowhere on the internet
Please help
Thanks! I've been away all summer and it's packed up, but once I'm home and unpacked next week, I'll try to get mine scanned.
