Been thinking of getting one of these but maybe adding a lipo battery and charging to it. Also like the idea of at least one red button. Could definitely be a fun project.
Gimmick. Batteries run out after a week. The owner refuses to improve it and told me to buy rechargeables. It's light, and the weight feels strange. Looks great, but not a good mouse.
@@RetroTechorDie Well, maybe the creator will swap my bad one then. I own two of them and it's an ongoing problem. I hope he fixes it. So far he's ignoring the issue with our correspondence. So add bad customer support to the list unless he addresses it. I own two of these mice, so maybe I have one from a bad batch?
@@RetroTechorDie I offered to replace it to the guy who's making them and he told me to get a rechargeable battery. So as far as I'm concerned this product is still just a decorative piece until he figures it out. The ball is in his court so far he's just being defensive and sticking to the quality of his product.. which he thinks it's normal for a mouse to drain an entire battery in the matter of days when the package says up to 6 months on the side. Keep in mind, I only use this mouse for about 15 minutes at a time and the entire thing drains within a couple weeks if I don't turn it off. So yes, it's a gimmick. I also spent $30 on some rechargeable batteries that I wish I didn't have to do. So yeah, if what you say is true his service is awful
@@RetroTechorDie that mirrors what he said. Surprised he isn't trying to fix it. It's either a QA problem or customer service then. I hope my problem isn't the norm but I have two of them. So it's unlikely
Okay, your graphic says 2 moths later, which I know is a typo, but I say run with it and this is your new measure of time. Base unit, lifespan of a moth.
DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! FALSE ADVERTISING!!! The mouse drains the batteries within two weeks time and stops responding, even if its not used. So it's a big big big flaw to this project and false advertising saying the batteries last for 6 months. Maybe they do if you turn it off everytime you stop using it, but who does that. It costs me 100$ with shipping and VAT to learn this lesson. Now all I got for this money is a wireless to DB9 converter
@@RetroTechorDie perhaps you're using it in Bluetooth mode on your PC or laptop. Try to switch to wireless dongle as I am using it on Amiga. Then it drains the battery
Hey! I resemble one of your guests! Thanks for the boost.
Thanks for the company!
I noted in my review that it felt weird without the weight of the ball. I wanted some more weight too.
100% just a little bit more weight would make a world of a difference.
@@RetroTechorDie The first mod right there, find a place for some washers or fishing line weights in the shell?

LiPo and USB C charging would be a great mod (especially as it will add a little weight)
Nice and Good Review Mike
Glad you enjoyed it

Thats intresting, I have been using non rechargeable Duracell and haven't changed them yet.

@@ifoo I have heard of various issues with the first batch, most have been swapped. Hopefully you can get yours swapped out as well.

I wonder if we have different batches, I haven't experienced anything like this..and you're the second one to comment on this issue.
