James said last year he was going to get an 8.8 installed and good race axles. James needs to get on the stick and get that shit handled. If he would, it would be one hell of a good race car and would probably make him some money. Not get him out of debt, though!!!

MJM’s Workshop Lolol was thinking the same thing at that shot where u see 5,000 enclosed trailers lol. That's why I loved that Cleetus drives Ruby there and proved it in that long ass trailering event. Not sure many of these rides participated in that 1,200 mile deal or whatever it was lol

@Ada 1812 I drive the hour to Atco in my S10 more times than not and it runs deep in the 8's. We'll usually hit the streets in Philly after for a few more and then drive the hour and a half to get home and I'm not the only one. I know of at least 2dozen guys that run low 9 to low 8's that do the same. Hell we usually set up the money races at the track for later.
@Ada 1812 car only makes an insane amount of horse power under boost so as long as you aren't getting on the two step at a red light you'll be fine.

C-had The single dad man I love Ruby too as IVe had 6 corvettes , 2 being "base" c6's and an LPE c6z but totally agreed also having an LPE c5 and c5z,..I'd LOVE to see LeRoy going for the record again!!! Before I'd ever seen or heard of Cleetus I found a 2006 c6 z06 hail damage salvage donor online and thought man that would be bad ass to just take the body panels off and do some sort of cage on a c6 z06, widebody, all the magnesium space frame chassis tech/parts and floor with an LS7, but was an unknown doing something like that back then I didn't pull the trigger and years later wish I would have, lol , seeing what a base c5 has turned into been inspiring.
I think tho Cleetus said fairly recently without some body panels it's going to be a real challenge at the manual trans world record times now but would love to see even some carbon fiber nose or something to get where he wants it, sure jsut getting air over and under would help tremendously and With the hook up at the wind Tunnel he could really utilize that connection and CAD work up some sort of light aero needed to get air over & under the flat radiator and tires, hell I'd be happy to do the CAD work free if they can get me what they need lol then Jsut 3D print and get a CF shop to mold it. 👍 I'd built a 2005 Jeep Wrangler with a build c6 LS2, Atlas II T-case , 4L80E auto and a Tera60R with a Detroit and 4:88's , thing SCREAMED out of the hole even on 35's , lift the tires every red light as wanted but the flat windshield , grill and wind dam of 35" of exposed 12.5" tire and lack of aero crippled it above 80mph , I built it as a Moab trail rig, not a drag project lol but was a hell of a lot of fun pulling up on mustangs back in the day with an extremely light 475 whp Jeep TJ wrangler. gave me a serious appreciation of aero and the lack of tho lol! Now Seeing FWD imports getting carbon wide body noses to get times much lower shows how much that lack of aero is hurting it, think a simple CF aero nose and maybe a lexan windshield would do wonders. At least worh a shot and be good content , sure a lot would love to see what that would do and if he modded an actual corvette nose , might not get hassled as much as a stick shift corvette lol. That car and getting the stick shift GM world record was what grew the channel leaps and bounds, miss seeing that car. Been here since 20k, the c7 , stock Leroy and rennely days. Missing Leroy and with all the big name backing he has now, be cool to see him really go after the world record again! All that money to Pro-Fab and Texas Speed, shame to be sitting parked so much.

Jacob Ray i said the same but said a Ford 9" and a few replies informed me if he goes solid axle it changes his class, not implying u were saying go solid axle but I had no idea going a 9" solid bumps him out of the class he likes to stay in. Sounds like there's a few better IFS options tho from the Altima, either way, the $20 welded 2 year diff made its money , time for upgrade. 🙂

bill nalder agreed! Not a chance in hell ANY of those run to the parts store. Hell they trailer them to the actual street races. They'd get a lot more street runs in if they jsut pullled up and run on the highway instead on unloading from an enclosed trailer and then playing with the laptop for 15 minutes. This 30 mile deal is cool, even cooler seeing that big ole 1,200 mile multi track event Cleetus did with the trailers , talk about street car! I had a '06 LPE c6 z06 a while back , only 606whp which was ok for the time but I did street runs, track, road course events and the optima series in Vegas once but also daily drove it winter and summer to the office, did trips with the ex wife across the country, picked my daughters up from school etc. street cars these days isn't what it used to be for a lot of them. If u have to trailer it , shouldn't be called a street car. See some had long drives and that's why but guarantee a lot of these 5,000 trailers in the video at a street car event weren't that far, but the 30 mile cruise definitely makes it a lot more legit.

Tyler Clarkson I was wondering what happened to the beautiful dark haired Italian girl who's dad owned that auto shop where they blew the car wheel 100' in the air lol. Had no idea he had a new girl until the Maverik build but good for him keeping his personal life off the channel, the comment section isn't a nice place to a lot of females from what I've seen and it's pathetic. See some of the most beautiful girls on Big Daws channel in his pranks and the comment sections are freaking horrible to them. I don't blame Cleetus, Cooper and James a bit for keeping them relatively off channel. Cleetus girl is for sure attractive, coops too and James wife is beautiful too but I'd for sure keep them off just because of the comment section. I'm a protective of my love intrests as well and would do the same thing. I remember seeing PFIs video a while back where he took that Amazingly gorgeous hispanic waitress that had a little TH-cam channel for a ride in wago. But some of the rediculous comments on there made me sick. Her channel has grown a bunch from that but she mentioned shortly after how she had to take a break because of the negativity and self consciousness the comment section was taking on her. Eric Freeman Cleetus said he will still be driving Ruby a lot, but he had his 240 at this event so sure it made sense for Cleetus to take his auction vette for the run, plus, hones his skill, Cleetus is the driver on the channel and mentioned he needs some wheel time and I think it's a good idea, case in point with the right foot deal lol, when Leroy gets back out there they can run tandem but with leroys times he has to compete with now getting SO low probably a good idea to get some wheel time himself. Just my opinion. James runs the 240 a lot but I do enjoy watching him run Ruby too. 👍

sasdesignsny yes, by dq. When the ride broke the bulbs some were asking why Cleetus stayed in it, he said to get full data of a full pass and at this event if u redlight , you can't break out after an opponent redlights so he had nothing to worry about. Just FYI.

stigwastaken I started watching when he was still street racing the c7 and had jsut bought the bodyless stock LS c5 (Leroy) and I'll tel ya it's some amazing content, watching him build it to get the GM stick shift world record was awesome! When ya get bored ya oughta go back and watch that while build, was crazy! But I do love Ruby too, who woulda thought the reliable street car running 8's would be an auction corvette struck by lighting with a junkyard truck 5.3 in it with a high mount turbo and tractor flap Lolol such a cool build! I LOvE that he ignored the advice to hide the turbo and keep the car polished and clean! Such an iconic Cleetus build rift behind Leroy 👍👍

almost always people get rid of the supercharger to go turbo as otherwise the supercharger just becomes an air restriction
