Actually I have liked this video twice with my two account because of many reasons such as you explain so good that I personally who am not English language, got it fastly, you covered the pros and cons as well and many more. I hope I can grow up fastly on Etoro with you
Very interesting. I’m retired with a big pension investment, but also have “spare cash” ... so I’m just starting to invest. I need to make £10k per year for the next 6 years to pay for my Grandsons secondary education! Wish me luck!
as a newby I have watched over a dozen videos , ETORO related, and your tutorial is by far the easiest to understand and if you have more tutorials then i'll establish a library on my desktop, thanks (being a jock helps I suppose)
Hi, have you ever made a video telling your history of how did you start on etoro, what difficulties and problems you faced on beginning? if not, can you just please make a video of this? Cheers
Etoro looks more complicated than it is, it’s a good way of being self taught in the stock market, understanding the terminology. The more you know, the more you want to know, and that can only be a good thing.
I'm from Glasgow and I was caught off guard by the accent! Very good video, I've used eToro for a couple of months now and this has taught me a bit about those features that I've been unsure of. Thanks
This is best video on etoro for beginners. Thank you!!! I has very basic questions such as, what's a Stop Loss, how does copy works - can I only invest for example 50 usd copying someone, etc. Thank you for addressing this questions. 🙏🏼
Hi Jennifer, thank you so much for posting this video.I am new here on Etoro, and completely new to Investing,so your video has taught me quite a lot which I am really grateful for.Thank you Jennifer. :)
I love how well you have explained this so well!! I have watched multiple videos that have tried to explain the platform to a complete beginner, and this is the only one that I have been able to fully understand! Thanks 😊
MamaFurFur -that's brilliant video but just one question: how do you handle UK taxman with any gains? Transactions in $s, I assume for any holdings that pay dividends that also will be expressed in USD. I'd love to speculate on crypto or some ETFs (especially those precious metal mining related) but how would you handle tax owned to HMRC? Do you calculate yourself or do you (personally) use an accountant to do this for you?
Thank you for your help. Your explanation is so easy to understand. I just want to know if there is a risk involve in copying a trader in terms of leverages? If the trader I'm copying used a leverage say 50x, would that be copied as well to my portfolio?
i'm new to this, can you just invest a sum like £1000/$ into one share like silver or bitcoin ect and leave it their for about 6 months and then sell and take the profit "or loss" then or have you got to buy and sell every day / week as the share goes up and down and just see what happens to your money
Thankyou, very useful video, it looks nice but note etoro doesnt allow you to input data for existing trades you have made prior on other apps and platforms in order to monitor in addition to new trades made on etoto so it really is only for those who are starting trading for the first time. Also only allows a single portfolio so found it very limited compared to a lot of stuff out there. Looks nice but functionality very limited but good video thankyou.
Great info thank you! I have used all my stocks and shares isa quota for the year. Like yourself I allocate my s&s isa to vanguard. When investing outside of the ISA using the likes of etoro am I correct in saying you can take profits up to £12,300 per year tax free, irrespective of your personal income from being either employed or self employed? So for example the best way to take profits every year would be to make sure you don't sell more than £12,300 worth of profit per year outside of your isa? Thanks so much.
Hi, Thank you for sharing, your video helped me a lot. I would like to ask you, if that possible to sell a stock online once it's trading on a virtual platform? and how do i do that? Thank you
@@JenniferAMThomson sorry for the dumb question but how do I even know if I’ve even placed a cfd? I bought crypto coins. And that’s all I wanted to buy just the xxx amount of coins from a crypto currency. Could I be owing money if that currency goes down too much?

Can you tell me how to leave a post on the main etoro feed on my mobile? I can easily post something when on the laptop, but i can't find the way to post something on the main feed when using the app on my mobile. Thanks
Having recently started using etoro I was a bit surprised at the charge they make to convert GBP to USD. I was aware that there was a spread price when buying and selling stock and also knew about the $5 withdrawal fee but actually thought the conversion fee was embedded in the rate you received. I went back and checked the conversion fees. It says "from 50 pips" with the explanation. "Pip stands for percentage in point. One pip is the smallest price change that a given exchange rate can make, and therefore refers to the very last digit of a price. A pip is used to measure the change in price of one currency in relation to another" In reality what this means is that for every £1000 you deposit etoro charges you £30 which apparently equates to 50 pips. Unless I've misunderstood.
Great video , thanks. I have a. E. Toro account , 100% in a copy crypto equal portfolio , started with £50k , now £39k lol . Leave it in there for 5 years see what happens . Appreciated.
Hi, nice video, informative as well. I'm new using etoro, and would like to know what do you mean by saying that etoro is a cfd platform? You can actually buy all kind of assets in etoro and not only cfd's, cant you? So, i would like to know why do you sort out cfd's out all other possibilities? Thanks in advance!
I'm building a portfolio through etoro and wondered what sort of money should you put into each stock? I'm using it for a more long term investment so obviously want to try and achieve a half decent return if all goes well.

Very useful video Jen thank you. I currently use Trading212 and was thinking about switching. This has given me food for thought. What happens with any US tax obligations on selling. As a UK investor it is often hard to get appropriate information on us tax implications for UK residents. I know you have done a video previously on the correct form to fill, but still no wiser as to when and how I need to pay tax. How does it work on etoro, or is there no tax as it's CFD only?
is the 1X a CFD or the actual share? when we select a stock like apple or tesla and go for 1X it's says ''you're buying the underlying asset'' which means the equity not the CFD, am I right? thanks
Im currently living with my parents as a student, they ask me for tax number, should I give them from my parents or make my own and why do they need it?
Thanks for this very clear video. Thank you

impossible to figure out where to find a stock or ETF to trade or create a watchlist for. And I have used every major platform and they are all easy Schwab, Etrade, etc
there are more than 7000 stocks trading in London stock exchange, but in my etoro account only 302 are showing. what use of etoro if i can't access 96% of the market ???!!!
Do I have to pay a taxes in UK withdrawing money from Etoro and how? Second question: the tax should be paid from profit. And if there no profit and you just taking the invested money, do you still have to pay tax Thanks
