@@JenniferAMThomson NEED HELP Could you help explain if i can do the following: I created a trading 212 account and invested about £2500 into the isa account section this year. I then setup an investment ISA with Aegon in November and paid in £50 a month. Have i made a mistake is this breaking Tax rules? I will not be paying in 20,000 in either this year.
@@llamudos9809 The total across all your ISAs in tax year 2020/21 is limited to £20k, so you can have 1 ISA with £20k or 4 ISA accounts with £5k each. If you have any additional money to invest maybe hold onto it until the new 2021/22 tax year starts so you can add it all under under the new allowance, or you could still invest any extra savings in a standard invest account which is only taxable on profits over £12,300, although Rishi Sunak is likely to pull the CGT allowance way down to just a few thousand in 2021 to start paying for his lockdown splurge. Heck he might even reduce the ISA allowance too, but you currently get to keep and accumulate each annual allowance, so if it's £20k again next year then you can bulk up your ISA pot with a further £20k on top of what you might already have accumulated in there from all previous tax years. If you were able to feed in £20k per year for 20 years you would have an ISA pot of £400k with all profits on top of that being completely tax free, to either keep in your ISA for growth, or to withdraw and supplement (or even replace) your income.
I’ve gone from 0 ideas on how to begin my journey to 3 - not exactly the ideas that you suggested, but it got my juices flowing for sure! Liked and subbed! Thank you!
Wow, a lovely Scottish lassie to teach me how to create an internet business. I will succeed now, because I'm Scottish too, based in Ibrox Glasgow! I feel the rapport already!! 😀😀 I'm really in3terested Jennifer in creating faceless You Tube videos and then marketing them. You see Jennifer, I have a physical disability called cerebral palsy which means I am unable to use my right arm & my speech is slightly affected. However, I have a musical talent, I play keyboards with my left hand in my home-based recording studio, & in May 2020 I graduated with a BA Honours degree in Audio Production at SAE Institute here in Glasgow, but now, alas, the music industry is practically non-existent now with the covid pandemic!! I'd love to hear back from you whenever you get the chance, and I look forward to working with you as my business mentor. Best wishes, John McAdie
Hi John - I would say absolutely you have the talents to start a faceless youtube channel, so my best advice is just to start! Use the creative talents now and start sharing those with the world - TH-cam is a great place as people all from the world can hear your work. Go for it!
Many are asking how they would get started with acx and what equipment is required. I think the video is misleading because you require kit and a secure quiet room with dampening props to create a high quality sound. This was not mentioned in the video and you would need to learn and choose the software you decide to use to complete your recording. This is mentioned on the acx website. Therefore this is suitable for someone who would like to invest into the kit and are have enough time to be dedicated with it. It would be good to know if anyone has tried this from watching your video and how they've gotten along.
Thank you for this video Jenifer. I personally enjoy when you get practical and show us through the different apps and websites like this one . That is very helpful! :)
Hi Jennifer thanks for the ideas in the video! How much money and time did you invest in your drop shipping business? What were the highs and lows that you encountered?
Love all your videos! I live in Scotland so I am glad to hear the Scottish voice so I know that all the info you offer will be valid to myself. Most financial video's on TH-cam are US so a lot of info is not valid to UK. So thank you and will be trying a lot of your info :)
Some things to note for ACX, some consideration also needs to be given to certain equipment and living conditions one is in. So things like a good microphone (small earphones etc not ideal), then things like laptop fan noise need to be considered, and generally the echo (or other noise) depending on where you live. From the 3 websites reviewed ACX was the one which was more preferable for me, so thank you very much! Will just need to have a good think about the setup to ensure it's suitable to give audio book reading a go. Thank you for a great video!
Hey Jen, another brilliant video!! I’m angry at myself for not pushing on with the drop shipping option 🤦🏾♂️. I’ll have to dig out the work I started on it a couple of years ago.
Thankyou for posting this very helpful video. All these ideas sound amazing. I'm quite creative and have already created a couple of designs on teespring and printify. I love the last one as I believe I have a well spoken British accent.
It’s important to note that it’s unlikely that you tube will either monetise you, or keep you monetised if you do not have voice over. Simple text based won’t cut it with you tube these days.
Wonderful video! Thank you. I want to know if the price that displays automatic once I upload my design is the right price suggested by teespring or do I have to change. I am not sure how to price my item as there are different prices on google search for similar product. Could you please advice. Thank you :)
What device would you use to make the voice over recording on? For the audition on the audio books how would that work and if you got picked would you have to record your voice over in a studio or how does it work?
Hi Jen, Just a question - Is there any risk of Copyright Infringement when using & editing the free to use designs on Canva & then using them to make money on Teespring? Great Vid!
Hi,i have only started to watch your videos, this week. I am toying with the idea of creating a channel. I enjoy your presentations, very honest and straight foward. I am looking for something new and different for me to engage with. I have never consider making my own content. Many thanks for your inspiration . Best wishes to you and your family.
Great video well explained for beginners like myself, I have subscribed and look forward to seeing much more. With regards to the drop shipping how do you deal with returns i.e. wrong size ordered or not as expected etc. If you do not hold stock how does this work, is the item replaced and if so who pays the cost ?
How much do you make of www.teespring.com when you started it? Curious how much you are thinking for just setting one up and letting it sit there with say 100 random products. Is it just pointless unless you actively keep on top of it?
Thank you so much MamaFurFur. First vid I'm watching of yours, bless ya for sharing! Question: are there any copywrite issues we could run into, when creating designs on products for teespring?
Hi there, are you sure you can use canva's designs for reselling? I want to start designing greeting cards for my etsy shop but not sure if I can use their designs due to copyright?
As long as the images are not protected by copyright in any way, Canva allow you to use them for products and promotions. Always best to double check the images/graphics you are using of course and you can always reach out to them directly to be sure.
On the first Tshirt business, do I have to actually have a hoodie and print on it all am I just selling my design? I'm based in Zambia ( in Africa) BTW do these apply to me too
Hi there - so this is print on demand, so you provide the images as digital files and then they will print it physically for you onto garments and send to customer directly.
Thank you so so much Jennifer. I came across your video in a moment I was feeling down and clueless about what to do in the future. Your video gave me hope like no other in this particular niche. Thank you. I’ll try them and fingers crossed. Elza
This is a wonderful video. I wrote a book and published it on Amazon Kindle. Not any people bought it and it is changing to advertise for free. In Canada one of my sister's relatives takes photos and sells them very successfully. I would like to improve my book and publish it in print. I am keen to write some non fiction books and a novel that I began writing years ago.
Thanks that was a very helpful video- just one question once you choose the book you want to audition for how do you actually audition for it I cannot find an option?
Well this is the first video i seen from you but its amazing!!! But i have one question considering Teespring selling and everything, and thats who handles the taxes for everything? Like do i have to pay additional taxes? I hope i said that question correctly 😁😁
Great idea's on this video, Just one question with the drop shipping in your example with the t-shirts/socks) the company that will make them, do they not want a minimum order.
hello, the voice over on motivational video, i noticed that there are several popular voice over like the rock, denzel washington, steve jobs or tony robbins. are there any copyright claims on that? if not, do you know how or where can i find those clips?
Hi Jennifer, I am a small investor like I buy shares in small amounts. Can you please advise me the shares I should buy - for short term and long term though I prefer long term? I invested some money in National Express and Centrica shares- this was my own decision with no advice from anyone - and making a decent profit right now. Thank you.
I really need to start one of these side hustle. My wife is very creative. Do I need to invest money in stock? Also tax would we need to pay tax on this passive income
I know many use Canva to create products for Amazon Kindle (notebooks, book covers etc), so I don't believe it is illegal as the items are using stock graphics and materials. Always best to check though if you feel unsure.
Hi Jennifer, just saw your video its brilliant. You inspired me. Ready to start my drop shipping business. Could I have more details about it. About to receive the payment could I link it to my Uk bank account?
Im new here and i must say jen, the first vid i watched was your budgeting vid and ive been using that budgeter ever since. Ive been thinking a lot about leaving one of my two jobs to start attempting to make a side hustle and earn money from it by the end of 2021. Where can i start to visualise what my plan could be.
I would say start by writing down a list of 10 things you believe you could do as a side hustle idea right now. Pick 1-2 of them to start in the next month and give them a go :) If they don't work, move onto the next on the list and so on.....something or many things will stick for sure!
Fantastic video thank you so much, am going to try every one of them😀😀😀!!!!
Good luck!

You have to register as self-employed and complete a tax return. It's shocking that she hasn't mentioned anything about tax.
How do you pay tax on your earnings from these websites?
