Somehow all of the decks reflected their personalities perfectly. Jimmy was full-on red, Josh paid silly costs just to untap things, Graham put in a card that completely hosed his deck just because it was funny, and Kathleen was just pure deviousness. Absolutely perfect.

I have a question that I thought of re-watching this could jimmy make his dream deck of just mountains and lighting bolts and incinerates with the old rules of magic? I’m pretty sure there’s a rule a while back where you could put any amount of a card in a deck (I’m asking you because I’m not sure if the rule is real because I only herd it once from online and it’s been a while so I ain’t sure if I read right)

a dragon reading a book? this should tell you something. if a weak nerd reads a book it is fine, if a greedy powerful and arrogant dragon reads a book he has something different in mind from a shiny hoard or a fresh prinzess, i doubt its a cooking book or a guide into stocks

As a beginner Magic Player, I have to say that this is the best youtube channel for beginners looking to get more into Magic. It's very approachable, technical, but overly, the card showcase and explanation makes understanding everything so much easier. But it's also great for veteran players because of the deck variations. Great show you guys, I really appreciate it!
Emo_Gamer 1 You definitely should! It's real fun to play with friends. Some of Magic may be overwhelming to new players, but it isn't that bad. You start to understand the rules a lot better the more you play. :)

Emo_Gamer 1 if you feel you understand these Commander games and have friends who can play, I suggest you each buy a Commander Pre-Con (if not online, Wal-Mart, Target or hopefully your Local Game Store) for 35-40 dollars each and just start playing! If you want more educational MTG content that shows you the ropes on how to play, I highly recommend Spellslingers by Geek and Sundry here on TH-cam hosted by Day[9].

The gameplay in this episode was very fun and dynamic. It felt packed with tons of great stuff: alliances, painful manabases and upkeeps, pings, sacrifice effects, red bursts of mana and damage, and something near and dear to all of our hearts, classic Counterspell doing what it does best. Everything seemed to fit so well together this episode. So, thanks for another great one, it may have been the best yet.

Great channel and great show. Your Gameknights is the best way to watch a Magic game (imho). Think I bingewatched all the matches and now I am listening to the podcasts on the way to work, just over an hours drive made very interesting.
I loved that episode! I started playing MTG at 11 years old, back when the 5th edition was brand new. It totally got me nostalgic of the good ol' times. Seeing a large number of those older looking cards was amazing and brought back some sweet memories. I also remember how gloriously crappy was my first deck too. Fun times. :P
After almost two years this is round about the 6th time i watch this episode. I never watched other episode of Game Knights more then two times but this one episode has a special place in my heart. The original Cromium and Nicol Bolas decks are just awesome and i love to see them playing with these 100% retro cards over and over again. It was just a great time when EDH was created and the elder dragons where THE commanders on a pile of cards from their time. Am i the only one who would love to see an episode featuring the original old cards and elder dragons once more? Lets say only cards between alpha and the mirage block and the legends elder dragons for commander. i would literaly pay to see an episode like this happen.

What about playing edh emperor? It’s great for deck design and the gameplay is crazy! Boardwipes are not really good especially if you’re the emperor!
